Is ImportData supported with EnvironmentManager 10.1?

Is there a version of ImportData that's supported with Environment Manager 10.1? I can't find a download for it anywhere.

 

I'd like to export the %appdata%\Microsoft\Signatures directory from our Office application personalization groups back into the local windows profile so I can then move those files into a windows personalization group.


Tasks per Incident

Hello,

 

Quick question... Can you only have one task running per incident at any given time? 

 

I have tested having multiple task processes running at once.  You can initiate each task, however, after the first task is running (highlighted in yellow), there is no "Add Task" in the history after a second task has been created.

 

Example of history below:

I don't want to spend anymore time trying to develop this if its not possible.

 

We are currently running Service Desk 2016.2

What are the various processes (exes) that are used for various LANDesk tasks?

What are the various processes (EXES) that would run if I were running tasks in LANDesk on a machine?

 

So for instance, software pushes use SDCLIENT.EXE, patching uses VULSCAN, Inventory Scan uses LDISCN32.exe? What are other ones? Provisioning? Script pushes (not software distribution packages)? Etc.?

Landesk EPS - LDAV Kaspersky and Windows 10 Fall update 1709.

 

We are finding that LDAV KAV is not compatible with Windows 10's Fall update (1709).

 

All clients upgraded to the Fall update have the LDAV/KAV crashing or consuming multiple cores for no apparent reason. It also marks all LDAV clients as "invalid keys or not activated" and when you look the logs, there are literally millions of entries with the same text:

 

ERROR: Failed to delete Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3

 

We also tried building Windows 10 1709s from scratch and the behavior is the same.

 

 

  • C:\Program Data\LANDesk\Log creating new, 2MB ldav_install.X.log files at the rate of at least 8 per minute, rolling over after 8 (for a total of 8), each containing tens of thousands of repetitions of:
    1. Mon, 06 Nov 2017 08:26:55 ERROR: Failed to delete Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3
    2. This is the only line in the file

I try to deploy the full agent to a win7 client. Task return error code 1081

failed -- An error occurred while copying the agent software.

 

then I checked on the client access ip\C$  it's created folder &ldcfg& but the folder is empty.

and check raxfer.log see an error --- CBA 8 X509 operation : -2147481845 (8000070b8u) : Unable to contact the remote agent.

Install RES Workspace Manager without AppGuard and NetGuard

Hello,

 

Is it possible to install RES Worskpace Manager v10.x without the filter driver / process interception component (formely AppGuard) and Netguard?

We have heavy applications and RES might be using too much resources trying to intercept applications and we do not use the netguard feature.

We just want to use RES for the Workspace settings / printers / scripts / executable commands / etc.

So is there any way to remove the appguard/netguard when installing RES?

ENG: Hey Everyone,

 

I have a problem, In Identity Directory > Service Catalog have I created a new service that creates new users accounts. But in our in environment we use number instead of names.

 

How can I create that evertime when a H&R makes a new account that a account starts with a new number.

 

Example:

 

In Identity Director > Service Catalog > Create new user (Thats what my services is called) > attributes > 'UserLogonName' > --that it creates automaticlly a new user number--- (such as that user ''test001'' already exists in AD, but if i want to create a new account that ''test002'' already been filled in an new request.)

 

I hoop that somebody will help me with this problem, and help me to find a solution.

Ik heb een probleem. In Identity Director > Service Catalog > heb ik een nieuwe service aangemaakt, waar H&R een formulier invult om zo nieuwe gebruiker uit rollen. Echter loop ik tegen het probleem aan dat elke medewerker een nummer is. Bijv. Test001. In "Attributes" heb ik een attribuut staan "UserLogonName" die gekoppeld is met AD waar H&R de gebruikersnaam invult. Dit wordt op dit moment nog handmatig gedaan, ik weet zelf dat het mogelijk is om dit automatisch in te laten vullen door nieuwe nummer bijv. test002, maar ik weet niet hoe.

 

Voorbeeld:

 

In Identity Director > Service Catalog > Aanvraag nieuwe gebruiker (Dit is hoe ik mijn services heb genoemd) > Attributes > Naar de Atterbuut "UserLogonName" (op dit moment wordt hierin een nieuwe gebruiker handmatig in gevuld, maar ik weet dat dit automatisch kan. Handmatig vul bijv. test001, maar bijv. als ik een 2e gebruiker wil aanmaken moet dit veld dan automatisch ingevuld worden met test002)

 

Hoe kan ik dit oplossen of wie heeft er een suggestie?

 

Ik hoop dat iemand me ermee kan helpen.

Query/Filter on ConfigurationItem Attribute

Hey ServiceDesk Pals,

 

In configration management you know under configuration item there are sublevels - Asset, bundle, service, workstation, etc.. . I'm trying to only pull configuration items in a drop down for the sublevel of Workstation. However in my window I am recieving all configuration items. So I thought I could create a query under Configuration Item that is the following:

- Attribute: Title

- Citeria: Class type Is Equal To Workstation

 

I thought I could place this in the Query/Filter under the attribute in Window Manager, but i'm still recieving all the configuration item.

Is this possible?

WinPE10 mit Win7

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich versuche gerade verzweifelt Win7 SP1 mit WinPE10 zu installieren. Leider scheitert es akutell bei mir schon an dem Fehler "need another boot environment" im DSM Client. Des weiteren lässt sich die "setup.exe" von Win7 nicht starten, da zwei dll Files (wbemprox.dll und fastprox.dll) den Fehler "the procedure entry point ... could not be located in the dynamic link library". Eine Installation über WinPE3 ist nicht möglich da die NVM-SSD nicht erkannt wird. Habe leider auch schon alles mit Win7 versucht und komme einfach nicht weiter. Hat von euch noch jemand eine Idee?

Bitlocker im DSM Umfeld inkl. Speicherung und Verwaltung der .bek Files + Recovery Keys

Hallo zusammen,

 

wir haben aktuell die Anforderung unsere HW Clients die von DSM verwaltet werden mit Bitlocker auszustatten.

 

MBAM etc wollen wir aufgrund des Aufwands eigentlich vermeiden,

Jetzt war die Idee das Ganze über DSM zu steuern. Leider fehlt mir aktuell noch das KnowHow welche Möglichkeiten es gibt und wie man das Ganze umsetzen kann.

 

Deswegen wollte ich eine neue Diskussion starten zu diesen Thema..

 

Wie kann ich DSM dazu bringen das auf dem Client die Verschlüsselung angestoßen wird?

-> Mit einen Script - gibt es hierzu irgendwie schon Anwendungsbeispiele die man adaptieren kann?

 

Kann man DSM dazu bringen die .bek Dateien und die Recoveryschlüssel verschlüsselt zu Speichern oder auf einen Share ( oder anderen Server) schreiben zu lassen?

 

Ich freue mich auf eure Antworten.

unattend.xml und Windows 10-Ausbringung

Hallo Zusammen,

 

wir sind kürzlich von DSM 2016.2.1 auf DSM 2017 (Build 7.4.0.4356) migriert und ich bin gerade dabei, das Ausrollen von Windows 10 (x64) Enterprise N (1703) zu testen, da die Windows 10-Migration bei uns demnächst ansteht.

 

Dabei bin ich erneut auf das berüchtigte Problem mit "Setup Failed, Return value was 31 ( Error [0x06066d] IBS CallBack_SelectImageOrShowUi: Couldn't decide which Windows image to use and was asked to never show the UI in unattend mode. hr =0x80004005)" aufgelaufen.

 

Ich hatte das schon, als wir noch auf der 2016.2.1 waren. Die Lösung war, in der unattend.xml manuell die Zeilen

<Key>/IMAGE/NAME</Key>
<Value>%InstallationParameters.Edition%</Value>

duch diese Zeilen

<Key>/IMAGE/INDEX</Key>
<Value>1</Value>

zu ersetzen.

 

Das funktioniert zwar immer noch, ich hätte es aber lieber, wenn ich da nicht am DSM vorbei an der unattend.xml herumfrickeln müsste.

 

Offensichtlich kommt die setup.exe beim Ausrollen nicht mit der Benamung zurecht, die das einzige in der install.wim vorhandene Abbild hat.

Der Wert, der im "Windows 10 (Version 7.4.0.4329) - OS Configuration Package" für den Installationsparameter "Edition" übergeben wird, ist wohl nicht korrekt.

 

Zur Ermittlung des korrekten Werts für "%InstallationParameters.Edition%" habe ich DISM verwendet:

dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:C:\Pakete\SW_DVD9_WIN_ENT_N_10_1703.1_64BIT_German_MLF_X21-47952\sources\install.wim

 

liefert das:

Tool zur Imageverwaltung für die Bereitstellung
Version: 10.0.14393.0

Details für Abbild: "C:\Pakete\SW_DVD9_WIN_ENT_N_10_1703.1_64BIT_German_MLF_X21-47952\sources\install.wim"

Als Wert für "%InstallationParameters.Edition%" habe ich sowohl "Windows 10 Enterprise N" als auch "EnterpriseN" ausprobiert. Beides läuft aber auf diesen Fehler [0x06066d].

Die ISO habe ich bei https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/servicecenter heruntergeladen. Das Abbild wird per KMS aktiviert, was auch korrekt funktioniert.

 

Ich hätte erwartet, dass dieser Fehler irgendwann weggepatcht worden wäre. Den gibt es ja schon ewig. Das scheint aber nicht so zu sein.

Meine Frage ist also: Was muss in "Edition" (oder sonstwo) eingetragen werden, dass das Ausrollen ohne diesen Fehler [0x06066d] durchläuft, ohne dass man an der unattend.xml herumfrickeln muss?

Seit DSM Update 2017 "zufällige" BLS Auslastung bei 100%

Hallo, hat noch jemand dieses neue Verhalten? Wir haben 2 BLS und seit dem Update von 2016 auf 2017 haben wir derzeit noch per "Zufallsprinzip" 100% CPU Auslastung auf dem einen oder anderen BLS, nachdem ich den IIS resette bzw. den BLS neu starte ist alles wieder gut .... Nach ein paar Tagen fangt das wieder an.

How To show all CI.Servers linked to another CI in a picklist

Hi all,

 

in our CMDB we have an Object which is called CI.BusinessApplication. We are using the CI Map to link all servers which are provider for a Business app. We use the ouf the box relationship for this "CiServiceMapAssocidatedCI" which is a N:M relationship to archive this.

 

We are trying to create a picklist which can be used to show all Servers linked to a business application.

I tried to use a constraint like this:

[CI#BusinessApplication.CIServiceMapAssociatedCI]Name equals to "ITSM"

but I got zero search results. If i leave the Equals to field empty I see a list of all servers.

We wanted to use the new list in a request offering for making visible which servers do provide a business application. Has anybody being able to archive this?

Can an incoming email create a service request.  This would be for one service offering only, so I would not need the ability to select from the list of dozens of offerings.  It could be set up to create a static SR

I am working on an Equipment Request Request Offering where customers are able to submit a request for different types of computer equipment.  I'm using check boxes for each type of equipment, and I am trying to setup the Request Fulfillment workflow with an IF Block after Start that looks to fields I've specified that would need approval if checked, and if True will send an approval out to the appropriate department manager.  My problem is that the IF Block is not working correctly, and surmising that I have not filled out the Value field correctly.  For each check box field in the IF Block I have tried a value of 1, '1', and True, and 'True', but when I test submitting the form, the IF Block uses the false exit despite checking a box in the form that would require approval.  Hope that made sense.

Automate adding members to a contact group

I have related a specific contact group a service request via a quick action.  As a second action I want to add members to that same group based on loginID's that are in hidden fields on the Service Request.  The Contact group gets related, but the members are not added.  See attachment.

How do I allow users in a role or on a team to accept and work on a task when their role does not have permission to update or view the parent ticket?

I am open to unique configuration options. We have certain incident tickets that should not be viewed by other teams, so Role permissions have been set to block access. Is there a way to override the basic rule permissions if a certain team is assigned? Or is there a way for them to view, accept and work on tasks without being able to see the master ticket?

Is it possible to use $(Prompt to prompt for a customer in a incident quick action template?
