CBA not loaded - linked to Database?

So if anyone else is having this issue or seeing it I have found something that i wanted to see if i can get a correlation to.

 

We have random agents that have CBA not loaded - this is causing issues with our depolyments / patching

 

I have a full clean uninstall powershell script which REALLY cleans the machine and reinstalls the agent - this was not helping

 

So i tried the removal script again but before removing and reinstalling the agent i deleted it from the Database first. This worked.

 

I then decided to just try deleting the machine from the Database  - next time i found a machine with the issue. And NOT touching the agent install in anyway.

 

I then ran a full sync scan manually from the client from the cmd line.

 

To my surprise when the machine came back into the DB the CBA was fine?

 

So it appears to be linked with the DB - my question is what in the DB is linked to the agent reporting CBA not loaded? the IP was all the same so it was not that.

 

This is great as we dont have to remove anything but i am curious to why this is and maybe there is a way or just removing a DB entry rather then the entire Device to fix the CBA -

 

This of course is in our environment it may be different for others.

Change customer on an Incident from Internal Services to another user based on sender's email address

I have a lot of servers that send email alerts to the email listener which in turn creates incidents.  Each server email address starts with the same three characters.  The email options are set so that when a ticket is created from an email and there isn't an employee record, it links it to the Internal Services user.

 

How can I change the customer on the incident from Internal Services to another specified employee for the tickets that are created from an email that starts with those same characters?

detected users in DSM, can I pull display name from AD

The logged on users on workstations, that DSM detects, is there a way to pull certain attributes from AD?  I would like to pull the Display Name, and possibly other attributes. (department, email address, etc)  Is this possible?

Merge to PDF?

At one time there was a link that could supposedly merge GoldMine data to a PDF file, similar to the way a Word document works. I don't recall if I had never tried it, but as far as I know there were people using the feature.

 

I have been asked by a customer if I can see if it's still possible. Looking at some old compatibility matrix documents I see that up through GoldMine 2013, Acrobat Professional 7/8/9 were listed as options in the "Integration" section.

Upgrading to 10.2.500.0 fails

Hi,

 

At the point of writing there is no admin article for 10.2.500.0.

 

Performing a manual upgrade of first client / database fails. Running 9.12.0.0 and upgrading using the upgrade pack.

 

Install tries to install but ends with 'An error occurred please contact your vendor'. The installer reports 'Enabling Windows Installer Service...OK as the last item. The upgrade stops.

 

Workstation is running .NET 4.7.1 and ran as an administrator.

 

Any ideas?

Mac Agent Deployment Fails with Error 1083 after Upgrading to 2017.3 SU1

Title pretty much explains it all. We upgraded from EPM 2017.1 to EPM 2017.3 SU1 and when I schedule a Mac agent push it fails. The return code is 1083 and result "The agent setup program returned an error." I am able to successfully push out the Windows agent, just not the Mac agent. I have double checked to make sure that I have an account from the Mac in the scheduler service alternate credentials.

 

Not sure where to go from here, any input would be helpful.

Hello, i am looking for some help on the dashboard incident/task color when status changes.

 

Currently, when we have priority 1 ticket that is active, it is RED.

when the status change from Active to Waiting or workaround, is there a way to change the color?

 

so it would be like this for priority 1 ticket.

 

Active                       Priority 1   <--RED

Waiting                     Priority 1   <--Yellow  (#c1b222)

Workaround             Priority 1  <--Green  (#37c122)

Disappearing Mapped Drives (Citrix) 10.1 FR3 HF1

Upgraded to 10.1 FR3 - Agents, configs, server upgraded. Drives are randomly not mapping or are disconnecting mid-session.  There have been no config changes - we wanted to do agents first (halt and test) then move on to configs. 

 

Provisioned Citrix XenApp environment - The config uses the older unmap drive action first followed by a map drive action.  The map drive action (in the 10.1 config) includes the "Override existing drive mapping" checked.  I realize this removes the need for the unmap drive action but am curious if the two actions with this checked is causing the problem.  The user group condition has Evaluate Once Per Session checked.  Lastly, this is hung off of the Pre-Desktop trigger so the drives are mapped as temporary - No other triggers touch drive mappings.  

 

I do have a support case open as well since this is affecting production.  I'll be moving everything back to an old VBS logon script that we know works. 

 

Curious if anyone has seen this or has any ideas.  AppSense drive mappings worked fine with EM 8.6.  Large confidence loss at the moment decorated with a huge black eye. 

Application Blocked even with Trusted Vendor certificate

OS: Windows 7 SP1, x86/x64

Application Control 10.1 FR3

 

I'm testing Trusted Vendor on this platform; however, applications are still blocked. In this instance, I'm testing GoToMeeting by adding the LogMeIn, Inc. certificate to Everyone / Trusted Vendors, but it continues to be blocked. The same configuration works in my test environment on Windows 10.

 

Anyone got any pointers as to why Trusted Vendor would not be working?

  I'm new to using DSM netinstall, I want to be able to detect if the product exists on the machine before trying to install it.  what is the best method to do this?  Do I need to write me own escript pre-execution script and write the conditions to check for?

Hello,

first at all: My customer won't use the emulation-keyboard. I don't have a AS400.

 

He wants to clear an input-field. He wants to do this with the "Del"-Key.

 

I have defined the following macro but he told me it did not work: 5300:\0005

 

What's wrong?

 

How must I define the macro?

hello everyone, i have been searching the forums and im sorry if this has already been answered, but i must ask again.

 

 

We have a Fleet of about 1000 Zebra MC40 Android Devices.

 

We had a 3rd party vendor use stage now to image the devices and install a android application on the device.
We finally needed to upgrade that application to a newer version, so we packaged the apk and pushed it out and the upgrade went great..
Unfortunately the software was extremely unstable and we had to back out.

 

We disabled the profile that we built for a small test group of devices and then tried to push back out the older version but it would not install.

 

Im guessing because the new version that was on the device is 5.4 and the old version is 5.0

 

Based on what i read online android by default doesn't allow a unattended down grade.

 

we had to go back and re image said devices but i would like to know if anyone has ran into this and if they have a potential solution in case we run into it again.

We upgraded from 7.3.~ yesterday to 7.4.2 and SEP is going crazy over this file that resides in: %USERPROFILE%\appdata\local\temp\lanrevagentrelaunchhelper.exe

 

Flagging it as a Trojan.Gen.2 Malware.

Font Driver Host reported as Current User Name on Windows 10 1703

Is anyone else seeing this behavior where the Font Driver Host\UMFD-0 is always listed as the Current and Last User Name on Windows 10 1703 machines?  In previous builds of Windows 10, the Current User Name was at least updated to show the active user session, but in 1703 it doesn't change at all.

Reminder Send Date Calculation

I am taking over administration of our organization's Service Desk 2016, and an ongoing issue we've experienced is extended delays in our notifications being received by end users.

 

In investigating our Incident Process, it appears that some of our instances of Add Reminder differ in their Send Date formula. Most display a send date of a date in 2007 (which I understand were set so the reminder would be sent immediately at runtime) with no value defined in the formula, but there are several with a Send Date formula as follows:

If we alter all of our Add Reminder objects to have the Send Date formula as:

Is this likely to mitigate some delay issues that may be being caused? Any advisement is appreciated. Thank you!
