Migrate on-premise AppSense 8.6 version to Microsoft Azure Cloud
We have on-premise AppSense 8.6 installed on Windows 2008 R2 and we would like to migrate this server to Microsoft Azure Cloud. Following points we came across to think before migration;
- Whether AppSense 8.6 is cloud ready or compatible on Azure
- Is there any separate licenses we need to consider for Azure Migration or existing on premises licenses will also work on azure with no cost implication.
- is there any technical document or steps that we can follow to migrate AppSense 8.6 to Azure with Same OS or Upgraded OS.

How do you use dism.exe in the Deploy Image action?
I would like to use dism.exe to restore images using OS provisioning since ImageX has been deprecated since Windows 8 but I have not found instructions for how to do it.
This is what I have tried so far, with varying results.
- Use an "Execute file" action to launch dism.exe and specify the appropriate parameters. E.g. /Apply-Image /ImageFile:"\\<servername>\<path_to_Image>\win10x641709base.wim" /Index:1 /ApplyDir:C:\ . This launches a new command prompt window and restores the image using dism.exe, however we do get visual feedback in neither the command prompt window nor the provisioning window until the task has completed. The behavior is the same whether we capture output or not.
- I created a new "Deploy image" action, and chose "Other". I specified the \\<servername>\<path_to_Image>\win10x641709base.wim for the image name. The task currently downloads dism.exe files from the server and runs that, so I set imaging tool path to C:\Misc\Pre-OS_Installation\GetDISM\dism.exe . For command line parameters I specified /Apply-Image /ImageFile:"\\<servername>\<path_to_Image>\win10x641709base.wim" /Index:1 /ApplyDir:C:\ . It restores the image but it neither launches a command prompt window nor provides any output in the provisioning window while it is restoring the image.
So, I have two questions:
- How do you force provisioning template actions to display in real-time output rather than waiting until the action has completed?
- Is there a recommended way to use DISM as the method for restoring an image, and if so, is there a way to make it display in real-time the progress of the restore?
LDAP Settings Configuration Jumpcloud Error

when we try to connect to the Cloud Directory Service "Jumpcloud" from one of our client, we get the error message shown in picture 2. Something about the syntax seems to be off. Does any of you have a suggestions or experience with this?
We already implemented the certificate from the JumpCloud service on the server and openend the SSL port to access the Jumpcloud server.
(The distinguished name contains an invalid syntax)
When trying to leave the Base DN empty with following configurations we get two different error messages: (The LDAP-Server is not available)
Do any of you have advice for me and my colleagues I also thought about the filtering which might be wrongly defined but I am still looking into it.

Disappearing Mapped Drives (Citrix) 10.1 FR3 HF1
Upgraded to 10.1 FR3 - Agents, configs, server upgraded. Drives are randomly not mapping or are disconnecting mid-session. There have been no config changes - we wanted to do agents first (halt and test) then move on to configs.
Provisioned Citrix XenApp environment - The config uses the older unmap drive action first followed by a map drive action. The map drive action (in the 10.1 config) includes the "Override existing drive mapping" checked. I realize this removes the need for the unmap drive action but am curious if the two actions with this checked is causing the problem. The user group condition has Evaluate Once Per Session checked. Lastly, this is hung off of the Pre-Desktop trigger so the drives are mapped as temporary - No other triggers touch drive mappings.
I do have a support case open as well since this is affecting production. I'll be moving everything back to an old VBS logon script that we know works.
Curious if anyone has seen this or has any ideas. AppSense drive mappings worked fine with EM 8.6. Large confidence loss at the moment decorated with a huge black eye.

OS Provision Action Return Code
Hi,
We have a template that we use for profile migration. It works fine, for the most part. However, we are limited to only one value that is acceptable as a test for success/failure. What I would like to happen is take the return value and use a conditional "IF" statement to take action based on the return value. Is this possible? For instance, a return value of 3 is acceptable because it means that some files were skipped for whatever reason. That fact is that there are more acceptable return values but that are not seqeuntial in nature.
Call logged via email
When ticket is logged via email, often user mentions people who are copied in the email, but in the ticket, this information is not visible. Does anyone know what is required to include recipients who are copied in the email to be included in a ticket information?
MS14-053 Patch Not Applicable??
I recently started noticing that on a lot of my 2012 R2 servers, show that Microsoft Patch MS14-053 is missing. I went through a patch cycle thinking this would be taken care of but I look again this month and they are still showing as missing. I download the patch manually to the server and start the install. It fails with the error "The update Is not applicable to your computer"
This is happening on multiple servers
KB that is trying to install or says missing is kb2973114.
I can't seem to find any prereq that is needed either. Anyone ever seen anything like this?
Agent 2016 - Targeted Multicast Client Service Executable - tmcsvc.exe very high CPU on all clients/servers

at the moment I'am investigating a alarming situation on all of our 2016 Clients and Servers.
We have very high CPU usage on all of our systems for the tmcsvc.exe (Multicast Services). The Clients work halfway okay with that load - but on our servers I see real performance issues.
We did not even activated Multicast in our Distribution and Patch Settings - so I have no glue where the high cpu comes from.
Perfmon shows me high read/write Operations accompanied by the high CPU peaks.
I would be happy about any advice what is happening here, and what options I have to stop it.

pre-ticket attachment copy

My colleagues says that it is possible to use a database trigger to copy the attachment in a pre-ticket (Q:XXXX) to a full incident/request.
We have just launched Workspaces to the whole organisation with publicity saying look you can a take a photo on your mobile phone and attach it when you are raising a support call. Only problem is that raising a support call creates a pre-ticket (Q:1234) which then doesn't copy to the full incident (I:123456) or request (R:234567).
In the version of Service Desk we are running 2017.1 I understand that copy rules don't work as we had the same problem in copying the summary from the pre-ticket to the full ticket. As the summary is often less than perfect so for the ServiceDesk (people not product) to create a new one is probably no bad thing but attachments we really want those.
Does anyone have an existing database trigger that they are using? We are using a SQL Server back end.

How do a I pass a Network ID to the ProfileLink field?
I have a field that contains a Network Login ID. When I manually type the Network Login ID into the ProfileLink field, it's able to search for the proper user and I'm able to select it.
I have field that stores the network ID. I'm trying to pass that to the that profilelink field and have it select that user automatically. Is this possible?
Need to add v2018 to the Xtraction versions for support requests.
I've already started to raise support tickets to report bugs and issues in v2018, however it's not an available version to select.

I'm beginning a knowledge base in ConnectUs (Heat cloud ticketing system) and I'm exploring the differences between Reference and Document knowledge article types. Does anyone have a distinction between the two? I am curious how these two would differ from one another.
Also, does anyone have resources for building a knowledge base? Any websites, books, article recommendations would be much appreciated.
