Hello comrades, I was recently asked a question on what is the best strategy for catching up on a server that somehow evaded are patching routines and is quite behind. Can anyone suggest a best practice when you are a few months out of compliance? Specifically I am asking if anyone has experience and success in either starting from the very beginning (as you understand it) or applying the latest patches first and then going backwards. It would seem the hottest vulnerabilities would be mitigated by applying the most recent, but I am fearful of some dependencies with previous patches that could be very problematic.Or does LANDesk have a slick means of dealing with this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
