How to archiving some of service desk ticket?

Hi,

 

Our customer using Service Desk 2017.1 and  currently struggling with their schedule job action, on this case their auto close schedule doesn't work as it should be. it keeps showing an error: time out expired. After further investigation with support team, they suggested us to archiving all the tickets due to its database size and actually it works, the schedule are working to automatically close the new ticket. But we cannot archiving it all. All we need is only archiving some of the tickets then will check whether the schedule is running or not.

 

Does anybody here ever tried to modify the script form this document to archiving not all the ticket but only some of it?

Or does anybody ever experienced the same problem as our customer and have another solution?

window calculation not working in workspace but works fine in Webdesk

I have the the following calculation, which works fine in Webdesk but in workspace the 3 attributes  NSR_%  are not hidden when i open the window.

 

Any idea, what i can check to fix it?

Standard Change

Hi all,

 

I'm looking at improving the Standard changes we currently use in HEAT and have a couple of questions.

 

I'm also interested in how other companies record their standard changes for inspiration.

 

We currently use the "templates" function which allows for one further drop down menu for all standard changes. E.g. "Templates" -> "Standard Changes" -> "List of all Standard Changes"

 

Ideally we'd like to add a further menu so we can filter by application e.g. "Templates" -> "Standard Changes" -> "Application 1" -> "Standard Change for Application 1"

Does anyone know if this is possible at all?

 

Also, we are trying to relate services affected (I.e. the application) to the change record, we can search for it in the edit of the template, however when creating it does not link. This may be because the Services aren't a drop down menu however we are not sure.

 

Any help and assistance would be greatly beneficial, as well as advice on how others do STD CHG

2016.3 SU7 Updating Definitions Signature Is Not Valid

After updating our core to 2016.3 SU7 (I know it's a BETA, but I was hoping fix 382509 would work for us) our Definition updates for Patch and Compliance are failing with following errors:

 

Signature is not valid

Failed to download platform information

 

Checking the vaminer.details.log I see several errors:

I have worked with support and re-imported the Digicert GloballRoot CA certificate as a Trusted Root CA, and have tried various settings related to our proxy and firewall with no success. It appears to be related to the 'Verify digital signatures/hashes before downloading setting' which has been enabled in SU7 seemingly without warning (I know it is enabled in 2017.1 and above), but the definition downloads were working in 2016.3 SU6.

 

How can I get this working again?

Hallo

hat jemand eine Idee warum das passiert.

Wir haben immer mal wieder 1 oder 2 Rechner die mit diesem Fehler (Der Netzwerkpfad wurde nicht gefunden. (0x00000035)) die Installation abbrechen.

Es passiert an unterschiedlichen PC Modellen, Unterschiedlichen Netzwerk Karten z.B. "Intel(R) I210 Gigabit Network Connection" oder "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219-LM".

nach einem Reboot geht wieder alles ohne Fehler.

es gab mal eine Post hier im Forum aber da ist nix draus geworden. Der Netzwerkpfad wurde nicht gefunden

Wo könnte man da zum suchen anfangen?

Scheduled reports show incorrect time

We have several scheduled reports setup to email different queries. It has been discovered that the wrong time is listed in the attached reports that are generated. Instead of showing the time as US Eastern Standard time, it shows as UTC time (+ 5 hours). The time is correct when testing the queries in  query designer.

 

I have verified .net globalization settings are all set to En-US, and regional timezone settings are correct on our servers. Anyone know how to correct?

 

We are running Ivanti ServiceDesk ver 2017.1. Thanks in advance.

Eliminate communication with Core

So we are looking to eliminate traffic going and coming from our Landesk core server as much as possible. We currently have 6 remote sites and each site has their own preferred server. Can someone help me understand how we can eliminate traffic going/coming from our Core server to our end users.

 

Any help would greatly be appreciated.


How to turn HTML off for ticket reminders when viewed in Service Desk?

Hello,

 

I am trying to figure out to to turn HTML off when viewing ticket updates in the Service Desk portal. I am running version 10.2.0.126 release 2016.2. When opening a ticket and clicking on a reminder  the HTML code is visible. This is creating some confusion for my end users. Thanks

What entails 10 servers and 40 workstations licenses for Shavlik.

My company purchased 10 servers and 40 workstations licenses for Shavlik (Patch Management Software), but we are not sure what those licenses entail.

 

We installed Shavlik on a virtual server with one server license.  Our Shavlik scans about 10 Virtual servers and 7 workstations.  Is this mean we only utilized one server license and 7 workstations licenses?  Please advise.  Thank you.

Create request form for multiple users

Hi There, I am trying to create a Request Form that would service multiple users, for example, I am submitting a form for 50 users to get access to something, instead of having to create the same field 50 times, I want to have a collection for example, that would allow you to add to it multiple times,

Replies to email from Service Manager are generating a new incident

We have Ivanti set up to create incidents submitted via email to our helpdesk email account, and this works correctly. Currently though, replies to messages sent from Ivanti generate a new incident instead of just updating the existing incident. How do we keep replies from generating a new incident? We just want replies to update the existing incident. Thanks!

Changing FQDN for the Policy Update

I'm having some problems forcing repair of windows patches.  I was looking through the logs when I saw this steady stream of the following errors on my schedpkgupdate.exe file.  I need to change the domain name companyA.org to companyB.com.  The server has already been joined to the new domain for some time.  Does anyone know where to edit the name that it's trying to use to find that file?

Import Contact to Goldmine from Excel Spreasheet

Hello,

 

I am very knew on Goldmine and tried to import contacts from an Excel Spreasheet to the CRM but wasn't successful.

 

I had a look at the GMPE User Guide and followed the steps with the help of someone in our IT Department.

 

First, on the Excel Spreadsheet, on GM Plus, we get an pop up window saying that "the range has at least one field that has an invalid character in its name" but we can't see it...

Then, if we choose to ignore it and do the mapping, at the end, it simply says that Goldmine Plus for Microsoft Excel could not read the Excel data for Import"

 

Has anyone had that issue before?

Skip Quick Action in Workflow

Can someone confirm if possible.

 

I have a Quick Action in a workflow that invokes a web service call; all works fine.

 

I can't see any way to bypass this Quick Action based on a Global constant (ie WebServiceIntegrationEnabled" true/false value) as "IF" etc all target an attribute rather than allow an expression as I need to check the Global Constant value.

 

Am I missing anything and is it possible?

Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2 - Citrix XenApp 6.5 : Application can't be started

Hi,

 

since upgrade in Ivanti Workspace Control 10.2, when we publish Citrix application through Ivanti Console, we cannot launch them in any way !

 

A simple Calculator publication with basic parameters show an error message trough StoreFront : "Application Can't be started".

Parameters for this publication are attached in this message.

 

If we try to launch them directly through Ivanti Concole ("Run Application Now" button) we have a nice message > ... Application can't be started.

 

But if we unselect "Enable Instant Passthrough..." we can launch Calculator in this mode but same error message through StoreFront.

 

Details about our Citrix farm ; Citrix XenApp 6.5 R07 / Win2008 R2 with three Delivery Controller. All our server are in Ivanti 10.2.0.1 version...

 

This is urgent, we already began our migration to this new version ...

Prüfen ob Laufwerk verbunden ist

Hiho,

 

ich würde gerne ein Skript machen welches mir überprüft ob das Laufwerk "H:\" ODER das Laufwerk "O:\" verbunden ist. Eine der beiden Bedinungen muss also erfüllt sein.

Falls EINES der beiden Laufwerke verbunden ist soll das Skript nicht ausgeführt werden, falls jedoch KEINES der Laufwerke verbunden ist soll er es ausführen.

 

Mit einem Laufwerk war das jetzt ganz einfach über: If not IsConnected('H:') aber wie kann ich das mit den 2 Laufwerken lösen? Ich bräuchte Quasi ein OR.. IF H:\ OR O:\ exist, DO Nothing. Else Run Skript...
