Button for Attachments and Notes Missing Randomly

We recently migrated to the cloud version of Ivanti Service Manager 2017.2.1.26741.

 

When creating Service Requests, the button to create a new journal or attachment does not always appear after the ticket has been saved.

 

We can usually get it back by CTRL+F5, or opening an incognito window. Is anyone else experiencing this? It happens on Firefox and Chrome.

 

 


Still confused about user privileges modified

I am still confused about USER PRIVILEGES MODIFIED. For Autocad there are a few files that show up in RA logs. However, nothing is being denied.

 

Attached are screen shots of one file in which I drilled down to get detail and the list of files.

Task has been completed email to include Team Email if Priority is 1

We have some logic being used on our task emails.  Depending on the priority and service it will send to different groups.  For example.

 

$(if Priority == "1"  then "itmgrs@ourcompany.com; ithelp@ourcompany.com"  else "")

 

And

 

$(if Priority == "1" && Service == "Applications"  then "appsup@ourcompany.com; karl@ourcompany.com"

  else "")

 

We want to add one more so the Team Email be included if it is a P1.  I tried this syntax but it does not work.

 

$(if Priority == "1"  then "$(TeamEmail)"  else "")

 

Any suggestions?

Query Design for Attribute in a Collection

Hello -

 

I'm trying to pull information from a collection into a query and I'm not getting the results I need.  We have a status called "With Third Party" for our incidents.  I need a query that shows me which 3rd party we're waiting on.  When i try to pull the attribute into the query it won't allow it.  It puts it at the bottom of the screen and I can't get those results to display.  How can I get this to be a filed I can report on?

 

We're on Service Desk 2016.0

Hallo zusammen,

 

früher war es so, das ein neues Paket, was noch nicht im lokalen Cache lag, beim antriggern geladen wurde und sobald es lokal lag installiert wurde und das komplett während des ersten antriggern.

Jetzt ist es bei mir so, das beim ersten antriggern der Download angestoßen wird, aber das Paket nicht installiert wird und in der Console als noch nicht installiert angezeigt wird und die Mitteilung dahinter steht, dass der Download unterbrochen wurde.

Wird die installation dann das nächstemal angetriggert funktioniert die Installation.

 

Da ich das früher nicht hatte wundert es mich schon etwas.

How does inventory gather LDAP information?

We have a 2016.3 deployment on a dark core network.  I have been deploying some software packages using Active Directory groups, and it's been successful so far.  I'm setting up another software package to do the same thing.  The query that polls the security group, and also looks to see if that software has already been installed, found only one system that is in the group, but doesn't have the software.  When I checked, I realized that that system shouldn't be in that security group.  So I removed it from that AD security group.  I then had it run scans for hardware, hardware and software, and full sync.  It still didn't update the fact that it's no longer a member of that security group.  So I left it for a couple of days, hoping that some other process would update the status.  But the query is still showing that system is in that AD security group.

 

How do I troubleshoot this?  I tried to figure out what process is polling LDAP for new status, but couldn't figure it out.  It doesn't appear we have the LDAP Enumeration registry key set, but the inventory for each system includes LDAP Groups/Machine, and it appears to be accurate most of the time.  I'm not seeing any errors (that I know of) with the scans on this system, but it still has the outdated LDAP Group membership.  Where do I start in troubleshooting this?

High Sierra & FileVault

I am having a problem with Mac OS High Sierra reporting back that it is encrypted. I sent the job out and it communicates with the computer and does the encryption process. When I go into the console and look at the computer it is reporting that the drive encryption is off. I have updated the agent on the computer after the core upgrade. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place. I need this information to prove that the computer is encrypted for auditing purposes. My Sierra machines are working as they should. I thought that with the core upgrade it would work with High Sierra. Any insight would be appreciated.

ChildFold with a Max and Min aggregate function

Hello Community, I am trying to build out a process that will loop through child records to find the max value of a date field and return it to be used on the parent.

Then again for the Min date on the child objects and return it to be used on the parent. I notice in the documentation (and when trying to use that aggregate when building out the expression) It states Min and max are not supported yet.

 

Any ideas on how I can accomplish this function?

Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2.0.1 Issues

Hi All,

 

At this moment we are using RES 10.1 in our Citrix Xendesktop environment but we wat to upgrade to 10.2 to prepare for a Citrix 7.15 upgrade.

 

We installed RES ONE workspace 10.1 with the following command line:

Msiexec /i "RES ONE Workspace 10.1.400.0.msi" RSENVGUID={xxx} RSPASSWORD=xxx RSPWHASHED=yes RSLIST=server1.domain.nl;server2.domain.nl ADDTOWORKSPACE="Virtual Desktops" /qn

 

Now we want to install the 10.2 msi with the same command line but that didn't work. Ivanti Support told me that the parameter 'RSPWHASHED' is changed to 'RSPWENC'. Also the Relay servers have to be upgraded to 10.2 for this command line to work.

 

Unfortunately, still no go. We can only connect directly to the data base.

 

Also we see that a 10.2 relay server cannot be paused from the management console, not even a 10.2 management console.

 

Am I doing something wrong or is 10.2 not yet as production ready as we want?

F1 key is not working on Zebra MC32N0

Hi, We are using MC9190 with WL telnet 7.3.146 and all function keys are working fine. Now we are migrating to MC32N0.

 

We exported the config file (.wltna) and imported it into the WL configurator 7.3.303 to keep the same configuration parameters.

 

But now, we figured out that the F1 key is not behaving as in the MC9190. The function expected is to go back to the previous screen/menu, but it is not happening with MC32N0. It looks like the F1 key is not working at all.

 

We tested the key at Program Diagnostics screen and the key code is the same on both PDAs (3B00). Even the regular key is displaying the right key code (letter a = 0061).

 

does anybody know what is causing it?

Software-Policies werden nicht "grün" trotz erfolgreicher Installation

ich habe seit gestern das Problem, dass die SW-Policies nach einer Neuinstallation nicht mehr "grün" werden, obwohl sie erfolgreich ausgeführt wurden.

 

Ist dieser Bug jemanden bekannt?

Hi,

 

I have an application for which i backup a reg tree with user preferences.

 

When reloading the UPR at startup, one value is wrong:

 

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0\Settings\PagesView]

"d.DefaultZoom"=hex(b):10,c0,00,00,00,00,00,00

 

should be

 

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0\Settings\PagesView]

"d.DefaultZoom"=hex(b):00,00,00,00,00,00,10,c0

 

 

In Workspace Analysis, i can see what is stored in the UPR file. Value is correct. If i export to .reg file, it is wrong.

 

It seems to be a bug.

Workspace Concurrent Usage Report

RES One Workspace shows the current logged in user count at the User Sessions screen.

 

We would like to know this value over a longer period of time to calculate the sizing of a new workspace enviroment.

 

Does Workspace Manager save this value in the database and is there a way to extract this number out of the database?

What updates have been released recently

I am hopnig to find a resource to list software updates for various products that have been released by Patchlink.  I have the recent changes in the SCCM console but want to know what changes are being released without just trusting that SCCM download process is working normally.  Are there are RSS feeds, email lists, or other information available from Ivanti that lists released updates?

 

In the past month we have seen far less updates come into the system that we normally see in a month,

 

Recent imports of updates:

49 on 1-10-2018

5 on 12-23-2017

10 on 12-18-2017

15 on 12-13-2017

50 on 12-12-2017

12 on 12-7-2017

17 on 12-2-2017

8 on 12-1-2017

Standard Change - HEAT Question

Hi all,

 

I'm looking at improving the Standard changes we currently use in HEAT and have a couple of questions.

 

I'm also interested in how other companies record their standard changes for inspiration.

 

We currently use the "templates" function which allows for one further drop down menu for all standard changes. E.g. "Templates" -> "Standard Changes" -> "List of all Standard Changes"

 

Ideally we'd like to add a further menu so we can filter by application e.g. "Templates" -> "Standard Changes" -> "Application 1" -> "Standard Change for Application 1"

 

Does anyone know if this is possible at all?

 

Also, we are trying to relate services affected (I.e. the application) to the change record, we can search for it in the edit of the template, however when creating it does not link. This may be because the Services aren't a drop down menu however we are not sure.

 

Any help and assistance would be greatly beneficial, as well as advice on how others do STD CHG

I've got patches piling up.

 

the repairs are failing due to "Status marked as detected because pre-req check failed."

not sure how to go about troubleshooting this. its started with the new patching process this year.

I do have the MS registry key set on the computer I am using to try and get patched first.

example:

In Distribution Packages the Reset Package Hash has a red X, is reseting Package hashes not used in 2016.3
