I have created a Employee Separation Service Request that is entered by HR and creates various tasks to disable accounts etc... This SR also has some notification emails that go to the c-suite to let them know that the employee is leaving. In the Service Request Form I have created a field that HR checks for (In-Voluntary or Voluntary) separation. The HR person that I have been working with wants the email to go to the C-Suite managers, but does not want people that have access to tickets be able to view the Voluntary/In-Voluntary emails. Long story, can you have that field be hidden from others so you can't see it. Or is there another way to handle this Off-Boarding or Employee separation request from HR.
Service Manager - privacy on a field in a Service Request notification
Attach email to incoming email notification
Heat Cloud user. Incident owner and or team gets notified when there is incoming email for their incident. Currently the owner needs to login to HEAT to view the email.
We created a quick action that sends an email to the incident owner with the incoming email attachment but when it runs, it will send every journal entry to the owner, not the latest entry. For example, if there were 6 email journal entries, 6 emails would send. We need a way to only select that last entry. Anyone have ideas how to accomplish this?
10.13.1 Supplemental Update through LANrev 7.3.1 Issue
Good afternoon everyone. I'm relatively new to the LANrev environment and we were recently trying to push out the 10.13.1 supplemental update to a few machines. I setup the software package similar to our other OS updates and let 'er fly. There were a total of 2 succesful installations but the remaining machines all erroring out with the following:
"Cannot install on volume / because it is disabled"
Has any one had success in getting past this error? I would think it would be the package itself if not for those 2 successful installs
Just a few notes on how I pushed the .pkg file:
- Smart group setup to show all 10.13.1 machines not on build 17B1002
- Push install of the update to that group
I've also attached a screenshot of my Install Options tab.
Any insight would be great for this noob
Organizing Tasks - ParentObjectID storing a short name, code, sort order
We are trying to group and rank our tasks in Dashboards and also use common notification templates where possible.
I have created a new object called BOAtributes.
For Task, using the ParentObjectDisplayID, I would like to populate several of these fields in the Task object.
EXAMPLES
- For one type of Knowledge article the ParentObjectDisplayID = "FRS_Knowledge.IssueResolution". This is pretty bad in an email notification. "Knowledge" is enough.
- We are considering appending codes to user email and displays using the first Parent Code above. The letter would help identify the object calls as the system numbering is similar between all modules.
- I-12345 is Incident.
- S-12345 is Service Request
- C-12345 is Change
- Tasks would be sorted in Priority using the Rank code of the parent.
I started to use a Link field and Business Rules but did not get the results I wanted. ParentObjectDisplayID is the field on Task that I think I want to be a link field but it is not.
Given that the ParentObjectDisplayID is set by the system when the child object is created should this work?
Do I need to create a new link field that is populated using a trigger rule when ParentObjectDisplayID is updated?
Should these additional attributes actually be an object extension to something? We desire a single table to manage these attributes instead of adding fields to every object.

failed to install deployment agent bootstrap service error - Error code 1651
I seem to have one stubborn machine that will not install the ivanti agents. we are on 10.1 FR2 HF1. (client is windows 10 Anniversary Edition) I've already had this machine reimaged twice. Each time, it will install the Environment manager agent as part of our imaging process, but refocus to install the deployment agent.

Setting alerts for software changes
I wish to create an email alert for any changes in Add/Remove Programs--whether a program is installed or removed. I read a previous thread on this topic (Recieve alerts when new programs are installed? ) and also consulted the materials on this topic (Monitoring and Alerting ). I have done the following so far:
- Modified the Inventory Change Settings to log events and create an alert regarding the name of any program added or removed under Add or Remove Programs
- Created a ruleset specifying any alerts for Add or Remove Programs be emailed to me
- Deployed the new ruleset to my computer
However, I tested a few times by installing programs that do create entries under Add or Remove Programs, but no alert arrived. Nothing is listed in the Alert log of LDMS. There is no sendmail log file in the root of the LDMS installation directory. I am at a loss as to what I am missing. The training video (DOC-5674) did not shed any light on the problem.
We are using LDMS 9.50. My computer is running Windows 10 x64 Version 1703.
2017.3 upgrade questions
Hi All,
In previous LDMS upgrades there's always been an equivalent agent upgrade that accompanied the new version of the core server; we just went from 2016 SU5 to 2017.3 and I'm not seeing one. Am I missing it someplace?
Also, does anyone have a clear understanding of the whole Workspaces thing? I've tried to follow the directions and I don't get anything similar to what the documentation says I should. We're running LDMS only, no service center. I log into Configuration Center and nothing happens, I'm never prompted to create a new DB. I have what I'm guessing is the default instance 'my' and under that I only have the BridgeIT application, no Framework application at all. All the Workspace links in the new Remote Console come up, but I can't log into any of them (I can log into Configuration Center after changing its IIS authentication types per the doc). Any idea? I'm not even sure the whole thing is valuable or useful at this point.

it will received by Technician and start working on that report ( here hide the attachment for other users)
after he send it to get approve by his manager ( Department Manager)

We are running 2016.3 in our production Service Desk environment. We ran into an issue today whereby an analyst was trying to close a change ticket but it still had an outstanding task. I was able to recreate what he did in my test environment but it's got me stumped on how to fix it.
Ultimately, the change ticket was in 'User Acceptance Testing' status, he opened the remaining task that was assigned to someone else. He then clicked on the re-assign action and attempted to re-assign the task to himself. Before saving the re-assignment he clicked on Complete, which then brought up the error.
When I recreated in the test environment, all I got in the logs was the following:
My suspicion is that it has to do with the calculation on the 'Currently Assigned?' precondition on the Change Task process object but I am completely unable to edit this calculation. Any tips or perhaps a workaround to go edit the change ticket's database entry to be able to open this ticket again?
html code showing up in note summary
I have a calculation that will display a summary of all of the notes in a ticket. However, that summary displays with all of the associated HTML code when I pull a report. In the ticket itself it is readable, but not when I try to pull it into a report. How can I format this to be readable in a report?

Calculation to copy multiple action details into a single field
Hi guys,
frustrated with the lack of visibility of notes I recently created a new field on our incident update window and set a calculation up to copy notes into this field (thanks in the main to some helpful code i found on these forums). This works really well, so well in fact that people are now asking for other activities to be added intot his new field as well.
This is proving very problematic - is anyone able to shed any light as to how to add multiple activities to one window via a calculation? I'd like to eventually add multiple action details to the field but assignment details may be the easiest for people to advise on as im assuming its none bespoke and common across all instances of Ivanti.

I have created a new Dashboard, everything looks fine, but something is wrong on the counting.
The part for Incidents are using a search for priority 1 and 2 incidents.
In October I got totally 52 priority 1 and 2 incidents. I have made a drill down on priority 1 and 2, and I can see that there is 32 priority 1 incidents and 16 priority 2 incidents. 32 + 16 is 48 not 52 which should be the total. If I then drill down the priority 1 cases in a table, I can see that I totally got 36 cases. Here is the missing 4 cases.
I can see that I have also some counting errors in July. Both July and October consist of 31 days.
If I go into October I can see that 4 incidents is created on the 10/31/2017, here is the 4 missing incidents.
If I go into July I can see that 3 incidents is created on the 7/31/2017, the 3 missing incidents for July.
The conclusion is: Group By: CreatedDateTime month, count 30 days and not by the actual month.
History in Workspaces
Hi Folks,
Our management want us to start using Workspaces for end users.
We've managed to configure it to be usable, but the whole thing may be scuppered by the History panel.
For some insane reason, there seems to be no way to prevent End users from seeing the entire history.
This includes notes that have configured to be internal, inter-departmental assignments, automated actions - the works.
I may be missing something simple (the documentation for Workspaces is very sparse) but we urgently need some way to prevent users from having access to all of our internal conversations.
Scripts, hacks, whatever.
I know we can theoretically redesign all of our processes and windows with automated actions to hide fields etc., but this is a LOT of work.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Migrate database from 9.6 to 2017.3
Does anyone know if it is possible to migrate/import a database from LANDesk 9.6 SP2 to 2017.3? I've got my new core up and running on its own database, but it has taken me so long to do that, there are a myriad of things out of sync. There are only two choices that I can see: either I go through by hand and make all the changes from one core to the other, or I can have the DBA restore a snapshot of the current database and reinstall LANDesk which will do the upgrade for me. I am really hoping I can avoid the pain of either option.
Knowledge Article - Versioning?
Has anyone come up with a way to use the KnowledgeNumber and KnowledgeVersion fields to keep revisions of articles?
At first I considered using an extra field to store the v1 KnowledgeNumber but that would require editing all sorts of layout forms and who knows what else.
Now, since I see KnowledgeNumber is not a unique field I was considering using this field but making sure our Quick Action marked the prior version Archived. I am wondering how searches and automated urls might work. If they honor the viewing restrictions I think we will be okay.
Does anyone have insight into how these fields were meant to work? I'll post my findings.
