Since installing SP3 device monitoring with with sending email no longer works. My question is, do you need the agent installed on the server in order for some of the core function to work. after reading I found that some of the .exe run out of the LDCLIENT directory, so it would make sense to me that the client agent needs to be installed.
we removed the client becuase we had some pronlems when we went to SP3, the issue is corrution in the database. So before I install the agent again on the core, can someone tell me if the agent is needed?
