View provisioning history for media booted devices
Is there a way to view the provisioning history for a device that is not yet an inventory item? Like if I setup a provisinoning scheduled task I can view current status of the process from within the console but if I PXE boot or boot with the iso boot media I can't find where to go to view status?
I am using Windows Deployment Services to host the PXE WIM image and the devices I'm provisioning have never had an agent installed. I'm sure it gets reported somewhere I just have no clue where to look and i've looked at all the folders under "Convfiuration" in the Network View tree but it doesn't show up under any of them.

Send Email from Request process and to a specific email address
I am having issues with the Request process, I can not find an automatic action to send an email using Add Reminder, that option does not show. Even though there is an add reminder window in the request process section in window designer. Also select new automatic action in the process this does not give the option to use "Add Reminder".
The aim is to send an email for every request raised to a hard coded email address, so not the raise user or the Analysts but a specific email address. At the moment i can't seem to find away to send an email to anyone in the Request process. We have not used email alerts with the request process before and it seems it does not work or is not setup the same as the Incident process.
Any ideas appreciated.

Enable Mac Lock Screen
I need to enable the enable the lock screen on Macs after the computer goes to sleep or the screen saver starts.
There is a Definition to enable this setting but it is not working for me. The definition is called "APPLE-PasswordRequired-5s"
Although the definition is in the scan folder it, all 800+ Macs are "not scanned" under the history.
When I try to do a repair it says that "scan complete, nothing to patch".
Does anyone know how to make this work or how if there is another way to accomplish the same thing?

How to calculate incident resolution duration?
Hello all,
for the incident metrics we want to use incident resolution duration. In our point of view it should be calculated as a time duration between when Incident status was set to 'Active' and when status was set to 'Resolved', removing time spent while Status='Waiting for 3rd Party' and Status='Waiting for Customer', regardless of any other exceptions.
Problem is that in the following example, TotatRunningDuration in Resolution Escalation Watch does not reflect the actual time an analyst spent resolving the incident.
1) Set Resolution Escalation Schedule to "Recalculate the escalation clock value from business object's creation time"
2) Configure resolution escalation schedule for priority 1 to target Duration of 2 min.
3) Configure resolution escalation schedule for priority 2 to target Duration of 4 min.
4) Register an incident with priority 1 and status active
5) Wait for 5 min
6) Change priority to 2
7) Check escalation clocks and notice that priority 2 escalation TotatRunningDuration starts at 4 min (from priority 2 breach time) and not from 5 min. (from time of incident creation date).
Does someone has faced the same issue? Is it possible to work around this?

HEAT Attachment Error
Recently we've had a number of users getting errors when trying to attach files to Incidents or Tasks.
The error they get is 'Upload failed with Error:Undefined'.
Sometimes after the error the file does actually upload, other times it does not.
Browser being used is Chrome.
HEAT version 2015.2.1000.13032
Error occurs on multiple types of files.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best practice to Migrate from Personalization to Registry Hiving
We currently use Personalization. I want to migrate over to Hiving. I am looking to do a catch all approach without sacrificing login/off times. I find catchall may be easier when onboarding new apps.
We are a physical W10 shop with Citrix 2k12r2 Xenapp (Shared SRV OS) for remote access.
1) Would Hiving slow anything down?
2) How should I handle the few folders from %appdata% folders. Continue to use Personalization?
Need to pull a list of all installed software across all devices (no duplicates)
So I've been tasked with generating a report for all installed software across all devices on Ivanti. That's about 3,700 devices.
Ideally, what I'm looking for is something like the list of values you would find if you were to create a query using "Software > Add or Remove Programs > Program > Name". When you select that criteria, it shows you a list of all possible values it's scanned from all devices. I believe this is the data I've been asked to retrieve. I found an old community post detailing a way of doing this by creating a specific query, importing that into Report Designer, and everything else is lost due to it being an old forum post for a way outdated version of LANDesk.
QUESTION: How would I go about generating a report that lists ALL installed software, but only lists the software name ONCE, but shows how many devices said software would be installed on?
Right now, I've been playing around in Queries, using the string ""Computer"."Software"."Add or Remove Programs"."Program"."Name" Exists", with a column set of Software Name only, but as some of you might guess, it lists EVERY device with the software, causing a generated query of over 600,000 entries. Not ideal for something I need to submit for presentation.
I know I've been able to do this in the past, quite possibly part of the training I did two years ago, but it's been so long I can't remember.
Please, any help or advice would be helpful.
Request Offerings: User Permissions
So I have added another filtering property to the ServiceReqTemplateEntityAccess object called 'COE'. This was an OOTB object I have used to group job titles into logical groups: Standard User, Line Manager, Senior Manager and Directors.
Initially I had an issue (duplicate key) when adding multiple access items such as:
I believe this was because I had this setup as a 1:1 relationship, I have since changed this to 1:N, similar to how the Organisational Unit relationship is setup.
I now appear to have an issue with the permissions themselves. For example, I have setup a request offering like so:
When logging in as a 'Line Manager' user, I was able to edit the request anyway, regardless of how I setup access (the 2nd item uses another OU so shouldn't affect permissions). I tried to find the form itself for the 'My Items' object but this actually appears to use a 'Custom Form' so I am not even sure if I can check what action, hidden logic etc. the buttons use. Removing 'Submit' Request Permissions does appear to hide the offering completely from the portal.
Does anyone have any experience with custom access properties and able to provide any insight?

Migrate database from 9.6 to 2017.3
Does anyone know if it is possible to migrate/import a database from LANDesk 9.6 SP2 to 2017.3? I've got my new core up and running on its own database, but it has taken me so long to do that, there are a myriad of things out of sync. There are only two choices that I can see: either I go through by hand and make all the changes from one core to the other, or I can have the DBA restore a snapshot of the current database and reinstall LANDesk which will do the upgrade for me. I am really hoping I can avoid the pain of either option.
Delete a gadget
When I try to delete a gadget, logged in as SA the option is grayed out. Along with add new gadget and properties. Has anyone else experienced this yet? I just went to 2017.1
W10 1709 falsche Edition

ich hab seit 1709 das Phänomen das jetzt bei allen Neuinstallationen die W10 Education-Edition installiert wird anstatt wie gewünscht die W10 Professional-Edition.
Ich hab mich dann mal auf die Suche gemacht wo genau die Edition festgelegt wird und bin auf folgenden Value in der unattended.xml gestoßen.

Jetzt zu meiner Frage, haben sich die Werte überhaupt geändert zwischen 1703 und 1709? Für W10 1703 find ich nämlich nirgends welche und falls nicht wo liegt mein Fehler=? Danke

hat es schon jemand von Euch geschafft die Kacheln eines Users zu sichern, ein InPlaceUpgrade durchzuführen und diese im Nachhinein wiederherzustellen?
Ich habe leider noch keinen Weg gefunden. Bin mir aber nicht sicher ob es nicht eher daran liegt, das wir einen Teil der Kacheln als gesperrten Teil mitgeben (Support-Tools die bei allen als Kacheln angeheftet sein sollen)

SMB Depot in einer anderen Domäne, Staging instabil
Hi Zusammen,
wir haben hier ein etwas ungewöhnliches Problem. Ich habe hier ein DSM Mgmt Point mit Depot, welches Teil einer andere Domäne ist, als den Client den ich installieren möchte. Bei der Installation des Client, funktioniert das Staging der Pakete nur sehr schleppend. Pakete brechen während des gestarteten Download Prozesses ab oder fangen erst garnicht an. In der DSM Konsole sieht das so aus:
Man sieht das nicht alle Pakete betroffen sind. Die Pakete sind aber in einem einwandfreien Zustand, installiere ich einen anderen Client in einem anderen Netz funktionieren die selben Pakete einwandnfrei. Auch bricht er nicht immer die gleichen Pakete ab.
Nun hab ich versucht etwas tiefer zu gehen und mir die Staging Logs angeschaut:
Er scheint also irgendwie die Verbindung zu verlieren und teilweise nicht richtig aufbauen zu können. Die üblichen Fallen, wie doppelte IPs etc sind geprüft. DNS Auflösung funktioniert ebenfalls sauber. Der Zugriff auf die Share erfolgt per DNS.
Versuche ich nun manuell die Share an dem Client zu öffnen und benutze die IP Adresse ist der Ordner sofort geöffnet, benutze ich den FQDN dauert es mehrere lange Sekunden bis der Ordner geöffnet wird. Nslookup reagiert aber sofort.
Bei dem DSM Server, als auch bei dem Client handelt es sich um VMs. Diese haben beide eine VMXnet3 Karte und laufen inzwischen schon auf dem selben Host.
Hat da Jemand eine Idee? Ich habe die Vermutung das der langsame Zugriff über den FQDN damit zu tun hat, aber kann die Ursache nicht finden.

wir müssen für unseren Proxy ein Zertifikat in den "Firefox-Cert-Store" importieren.
Hat jemand von euch das schon mal paketiert?
Soweit ich mich jetzt eingelesen habe, muss dies unter jeder User-Kennung erfolgen und ist nicht so einfach (certutil.exe, cert8.db...)
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dies maschinenweit via DSM zu automatisieren? Habt ihr da schon Erfahrungswerte sammeln können?

DSM 2017 will require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2
To give you the earliest possible heads up, DSM 2017 (due by Q4 2017) will require the .NET Framework >= 4.6.2 on every Business Logic Server (BLS) and Management Point (MP).
So please make sure you will have updated your server OSs before installing DSM 2017.

I recently upgraded to 10.1 FR3. We use Physical PC, Citrix Xenapp (W2012R2 Shared Desktop) for Remote Access
I am trying to capture the Setting needed to Roam.
- Chrome (Just enough to keep users signed into Chrome, but not Roam the entire Userdata since it's large.)
- Sticky Notes
- Windows 10 Taskbar.
- Possible to Roam onto W2012R2 (Citrix)?
- GASMO (Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook).
- Want to Roam setting but not local PST. Hoping the If user logs onto new PC, It will create if not exist.
Any help is appreciated.
