We are standing up a new landesk server to replace our current one. The Core server will be in a virtual enviroment running Server 2008 R2 and we are using an Oracle 11g database that is not virtualized. We tested connectivity to database on install and that appears fine. During the install we received an error about OS Virtualization stopped responding and we had to close the program, once closed the install went through the rest of the components and completed install. I want to know if others had this error and if so how was it fixed.
My other problem was on Activation we are unable to send the file to LANDesk. Our server is not connected to the internet and connot communicate with landesk so we have to go the email route. The file appears to be in plain text when with the old server it appears to be encrypted. When the file is emailed to landesk we get a reply that says a valid validation file is not attached. I have tried calling landesk but I have a hard time getting someone to pick up. Any help is appreciated.
