Policy tasks not running correctly

So the local IT at my site is having issues with a few policy tasks. What they do is image up a machine using LANDesk provisioning, add said machine to a group of devices, then have a few policy tasks that run after the fact (so the policy tasks run based on the machines in that group). What we're finding is that some of the new machines simply are not getting the policy tasks. They don't even show up in the pending list of machines.

For testing, we have let the machines sit out over the weekend to see if they would do an auto inventory scan and security scan to see if they would then "include" themselves into that group.

But as of this morning, they are still not in the pending list of those tasks.

As a work around, I was able to set up a provisioning task for them to run what those policy tasks should have, but I was curious as to why those policy tasks never run on these machines. From what I can tell, the LANDesk clients are working normally (I can send Push tasks and patching appears to be working OK).

Again they are adding a group of machines to the policy tasks (so not adding a query or individual machines to the tasks). I've also restarted the services on the LANDesk core server just to see if something was stuck there.

Any ideas as to what the issue is? Is there possibly a size limit on a policy task (we have about 1000 machines in it)? We're currenly running 9.0 SP3.

Thanks for any help!
