_consolidate_ Ordner nach Revision

Hiho,

 

was genau hat es denn mit diesem _consolidate_ Ordner auf sich?

Ich hab nur ein Treiberpaket aktualisiert sprich rev. angelegt und das extern$ verzeichnis aktualisiert und nun seh ich das enteo diesen neuen Ordner angelegt hat in dem die ganzen alten Treiber vor der Revision drin sind.


Slow first log on times

We use version 2017.3

 

Each time user loges on it takes 30-40 seconds to establish a session. Then next time it takes about 2-3 seconds. But as soon as session time out limit of 20 mins is reached, first logon takes again 30-40 seconds.

 

We have 5 servers:4 for WebAccess, one as Application. System works using load balancer, sessions are created using InProc method.

 

Followed up all the performance configuration advises, sadly nothing helped.

 

Have anyone had the same issues? Any ideas what could be causing that?

An error occurred while retrieving the transfer set.

Installed GoldMine-2018.1-HF2 on an Undocked Workstation computer yesterday. I then tried to sync the workstation and received the message "An error occurred while retrieving the transfer set" at the end of the sync session.

 

Prior to the update, I disabled all Undocked Workstations in the GoldSync Administration Center so users were not able to sync until I updated their workstations.

 

I copied the sync logs and have them available if needed for help in troubleshooting.

 

I am hoping someone can shed some light on this before I resort to opening a Support Case.

I would like to know the methods or types of integrations that can be done with Ivanti Service Desk (Through Web Services and Events). And how these integrations can be done.

 

We have some requirements to use both Web Services to Send/Receive data.

Good Morning,

 

I have a situation where a subset of a group of users are unable to run an application after an update to the the product, for many of the users it work fine. It appears if I delete the personalisation data for the product it then begins to work again, so there is possibly an invalid setting between versions.

To help diagnose the exact root cause I would like to clone a non working personalisation on to a test account for analysis, is this possible in any way?

Software Package failed

Guys, I got stucked with our Win 10 Deployment. The Office 2016 distribution package doesn´t continue within the Win 10 Provision template. It doesn´t abort, it downloads all the files and holds on. It stays till I kill the provisioning task. The software package as a standalone task works.

Anyone with similar experience or even a solution?

 

I attached some of the logfiles, the office 2016 package ID is 374.

I have various templates in the document centre; they have all been working fine but now I have tried to edit a document and when clicking on the goldmine drop down fields nothing happens? The fields are not merging into the word document?

Automatically assigning task to user who creates SR

I am attempting to create a request offering which automatically assigns the SR to the user who creates the SR in Service Manager. I'm using the Extended Task block to set Owner and OwnerTeam using the $(CurrentLoginID()) and $(CurrentUserTeam()) functions respectively. I would expect these functions to pull the user and team of the person who is creating the SR, however, it appears that the workflow is pulling that info from the built-in InternalServices account:

LDAP Sync is overwriting teams, any assistance?

We are getting very close to our go-live with Ivanti, but we are still trying to get a few bugs ironed out.  We are using an LDAP import to get our user data, and 99% our users should just be in a Self Service User team.  but our IT and support staff we do want in specific teams. Here is our current LDAP settings.

When we have a check, our default team gets overwritten, when it's unchecked, all the LDAP imports fails because:

 

Update CN=XXXX\, XXXXX,OU=XXXXXX,DC=XXXX,DC=org failed: System.ApplicationException: Item 'CN=XXXXXX\, XXXXXXx,OU=XXXXXXX,DC=XXXX,DC=org' does not contain required property '[Use Text Value]'.

 

Any place I see LDAP setting mentioned, it seems that Team is always set with a grayed-out checkbox, but I can't figure out how to gray it out.  i know it's probably a simple fix, can anyone help?

Rebuilding a 2017.x environment

I am rebuilding a Development environment server and want to make sure I remove all of the remnants from the original installation as if it was a clean environment.

  • So that Installation screen is empty
  • So that it drops the handle on all of the old databases
  • Ops Console
  • Everything....

Cannot install Outlook integration with GM v2018

Installing GM workstation setup for new customer who upgraded to v2018.1.0.65149.  Office 2016 and Windows 10.

 

After selecting Microsoft Word and Excel add-ins as part of the install, the next page I select the recommended Outlook integration - the new one.

 

When I hit Next, the following message appears:  Setup could not find a qualify installation of Outlook.  GoldMine Plus for Microsoft Outlook will not be installed.

 

The other workstations were successful and they have the same OS and Office versions.  Is this an example of the problems with the OL link that was just discovered?

 

Unfortunately, I installed the upgrade prior to receiving that memo and if running the fix resolves it, once it's been tested, that would be ok - I just don't want to unnecessarily disrupt their operation to get this to work, if possible.

 

BTW, they did not have any of the add-ins installed previously so there was no need to uninstall current add-ins.

Modify Change Lifecycle ITSM

I'm running 2017.3 and am relatively new to ITSM.  We are a smaller shop and want to modify the Change lifecycle.  We want to be able to go from Status = Logged to Status = Pending Approval.  There is an intermediate step, namely Requested, we want to skip.  How best to accomplish this.  I tried creating a quick action and adding that to the lifecyle so that When a Change is "Requested" Update Status to Pending Approval.  However, when I test a change, it didn't work saying Pending Approval was not in validation list...

 

So my questions are:

  1. How do I get rid of the added action in the lifecycle (I deleted the quick action in the business object, yet the action and checkbox still remain when viewing the lifecycle)?
  2. How best to accomplish skipping over the Requested status?

User cannot see all his contacts list

One of remote user cannot see full list of contacts he owns.

The single view he can see is only of 2 contacts (from ~270 contacts), nothing more.

And even these contacts are nothing to do with him. Or his ownership.

If I click on "Company" to search for a certain Company, search result gives a big 0 (zero).

This behavior is only on his remote Goldmine app installation.

I have tried to replicate in other remote installation and it works fine. All contacts can be seen. So is not database related but only local application configuration.

Question: where is the hack? What has he setup by accident and now we do not know how to revert?

Is there a release date for EPM 2018.1?

Our company has been working towards disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on all systems and according to Ivanti Tech Support, EPM 2018.1 will be the version to allow us to reach that goal with our Endpoint Manager Core systems. The deadline is fast approaching for the end of the project. The timeline given to me by support was an expected release "Late Q1, early Q2". April is now turning to May and I need to close this out.

Managing Windows Defender with LDMS/EPM?

We are currently using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise, managed by McAfee ePO, for our anti-malware coverage on a dark (airgapped) network.  Management is considering dropping McAfee and just going with Windows Defender instead.  I've been able to download the definitions for Defender, and I assume I can deploy those definitions as well, using LDMS 2016.3.  The next question is, what other aspects of Windows Defender management can LDMS/EPM handle?  Is anyone else out there managing Windows Defender using LDMS or EPM?  What I read elsewhere says that people who use just Defender for their anti-malware naturally use SCCM for managing it.  I don't really want to be pulled into SCCM's gravity.  How much can LDMS/EPM do with this?


Error: Invalid Object Name "LDSD.dbo.im_incident_task"

We had upgraded service desk from 7.7 to 2017.3 in the test environment,  it passed all the test after the test upgrade.  A few weeks later,  when we tried to log a  incident ticket  in iVanti 2017.03 on the test server, we are getting " Invalid Object name LDSD.dbo.im_incident_task" .

 

As far as I know we have not made any change in the database,  we have not delete or remove any object or modified any attribute.

 

Please can anyone shed some lights on this error?  What we can try to rectify this error?

Manually Link CI to User via WebDesk

I'm well versed with user-CI linking in the Administration module in Console, via process or via data import but what about via WebDesk.

 

I want Analysts to be able to create a new CI via Webdesk form (OK doing this part already) and then manually link this CI to the user in Webdesk (hmm!).  What's the equivalent in Webdesk of the "add CI to user" action in console administration;  is there one?

 

All I can think of at the moment is to have a small change process with Add and Remove Actions which then run the link/unlink CI process actions as appproriate to the action selected and then close.  However I'm certain the must be a simpler way that has escaped me so far in the documentation and this community.  Maybe run a query and then it's a right click action on the results or something...

 

Can someone urgently advise?

In incident have GO TO go to External Contact for Closed Incidents.

Currently in Incident you can select the GO TO to take you to the External Contact to view History only on open or Active tickets and if you are an admin.  In Admin you can GO TO even if the Incident is Closed.  Anyone can not GO TO to see External Contact history.  Where can I find the rule or trigger to change it so that everyone can GO TO External Contact to view their history?

It works as expected.

But as soon i set the attribut ConfigurationItem._CGDMSCExplanation to String subDataType in HTML, the ReadOnly policy doesn't apply anymore

I tried to use _CGDMSCExplanationhtml and alos ConfigItem._CGDMSCExplanation but nothing works

I didn't find any information regarding this case in the forum.

And as it's works with module pm_process.pm_description cross windows on im_incident i didn't understand how manage it

Maybe it's solved in new version ?

 

Somebody could test it ?

Use a String -1 in ConfigItem and in a Child from AssetManagement try to hide on ReadOnly.

When it's work, set the String to HTML also and check if the ReadOnly still applied.

 

Thank a lot if someone take time to indicate if it's work form him and in witch version.
