emails moved to deleted

Hello, I am a system admin/technican for a client that uses Goldmine Premium Edition 2016 client to manage their Office365 email accounts.

 

One user is experiencing messages being moved to the Deleted folder. I am suspecting the Goldmine client, as his other email clients are mobile based (iPad & iPhone). The mobile devices are set to read only, and should not be able to delete messages from the server.  I confirmed this in Office365 EAC for his mailbox.  There are no mail rules or forwarding set up in O365 for his mailbox. I also logged into his OWA account to confirm no mail rules.

 

My apologies, I am not familiar, nor are my colleagues, with Goldmine. They way the user describes it, Goldmine is set to move messages to folders based on how the contact is categorized. As I understand it, if Jim from XYZ Co. emails, the Goldmine client would see that Jim is from XYZ Co. and move the message to a folder associated with XYZ Co.

 

Would any of you fine folks be able to point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this issue?  Thank you in advance!


Database corruption on SLA escalation

We're running Service Desk 2016.  At some point in the last few months the configuration for one of our Response Levels stopped working.  Tickets assigned to this Response Level do not have a breach counter.  They used to.  A few months ago I restored the live database to our test system and the test system still works.  This indicates to me that my live database has a corruption that caused the issue.

 

If I build a new Response Level and Escalation Point it will work.  However, I can not delete the broken one becuase we have records that have used it before.  This results in confusion because we now have two Response Levels set to high. 

 

The question is... Can I fix my database to restore the original Repsonse Level?

If I can't do that, how do I delete or hide the old one so I can put a new one in place?

Hello,

 

little question, we've configured in patch manager the patch source site as "Europe", but since some days, no new patch definitions arrived. Download started by automatic task and manually, no error messages, all looks ok.

 

On one of our other cores, outside of Europe, we have set "US West Coast" and this core downloads a lot of new definitions the whole week...

 

I've changed the source site on our european cores to "US West Coast" too now and got a lot of new definitions.

 

Does ivanti has a sync problems between the source sites in the moment?

MBBScanner has stopped working

Hello,

 

after upgrading agents to 2017.3, when running inventory scan, many computers experience error  MBBScanner has stopped working.

 

Event viewer shows the following:

 

It has not happened on my test machines. So far I have disabled the Scheduled scan, but this is not a solution.

 

Thank you for any input or suggestion how to resolve this.

What order do Business Rules and Quick Actions fire on the same object.

Ensuring that vulscan.exe only runs within a specified window

We've been getting reports of vulscan.exe running outside of our intended/schedule times, and today I learned about Local Scheduler time creep (Local Scheduler and being aware of time creep ).

 

This is definitely what we're seeing in our environment.  Our scans are configured via schedule in the agent's Distribution and Patch settings.  The schedule is set for 12:00am, with an additional random delay of an hour.  No other filters are applied.

Over time, the drift has caused set our start times to move all over the map, and on some devices the scan presents a noticeable slowdown for our staff.  I have been exploring the community to find some examples of good practice that others may be using to address this issue.  I've worked through the command line options for "localsch.exe", and while it seems fairly trivial to run a script periodically to reset the start time, I'm hopeful that a better solution exists.

 

Ultimately, I would like to have the scan begin at a specific time (12:00am is just an example), and only run at that time.  I understand that forcing a scan into a window may cause some devices to not be scanned within this scheduled scan (due to device being off, etc...), but I have other mechanisms for dealing with that.

 

How are you accomplishing this in your environment?

Any options beyond the Organizational Unit (If that even works?)

 

Also, If I have multiple Inventory Settings records is it possible to disable one?  I did not see any kind of Status field.


Disable Personalization and only deploy policy?

Does anyone know if it is possible to deploy policy with Environment Manager but turn Personalization off? We have kiosks where where we want to manage them via EM Policy but do not want to capture any kind of personalizations on them. Any feedback is appreciated.

Assistance with request workflow development

We have a request that needs to go to analysts in "Team A" for verification and validation. Like a normal request someone on that team will claim the ticket and work on it and possibly add some notes.  Once they have completed their work they need a way to determine whether o move the request to the next step or to just close the ticket.

If the move to the next step, it needs to move to analysts in "Team B" who will do other things and take the ticket to completion.

 

We are new to building request offerings and haven't encountered this use case before.  How would you build this in the system's "Plan Request Fulfillment"?

All of our requests so far are a start block going to an update block to assign to the appropriate team, then a stop block.

We haven't experimented with the Workflow and Task blocks but assume those will be used somehow here.

Windows Edge Issues with ISM Cloud ServiceReq

Has anyone experienced any issues with ServiceReq not playing nice in the Edge browser for Cloud tenants?

I have a user that is putting in a request through ServiceReq as SDA (not Service Catalog) and most of the time the ticket never saves, but just disappears. He clicks save, browser refreshes and when trying to search by the ticket number, it is not found.  He did get a site unresponsive error at one point in v2017.3.  This is the only issue reported to me thus far about Edge so I wanted to check.  Based on the documentation I've searched, it looks like Edge is supported.

Display custom message once during software bundle

It is possible to display a custom message once during the initial install on a  bundle distribution, reboot then start the second software install with no message coming up?    

 

The problem I'm having is the custom message comes up a 2nd time upon the reboot to install the second software installation of the bundle, but truncated with not showing the full message with the snooze, delay buttons unless you drag the cornor of the message to make it full screen                  I have look at every setting, but there does not seem to be an option to only display the custom message on the first part software install of the bundle if there is a reboot between software installs.

Blank page in reports

I am generating custom reports within HEAT using .rdl  When I preview my forms, they look correctly, however when I email the same reports in a PDF format, it adds a blank page to the report.  Has anyone else encountered this and if so how can I remove this blank page?

My system is detecting this missing: 890830_INTv6.78 (which is calling for Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - December 12, 2017 (KB890830) v5.55)

It is not available for download because (I assume) the new version is out 5.56

 

1. Why if the new version is out, is the old one still detected?

2. If the 5.55 can not be downloaded (I look for it) why the 5.56 is not and how to add it?

Automatic Incident and Service Request Assignment based on Team work Load balance in HEAT SM

Need to develop a way for  Service Requests and Incidents to be assigned to Owners automatically based on the TEAM work load.

In other words, lets say there is a group of SDAs in a TEAM, and someone submits an Incident or SR via Self Service, is there a way that the Incident or SR be

Automatically assigned to the SDA with the least Work Load?

Anyone knows if a solutions for this exists for HEAT SM?


Copying (ctrl+c) HTML Image from Outlook Pasting (ctrl+v) into WebAccess HTML field

Has anyone experienced an issue whereby copying HTML from the body of an Outlook email (including graphics) results in errors or Graphics being omitted.

 

The result of a copy and paste:

(place holder existed in the HTML field where the graphics should be (inWebDesk).

Can we remove LANDesk users automatically once user gets removed from AD?

Hi all,

 

 

Can you please help us on below?

 

 

Can we remove LANDesk users automatically once user gets removed from AD? Right now we have set up to import user data once user gets added in AD. LANDesk AD import services fetch all metadata of new user from AD and it configures in LANDesk. And once user left the organisation, we manually delete (soft delete) that user from LANDesk using console.

 

 

So now we have requirement that once user leave the organisation and it gets removed from AD then it should get auto deleted/removed (hard delete) from LANDesk as well.

Is it possible? If yes, what will be the dis advantages of this?

Is there any possibility of historic data loss or unable to search historic data which is linked to that user? If yes, then is there any alternate way to remove user from LANDesk if it gets removed from AD?

 

 

Kindly advise.

Template is not being picked up - runs through the 40 tries

I'm pretty frustrated with an issue in provisioning.

 

The issue appears with new computers that never have been in the Landesk database or with computers that were deleted because they didn't report in for a longer time.

 

I can choose my templates ( they are all public, so no user authentication), but it just runs through the 40 tries and then I end up where I started. I have to run through this process a couple of times until finally the template gets picked up and executed. This is not the case for machines that already exist in the Landesk database.

 

I'm in contact with Landesk support since 6 weeks, I checked about any cause and went through all troubleshoot steps that I could find here on the community, to no avail.

 

Now I had an idea how to get around this issue.

 

What if I would call a powershell script before launching the template, that checks if the MAC address already exists, and if not it adds an entry via MBSDK ?

 

Is anybody experiencing the same issue, or maybe somebody can help me to get further with my idea ? I don't know how to check if a MAC address exists, couldn't find a function that does this.

Forward to Workspaces or Self Service Portal URL depending on your current interface

We have a Self Service Portal Dashboard for New User Requests with a URL gadget that shows an image with some text.  The image has a direct link to the New User Request window in Self Service Portal.

 

We're trying to use Workspaces as well as the Self Service Portal on the same dashboard but when clicking on the image when in Workspaces it takes the user to a Self Service Portal page. 

 

I understand this can be broken up so that there's a separate gadget on the dashboard for the link, but doesn't look as good in the SSP or Workspaces.  Is there anyway to forward to a Workspace URL if originally coming from Workspaces in a similar way that you can leave out wd or ss from a URL to stay in webdesk or Self Service?

Schedule deployment upon shutdown
