"Open record in parent object, if possible" - What if it's not possible?

Hi,

 

I have a dashboard part 'My Teams Open Tasks' which is configured with the "Open record in parent object, if possible" checkbox ticked.  But I don't know what is supposed to happen if it's not possible to open it in the parent.

 

I have a scenario whereby it's possible (or we need it to be possible) that a task will be assigned to a team but due to the Object Access Permissions we have set on the Incidents, the team who own the task do not have access to the Incident.  I was hoping that when selecting the Task from the Dashboard it would open the Task workspace and form as it's not possible for that user to open the Incident but what's actually happening is that the Incident workspace opens with a blank form and no task information.

 

Any feedback would, as always, be very much appreciated.

Is the full path needed for filepath detection

I am trying to create a custom definition for a patch (and product) and can only get the detection to work if I specify the full path to the executable I am detecting. It may not always be the case that the application is installed in the same location so I need to be able to detect using wildcards or just the executable name. Is this possible?

User cannot see all his contacts list

One of remote user cannot see full list of contacts he owns.

The single view he can see is only of 2 contacts (from ~270 contacts), nothing more.

And even these contacts are nothing to do with him. Or his ownership.

If I click on "Company" to search for a certain Company, search result gives a big 0 (zero).

This behavior is only on his remote Goldmine app installation.

I have tried to replicate in other remote installation and it works fine. All contacts can be seen. So is not database related but only local application configuration.

Question: where is the hack? What has he setup by accident and now we do not know how to revert?

"Publish to web" option on Email not showing for Self Service Users

Hi,

 

I'm using on premises Heat.

 

When ticking the "Publish to web" option on Email it won't allow the Self Service user to view the update.

The email sends without issue and the Analyst can view the email.

The Self Service user can see notes which have been published to web.

 

Any suggestions how I can get this working? It would help encourage users to use the portal more often.

Asset Manager (Asset Central): How many license do I need?

Hi,

I know that Asset Central is licensed "by Asset", but I failed to get more details about what "Asset" really means. A simple example to illustrate/clarify my question:

 

I have 1000 Desktops and 1000 Laptops. Each desktop have at least 1 monitor attached (CI relation) to it, some of them have 2 and more so in summary there is 1500 Monitors in my environment. I wish to have other CI's in database as well. For example 100 IP Phone , 150 Network Printers, 50 USB Printers etc. (cost management). Furthermore each hard disk should be recorded as separate CI (dedicated lifecycle) according to company policy.

 

So do I need license for each CI in database? What are the rules to calculate number of license needed? If I have 1 Desktop with 1 HDD inside and 2 monitors attached to it, I will use 3 licenses? What about Software License and Software Product (inside Asset Central database). By default Asset Central is configured to store information about Software in couple CI's (License, Product, Usage), so if I have 1 Software License, 1 Software Product (related to SW License) and 1 Software Product Usage (related to SW Product) I will use 3 licenses?

How to add location 21 entry in Microsoft Access 2016.admx

Could someone tell me how to add an extra trust location entry in Ivanti.

 

The policy (access16.admx) has room for 20 trusted locations. We need a few more. Or if I add this policy via the shortcut, does it interfer with the main policy defined in the User Registry.

 

There is a way to edit the admx file and distribute the GPO, but I can't find a way to apply this for Ivanti. The link below explains how to edit.

CI Audit Trail

We have in our webdesk a query called "CI audit trail" , which when given a CI ref number will show historical entries for attribs that have changed

I need to know how it works in order to build some sort of tool to get history on many CIs . I cant even tell which query the shortcut is running.

 

Is it something to do with the cf_current_version_guid in the cf_config_item table in the DB?

 

any suggestions?

Capture Internet password data

We hebben de procedure gevolgd om de webcache te capture op de "nieuwe" manier die nodig is op het moment dat er office 365  gebruikt wordt. Dus met reg item RestoreCookies2 = yes.

Het probleem waar ik tegen aanloop is dat de eerste keer dat de gebruiker inlogt met de capture setting enabled. De Capture niet goed gaat. De 2de keer inloggen gaat wel goed en dan wordt ook bij uitloggen netjes de Webcache etc meegenomen.

Enviroment Manager Agent 10.1 FR1 breaks Microsoft Edge

I am currently working on our first Windows 10 build for XenDesktop with AppSense EM. I have a new image built with Windows 10 1709 and everything is working as expected up to the point of installing EM. I have the deployment agent installed and connected to our management server, and it successfully deploys the software, but once rebooted, Microsoft Edge hangs and crashes with multiple DCOM errors in the event logs. Upon uninstalling EM and rebooting again, Edge returns to normal functionality. Trying to determine if this is a known issue or what might be causing this behavior as Edge is heavily used in our environment. Any insight or advice is appreciated.

Abgesang auf DSM - EOL 2020 ???

Hallo,

 

kann hier jemand was genaueres kommunizieren wie es mit DSM weitergeht!

Es machen bereits einige Parnter Werbung mit Migrationsprojekte von DSM zu SCCM.

Es scheint so als würde ivanti DSM nicht mehr weiter entwickeln was so auch anscheinend beschlossen wurde.

Was ist das offizielle Nachfolge Produkt vom ivanti?  EPM?  Was kann das ? Welche Teile von DSM werden übernommen?

Wohin sollen die DSM Kunden Migriert werden?

Ziel kann es ja nicht sein dass alle DSM Kunden zu SCCM wechseln....?

Localisation of Times and Dates in Ivanti DSM escript

Hello,

 

we got many locations with different time zones.

Using a variable (Type: Datetime) we are defining a local time. Example:: 29.09.2017 20:40:01
In our escript this times are shown as UTC. Example: 2017-09-29T18:40:09Z
eScript:
Set('_ScheduledReboot','%CurrentComputer.Var.CustomSettings.ScheduleReboot%')

 

We then reformate and localize these using VBS which gets very messy. But we need the time in the respective timezone it was set in as the variable is used to control the reboot of the computer.

 

Is there a way to do the localization and format in escript? Are there maybe some best practices to do so?

AMC Computers view not grouped

Hello everyone!
In version 8 of the Management Center, the clients were grouped together in a deployment group under Computers. Is this also possible in version 10?
In version 10, all computers are displayed in a list without grouping.

e.g.: Computers in this deployment Group and Computers discoverd by membership rules in this deployment group

Statistik über die Benutzung Heat Remote

Hallo zusammen.

 

Gibt es eine einfache Möglichkeit eine Statistik über die Benutzung von Heat Remote zu bekommen. Zentral habe ich nur auf dem BLS die Logs gefunden, da ist es aber recht müßig jede einzelne Connection herauszufiltern. Mir geht es weniger darum, wer oder wie lange, es würde schon reichen zu ermitteln am Tag X wurden 27 Remote-Connections initiiert. Hat da jemand eine Idee?

Error: Unhandled system exception: Failed to load TenantAssetDataMap.The element  may only appear once in this section. (C:\Program Files\HEAT Software\HEAT\AppServer\web.config line 1059)

Checked web.config file - not sure how to troubleshoot.

UWP App-Update via command line starten/triggern?

Hi zusammen,

ich hätte da mal eine nicht DSM-Frage zu dem MS  Store und dem automatischen Triggern von App-Updates.

Gibt es irgendwie die Möglichkeit, vorinstallierte UWP-Apps, die bereits auf einem Clients installiert sind (z.B. Karten, Paint 3D), via Command-Line über den installierten Store zu aktualisieren?

Über die Windows-Aufgabenplanung habe ich den Task \Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\Automatic App Update bereits gefunden, jedoch macht der explizit nicht das was ich will .

 

Auf die Schnelle habe ich noch Folgendes gefunden:

(Get-WmiObject -Namespace "root\cimv2\mdm\dmmap" -Class "MDM_EnterpriseModernAppManagement_AppManagement01").UpdateScanMethod()

 

bzw.

$namespaceName = "root\cimv2\mdm\dmmap"
$className = "MDM_EnterpriseModernAppManagement_AppManagement01"

Xtraction Report Builder Grouping and Sorting Problems

Hi There - I'm just starting to get my head around the Report Builder tool that comes with Xtraction and am having some problems with the Group and Sort functionality.

 

I've created the following report which works well until I try to group by a particular field. In this case I'm trying to Group by the USR_CHANGETYPE field which I believe I've set up according to the instructions in the Report Builder guide.

 

 

However when I preview or export the results in Xtraction I get the following results. There is only one group and all records are then displayed under that group regardless of the USR_CHANGETYPE value.

 

 

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

 

The Sort functionality also doesn't work for me in the Group and Sort box however I'm assuming this is related to the Grouping issue somehow.

Add/Remove AD Groups from Self Service (Cloud)

Our corporation is interested in driving AD Membership (Groups) via Self Service Mobile.

In order to accomplish that we need a way to action Active Directory from our Cloud Tenant.

 

Has anyone successfully found a way to manage this?

 

Our thoughts were/are to setup a Remote Connection to a Local Server in our Intranet that the Tenant can hit, and leverage Active directory through PowerShell.

Where I'm hitting a call (even if that would work) is how to pass the employee information (UID) to the PowerShell so it knows what account to leverage for the change.

 

Any ideas?

NVMe per WMI erkennen?

Hi Leute,

 

hat hier schon Jemand versucht ein NVMe Drive per WMI zu erkennen? Hintergrund wir haben hier ein Notebook Modell bekommen wo ein NVMe Drive und eine SATA HD eingebaut ist. Die SATA HD ist Physicaldrive 0, welches dann entsprechend von DSM formatiert wird.

 

Jetzt möchte ich in das DSM Partitionierungsskript eine Erkennung einbauen. Wenn Disk1 = NVme set disknumber=1.

 

Ich hab dann mal ein wenig mit dem WMI Explorer experimentiert. Leider wird dort der InterfaceType in der Win32_DiskDrive Klasse als SCSI ausgegeben:

 

 

Man könnte jetzt noch mit PNPDeviceID rum experiemntieren und vielleicht so die Info filtern. Übersteigt dann aber etwas meine Bat Kenntnisse da das ja alles in .BAT sein muss.

 

Habt ihr sowas schon mal versucht?

Hi got this question, if a server are missing, say from MS14-018, to MS18-03-SO81, is it then  required to install all MSXX-XX-XX in between  ? or is it enough to just install ms18-03.SO81
