I am confused with the If block within workflows. Typically, the value field contains a function button to enter expressions but the If block only contains a calendar button for the value.  I am assuming you can use values other than calendar dates. I created a field that is previously calculated and set to True/False. The Database shows this value as 0 or 1.  When I use the IF block, it never returns a false output and the workflow continues no matter what value I have.  Can someone please show me what a working If block looks like?

I am wondering if anyone is currently using ISM to manage/track IT Continuous Improvement items/initiatives, and if so, how are you doing that?

 

I would hate to look at another software tool if there are solid options here.

Hello everyone,

 

I've got a question about the function of the Vulscan. Maybe we've got a problem here or not, who knows...

 

 

Our agent is configured that Vulscan runs on our servers every day at 9pm. Random delay up to 1 hour and at least 15 minutes.

And here is my first question: The 9pm time is not shown on the schedule overview, is that an issue (see picture)? In another agent

configuration (for our clients) the time is shown in the overview.

 

I found several Vulscan logs on our servers, but none from 9pm. For example there is a log from about 00:00 of 60kb and another from 05:50pm with 8mb

for 23rd of Mai. The times are different on other servers.

 

When I watch in the inventory and the scheduled tasks there are two Vulscan tasks. (5) started at 05:21am and (9) started at 17:00pm with command line /continue.

 

Can someone explain me if this is an issue or the function of Vulscan?

Good Morning,

 

I am standing up a new 2017.3 SU3 core and will be doing a side by side migration from 9.6 SP2. I want to use the bit defender engine and have followed the getting started community document however I have a few questions.

 

Here's what was done so far:

 

License fixed to include Bit Defender

Downloaded Ivanti Antivirus core installation files

Ran avsetup.exe

Created an Ivanti AV 2017 config

 

With that said, I noticed in the doc that the bit defender agents no longer get definitions from the core with SU3 (i assume they come right from bit defender since you have to whitelist their domain), does this mean I can ignore the Ivanti Antivirus 2017 tab in download updates (the one that specifies how often to get pattern files to the core)?

 

Since the BD engine is done via a component upgrade task, does this mean I can and should uncheck all the AV options like including the AV in the agent config, scanning for AV updates in the patch scan settings, and in the download updates? 

 

How does the engine get updated if so or does it all come from bit defender?

Hallo zusammen.

 

 

Ich würde gern in meinem Win10-InPlace-Migrationsscript dem Anwender eine gewisse Zeitspanne zur Installation geben. Dazu ziehe ich mir das Datum des ersten Installationsversuches per WMI und grüble gerade darüber das sinnvoll weiter zu verwursten. Ich würde gern ab dem ersten Versuch bspw. 14 Tage oder 1 Monat Luft lassen. Da im RollOut verschiedene Gruppen die Updates bekommen, ist ein hart verdrahtetes Datum m. E. nicht sinnvoll. Bei Werten ala 1.03.74 (Dell BIOS-Version) klappen Vergleiche zu 2.01.45 oder 1.12.13 fehlerfrei. Das klappt aber bei einem Datum scheinbar nicht, ich habe mal ein paar durchprobiert (DD.MM.YYYY und MM/DD/YYYY), jedoch ohne Erfolg. Nun habe ich zwei Probleme, wie kann ich auf ein Datum Tage korrekt (Jahreswechsel, Schaltjahre etc) dazu addieren und wie kann ich es vergleichen? Hat jemand eine gute Idee? Alternativ bliebe dann wohl nur auf Powershell auszuweichen.

In Windows 10 hätte ich ja noch den Taschenrechner, welcher auch mit Datumswerten klar kommt. Scheinbar gibt es aber keine Möglichkeit mehr, auf der Kommandozeile damit zu arbeiten.

In RES Workspace Manager we use the variable "% APPV5CONTENTSHARE%"

On the application object we change the location of the “root folder” to "% APPV5CONTENTSHARE%" . After the change we create a Building Block, and the variable is only applied on “APPV5PACKAGEROOT” and not the “APPV5PACKAGEFILE”.

 

Because of this we still have to edit the Building Block before we import it into the next environment.

So the use variable adds no extra value, we still have change the Building block.

 

Any ideas?

Hallo zusammen,

 

Ich habe neuerdings das Problem das sich ein gezogenener Treiber nicht installieren lässt. Er versucht den Treiber nach C:\Users\#####\AppData\Local\Temp\PNP5B4.tmp\ zukopieren und von dort aus führt er die .inf aus. Leider existiert Der Ordner aber nicht. Und Manuell den Ordner erstellen bringt auch nix da er sich ständig ändert. Ich habe das mit mehreren Treibern probiert bei allen das selbe. In der Vergangenheit hat das immer funktioniert. Versteh blos nicht warum das jetzt auftritt. Vielleicht hat jemand ne Idee?

 

Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Win10 Enterprise 1703

Hi

 

When i add a filter that contains russian letters, dashboard does not give results.

But without this filter the dashboard works fine and outputs all results.

The dashboard will also give the results of adding a filter containing the English letters, including those records that contain half-russian and half-english text.

Hi Leute,

 

wir haben hier massive Probleme mit dem Patching von Windows Server 2016 und wollte mal fragen ob hier Jemand das gleiche beobachtet hat und was er vielleicht dagegen getan hat.

 

Ich habe quasi das Problem:

 

CBS Pending reboot after rebooting

 

Windows gibt den Regschlüssel: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Reboot Pending nicht frei. Dieser bleibt nach Neustarts weiterhin bestehen. Teilweise nach dem Patchen, teilweise vor dem Patchen. Startet man das System händisch neu, werden ebenfalls die Updates nicht verarbeitet, sondern das System fährt so wieder hoch.

 

In unserer Wartung werden dadurch die Wartungsfenster teilweise über Stunden überschritten.

 

Hat das Jemand schon beobachtet?

Hallo community,

 

hopefully you will be able to help me out here. I'm about to go nuts over this.

 

I am trying to connect to a freshly installed Personalization Server but constantly running into an error:

 

"Your user role has been updated. Reconnect to the Personalization Server to refresh your active role."

 

Even tried to reinstall everything but to no avail.

 

Anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

hi everyone,

i'm unable do install a software using a provisionning task, in my SCDCLIENTHANDLER.log i get stuck to :

Sdclienthandler.exe checking for sdclient Mutex,

and still repeating this action.

 

for the same package, i can install it using a schedule task.

 

is any body can't tell me what's wrong ?

Is it possible to include directory paths from being excluded from EM?  We have a user who does GIT processes and there are several executable's that are spawned when he does anything with that repo (thus causing high EMUser CPU).  Would adding %localappdata%\Programs\Git\usr\bin to processwhitelist / exceptions (under asmodldr) exclude any process that gets spawned from that directory?

Hallo, wir haben einen lästigen Intel Rapid Storage 15.7.0.1014 Treiber und dieser schmeißt einen link auf dem Desktop wie folgt:

 

Diesen link löschen ist nicht einfach, unter 2016.2.R2 und vorherigen Version ging das, ab 2017 haben wir das Problem, dass DSM das enthalte Sonderzeichen als (R) interpretiert.

 

Ich war schon kreativ im escript und habe ein paar Sachen versucht aber seht selbst:

Dieser Fehler tritt bei einem VMware Gold Image auf bei einer Windows 1709 Enterprise Neuinstallation - alle anderen VMware Clients und auch die physischen Geräte lassen sich sauber installieren.

 

Jemand eine Ahnung oder einen Hinweis was das sein kann? Wir haben die GI Hülle schon mehrfach weggeworfen, E1000 und VMXNET3 ausprobiert, MAC Adresse gewechselt etc. usw.#

can this be done?

 

For example.

On my phone I open our site and it logs me into the full site.  Is there a trigger that can identify that the user is coming in on a mobile platform and load as the Self Service Mobile if they have that role?

 

Right now the only option seems to be if we add the /modules/selfservice/#home to the URL it seems to work.
