Change the login name for machines?

Is there a way to change the presented login name for machines?

I have quite a few machines that we keep imaged and inventoried but are not assigned to anyone "right now".

I would like to be able to change the Login name field to something like Stock or Shelf or Office1, something like that.

Then when I redeploy the machine to someone new, the inventory scan can add the name back.

I assume this is something that would have to happen dirrectly to the DB using some sort of SQL script.
