Stop/Start Clock Attribute?

Hey ServiceDesk Pals,

 

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there an "Stop/Start Clock" Attribute that you are able to pull to determine the amount of time a record it took to resolve (min)?

 

Currently I would like to run a report on incidents that have been closed within a hour, but the incidents that were in a pending status need to have the clocked stopped then started back up after leaving that pending state. I have the process designed to stop the clock and start the clock, but I'm not sure which attribute this is to pull from?  Is this possible? 


Agent in subnet can not "connect"

Hello everyone,

 

i have installed a test installation of Ivanti Endpoint manager. The Setup and everything worked fine.

I created a task to deploy the agent, and it worked. In the same subnet the devices are shown as connected.

Though, devices in a different subnet are shown as not connected. The Connection is available, because the pushed agent installation succeeded and i can Ping the device and take remote control (from the Ivanti Console), and so on.

It even recognized the Change of my IP Adress. But it is always shown as not connected. (see the screenshot below)

 

Edit: Firewall and Antivirus are completely disabled on bot devices. (Core Server and Notebook in different Subnet)

 

I searched, but haven't found anything in the Forum or in google.

 

I hope anyone can help me with this issue.

CI Service Filter

Hi all

 

We have a Business object for CI.Service which has all of our services listed regardless of Status - Operational, disposed etc.

 

We then link the Change/Incident/Problem to the relevant service.

 

The selection is currently showing all Services however I'd like to filter it so it only shows the ones with "Operational" as the Status.

 

I'm not sure how I apply this filter, whether its in the change/incident/problem module or the Service module itself.

Can we place queries in datamodeleditor to extract the required data?

As of now, what i know is: after connecting to database we can create view and add table which belongs to that database. We can pull the columns(all/any) using Database lookup. Also we can use filters to filter data from the table which we created. Is there any alternate way like placing SQL query and extracting the required data instead of using filters?

我们使用的是ivanti管理控制台10.1.10.287,并将windows agent客户端安装在不同品牌和型号的计算机和台式机上。

 

已安装windows agent的客户端(是在外网环境下手动安装的)在外网环境下无法连接至服务器,服务器端无法收集其硬件和软件安装列表信息。

 

还请问下有什么方法可以解决该问题,谢谢。

SQL server sizing for hosting 11k users personalization database

Hi to all, have anyone experience with SQL server sizing for 11 thousand users for personalization database v10? I know, that it depends on number of requests and size of personalized profile, but there is no recommendation for that. What is for our database guys important is CPU, RAM and IOPS of MS SQL server (not Personalization server). We are thinking about full personalization of terminal server profiles (windows server 2016), avarage size of profile is up to 10MB.

HEAT UAT Database Issue

Hi all,


We're having an issue at the moment following a Database refresh on our UAT environment.

 

We have a call outstanding but I thought I'd ask the forum to see if anyone else has had the same issue.

 

Steps taken:

  • Back up taken of Prod Application Database and restored into the STG environment successfully.
  • Back up then taken of STG to remove email listener settings and restored to the UAT app database
  • Log on unavailable in UAT DB – error message is ‘Access Denied’. DB can be seen by the server as it is presenting the log on screen
  • Prod back up then restored to UAT including email listener being on – the email service on UAT server has been disabled to stop the application looking in the Prod mailbox and logging calls in UAT incorrectly
  • Same issue with log on applies to UAT with refresh straight from Prod
  • All server application services and ISS Services have been restarted on UAT server after all DB restores
  • Another Prod backup was taken at a later date than that of the one restored into STG and put straight into UAT – same issue with log on applies
  • A back up of the UAT DB was taken one calendar week before the refresh that has worked in STG and not in UAT. This back up that is solely of the UAT DB can be restored to make the UAT application work, however this does not contain the relevant data or config settings that are applied in the Prod or STG
  • Local Admin account also fails to log onto Application – even running script on the DB to set the password to a generic log on does not allow access
  • All user accounts do not have access

 

Does anyone happen to know the specific tables in the DB that store the user accounts or log ons etc. as we might be able to strip these out of the working old version of UAT and into the new one as a trial.

 

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Has anyone managed to use any of the AppSense products to prompt users when the password will expire based on the parameters set

For example 14 days before

I know it can be done via GPO but i am looking at other options


Windows 10 Inplace upgrade, Pakete auf Reinstall und "The network path was not found"

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich teste gerade mit der Windows 10-Installation sowie Inplace Upgrades. Soweit läuft schon mal alles. :-)

 

Ich habe ein paar Skripte, die nach einem Inplace upgrade über den Befehl "MarkPackageAsNotInstalled" und dem entsprechenden Software-Tag dann auf Neuinstallation gestellt werden. Auch das funktioniert - im Prinzip.

Allerdings erhalte ich dann öfters die Fehlermeldung

Could not make files available for job InstallJob:PolicyInstance.xxxx. Reported error is 'The network path was not found. (0x00000035)'.

 

Ich denke mal, das liegt daran, dass der Service Installer losläuft, während Windows noch beim Starten fertig konfiguriert wird. Da das Upgrade auch die Treiber migriert, könnte es gut sein, dass die Netzwerk einen neuen Treiber erhält und somit die Verbindung verliert.

 

Jetzt ist das in der Regel nicht weiter schlimm, im Moment verteile ich so gut wie keine Pakete, so dass auch kein weiterer Neustart des Rechners durchgeführt wird. Aber wenn das System später mal so weit wäre, dann wäre ja eh die Pakete aktuell und es würden das Inplace upgrade sowie alle durch das entsprechende Software-Tag zurückgesetzten Pakete eingespielt werden. Aber das würde dann nicht direkt im Anschluss geschehen.

 

Eine Idee wäre, den Start des Runtime Service zu verzögern, aber das würde dann ja alle Installationen treffen. Aktuell ist der Standard-Wert 0s eingetragen.

 

Wie handhabt Ihr das?

Hallo,

 

Ich habe seit der installation des APM Modul massive Platzprobleme. Zwar wurde durch entfernen des classic PM mein Management Point gut bereinigt, aber meine Depots sind weiterhin voll und leider kann ich auch auf einige keinen weiteren Speicherplatz freigeben. Jetzt wollte ich mal einige alte Pakete + Revisionen Löschen was nicht möglich ist da er mir hier ne meldung gibt das das Paket noch benötigt wird. Was allerdings nicht sein kann da ich alle Software Policies rausgenommen habe. Falls jemand einen Ratschlag hat bitte melden Danke.dsmfehlermeldung.PNG

Wir verwenden die Version 2016.2 R2. Mir wäre auch damit geholfen wenn mir jemand sagen könnte wo ich die entsprechenden Logfiles finden würde.

Automate adding members to a contact group

I have related a specific contact group a service request via a quick action.  As a second action I want to add members to that same group based on loginID's that are in hidden fields on the Service Request.  The Contact group gets related, but the members are not added.  See attachment.

How Do I Use An Update Block To Override The Default Owner Team

I created a request offering. Upon submission via Self-Service it is assigned to team Service Desk and owner is blank. HEAT documentation states "The default owner team for service requests created from the Self-Service Portal is Service Desk, while the default owner and owner team for service requests created from Ivanti Service Manager is the login name and team of the logged-in user."

 

I want to override the defaults at the time of creation instead of having to change it manually post-creation. I tried adding an update block to the workflow and provided values for team and owner. The update is ignored.

 

Does anyone know how to setup the workflow to override the default team value?

Windows 10 1709 - Ivanti DC 5.1.1 and UMFD-0 FontDriverHost

Hello,

 

I do have a Support Call open for this. However I would like to see if others are seeing the same results.

 

We have upgraded LES to Ivanti DC 5.1.1 (Update 1) and this works as expected on all OS's except for Windows 10 1709 - Fall Update. LES 4.6SR2 works as expected on Windows 10 1709 but 5.1.1 does not. USB Pen Drives appear to be split into both Removable Storage and Portable Devices and the user account that shows the READ_DENIED events is UMFD-0 or UMFD-1 which is from the FontDriverHost process?? It has a SID for the account but it is not possible to create rules for these accounts?

 

The UMFD accounts are also prominent in Windows 10 1703, so we are unsure why this issue is only occurring in 1709. Can anyone else replicate this?

Hi,

 

We are still fairly new here to using EPM and have begun creating Rollout projects for our 3rd party software updates. We use an Alpha/Beta/Prod workflow but wondering if it is generally advised to set something to Global Autofix after it has moved through the patching cycle.

Getting error when trying to add a new template in Ivanti Console. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I have tried logging into the server from a couple of desktops but still get the same error that Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I can click on continue or quit and quitting shuts down my session. See attached. See attached, thanks.

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate"

I think I know the answer to this, but I want to make sure.  When I pull up the Web Console, I get the standard message, "There is a problem with this website's security certificate."  When I look at that certificate, sure enough it's listed as "LANDESK Secure Token Server," and is the same as the one in IIS on the core server.  I had expected to find a way to generate an SSL request for our AD-based CA (as we have to do with other web-based admin consoles), but it looks like LDMS 2016.3 (like all LDMS/IEM servers?) is different.  To resolve this, do I need to "Pre-Trust" the LANDESK certificate so all systems treat it with the same authority as a CA-based cert, as described in Pre-Trusting the LANDesk Certificates ?

server configuration manager not loading database and server details

After I upgraded our testing environment from 8.9 to v10 I need to upgrade the SQL database, however when I load server configuration manager, It stalls on  loading database and server details

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any Ideas?
