Our institution is getting ready to implement either Landesk Workspace or Portal Manager to allow end users to install pre-approved software packages. We are currently on 9.6 and might consider moving to LD2016 in the near future. We are leaning more towards using Portal Manager because the default interface lists the available software package (easiest for users, little navigation, everything is right there). My question is, what is the long term support for Portal Manager? Will it be phased out in favor of Workspace at some point? I don't want to get our users used to Portal Manager, then have to switch to something that looks different to them later. But if it going to be phased out in favor of Workspace then I'd rather get our users accustomed to navigating the application. If Portal Manager is going to stay for the long term then we would rather stick with that.
Thank you for any advice.
I'm building an EPM 2017.3 environment from scratch that we will migrate our LDMS 2016.3 clients to early next year.
The auditing module appears to be missing. Has it been moved or is it gone from this version?
So I've been tasked with generating a report for all installed software across all devices on Ivanti. That's about 3,700 devices.
Ideally, what I'm looking for is something like the list of values you would find if you were to create a query using "Software > Add or Remove Programs > Program > Name". When you select that criteria, it shows you a list of all possible values it's scanned from all devices. I believe this is the data I've been asked to retrieve. I found an old community post detailing a way of doing this by creating a specific query, importing that into Report Designer, and everything else is lost due to it being an old forum post for a way outdated version of LANDesk.
QUESTION: How would I go about generating a report that lists ALL installed software, but only lists the software name ONCE, but shows how many devices said software would be installed on?
Right now, I've been playing around in Queries, using the string ""Computer"."Software"."Add or Remove Programs"."Program"."Name" Exists", with a column set of Software Name only, but as some of you might guess, it lists EVERY device with the software, causing a generated query of over 600,000 entries. Not ideal for something I need to submit for presentation.
I know I've been able to do this in the past, quite possibly part of the training I did two years ago, but it's been so long I can't remember.
Please, any help or advice would be helpful.
When using standard includes and excludes (see below), Mozilla Firefox version 56 crashes when personalized on Windows 10 (1607):
This problem does not occur with Firefox 56 on Windows 7, nor does it occur with Firefox 51 on Windows 10 (1607).
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

In HEAT SM 2016.1.1 Help documentation there is a reference to 'console' where debugging messages for Web Service Scripting can be shown: console.fatal("This is a fatal message!"); How to get this console to show up? Is there a tool that allows to debug the scripts for REST calls for Web Service Connections? Thank you for any input!
Hello Everyone,
We're trying to clean out the Discovered software my moving them to either Monitored or Ignored, and in doing so, I couldn't wrap my head around this. Anyone know why SLM does this? Are these byproducts of an installed application? I did try searching for manufacturer instances of the first product (Amazon Services, LLC), but that was the only one.
I did read the previous post, in which I did move the 0 Install instances to the Ignored folder, but I was just wondering as the why this happens.
Are there any recommendations or guides on hardening the IIS instances on the UWM Management and Personalisation servers?
Specifically, UWM 10.1 on Windows Server 2016.
Just a heads up, I have noticed the inventory scanner is no longer processing .MINI files after upgrading to 2017.3 (including 2017.3_SU1). You will need to rename the .MINI files to .MINISCN for them to be processed. Pretty big oversight I think, and hopefully it gets patched soon.
My endpoint clients are still 2016.3, and I am assuming that 2017.x sends the new extensions. We will eventually begin rolling out the new agents system-wide, we just have a bigger change control process to follow, so it takes time. Until then, 'ren *.MINI *.MINISCN' is invaluable. I'll be reporting it as a bug as well.

I am curious if there are any plans to include a Knowledge Import Tool in the Service Manager (Cloud Based) offering. You guys have have not 1, but 2 Knowledge Import Tools for Service Manager On premise. Sure would be helpful to have an import tool for content.
Hi, I have recently scehduled an activity to over 500 contact records but when I completed the record of one I accidentally completed for all and have added the wrong headline. Hi all
Each division within my customer's company is allocated 300 hours for application enhancements and development per quarter. We need to know how many hours have been utilised to date per quarter and this needs to reflect whenever we create a new Release for a Division. So i have a Division BO that has hours used number field and has a relationship with Release BO (one Division can relate to many Release Records). I also create an editing business rule for Release that shows the hours used for the division when selecting the Division. I just don't know how to take the release Total Time Spent (will convert to hours) and add it to the Division Hours Used, taking the current Quarter into account. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I created a smart group to update the 7.3.2 agent to 7.4 but it's installing a separate instance of the agent vs upgrading the current. has this been seen?
We currently use Personalization. I want to migrate over to Hiving. I am looking to do a catch all approach without sacrificing login/off times. I find catchall may be easier when onboarding new apps.
We are a physical W10 shop with Citrix 2k12r2 Xenapp (Shared SRV OS) for remote access.
1) Would Hiving slow anything down?
2) How should I handle the few folders from %appdata% folders. Continue to use Personalization?
I recently upgraded to 10.1 FR3. We use Physical PC, Citrix Xenapp (W2012R2 Shared Desktop) for Remote Access
I am trying to capture the Setting needed to Roam.
Any help is appreciated.
Hi
Has anyone figured out how to prevent all the items from displaying on the "submit and review" tab of the offering. If we have 60 available items and only 5 have been selected all 60 are displayed. I get that some want everything to be displayed however in our environment it is too messy and we receive many complaints about the layout.
Seem silly that this can be hidden once the request has been submitted using the "[parent.]RecId != "" " expression but not on the submittal page.
I created a Report that shows all Service cataloq items and their direct Access URLs.
This Report should help Servicedesk to send a direct Link to a Customer in Skype Chat or E-Mail.
I wanted to add this Report as a Top Level Tab "URL Workspace" for Servicedesk Role. But this works only as Long as the Report Session does not change.
Any ideas who to solve the Problem?
This is the URL I tried:
Here is the SQL Statement the Report is based on. The Report itself works fine if I open it in Report-Workspace or in Report Designer.

Hi everyone,
We are having issues with some of our users profiles and network logins not being associated with each other. So when they open a ticket, all we see is the user id. We have tried manually to add the network logins to their profile, but we get the following error.
Also, on some of them (it is random) their timezone isn't being populated. Any ideas?
