Importing file from another server

Hello,

we are setting up some automated imports for the CMDB whereby the customer will have access to a folder on an FTP server to place the files;

These fioders have been shared and I can create a Mapped Drive on the application server to reference in my data connection.

I can create the connection by referencing the mapped drive in the path - the connection works OK when try 'Test Connection'.

When I try and create the connection type it allows me to select the relevant worksheet, the columns that I need and the Primary Key but when I try and save the connection type I get the following error:

Is this a permissions problem?

Should I be able to reference a file on another server in the first place?
