Does anyone know the current user properties of automated accounts?

 

In other words, when a ticket is created via email, or by voice mail, what do we expect the following to return:

 

  1. CurrentUserInTeam("Service Desk")?
  2. CurrentUserTeamNames()?

 

This knowledge would help better handle custom validations rules and other business rules that may otherwise prevent email messages and voice messages from being able to save incidents.

How do you transfer the AutoFix status of patches from old core to new core?

I would like to transfer the Autofix settings of the patches from the old core to the new core I just installed.  Is there a way to do this without manually selecting patches  and setting autofix to "Global"?  I would prefer to only focus on the Autofix settings.

Endpoint Security: Unix agent 8.3057 seems not to support Red Hat 7.x (while doc says it should). Did I miss something ?

Hi team,

 

We have Ivanti Endpoint Security 8.5.0.20 (8.5 Update 1) installed and I would like to install the agent on our Red Hat 7.4 servers, but face several issues:

  1. The Agent 8.3057 installation worked fine
  2. I see the DAU scan status is "Failed FFFFFFFF"
  3. When clicking on the status, I see
    Last Run Result: STDERR:[/bin/sh: /tmp/update.4595596053691871914.bat: Permission denied]. 
  4. On the client the file exists and has rwx permissions for root only:
    -rwx------. 1 root root 281 May  4 10:27 /tmp/update.4595596053691871914.bat
  5. Actually there is no permission issue, just a script that should either
    1. contain "#!/bin/sh" as a 1st line or
    2. be run with the command "/bin/sh /tmp/update.4595596053691871914.bat", not simply "/tmp/update.4595596053691871914.bat"
  6. Anyway, if I go a little bit further and use one or the other method mentioned above, I can run the update script and get the following failure:
    Unsupported OS 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7 on x86_64
    This is not exactly what I understand from

  7. Actually /tmp/update.4595596053691871914.bat calls /usr/local/patchagent/update/bin/detect, which in turn call /usr/local/patchagent/update/bin/Updatemcescan_Linux
    and in Updatemcescan_Linux, there is a list of supported operating systems:

  8. If I push a little bit further, I see that Updatemcescan_Linux get a file mcescan-1.953-x64.tar.gz from the server, which should contain a file mcescan-x64/mcescan-base-rh7-x64.tar.bz2, but only contains mcescan-x64/mcescan-base-rh6-x64.tar.bz2.

 

So my question is the following: did I miss something or does the Agent 8.3057 really not support RHEL 7 ?

Is there a way to add a date snapshot like an extra field added on any window which captures the date on when the status has changed (different from "Last Updated Date") ?

There may be a better way to do this - please share if so.

 

So I have a business rule on Service Request to store the parameter value and name in the description field - this isn't really used (everything is done from the Parameters) so should be fine. Is there any way to convert the entire field to a csv file?

I think you can export fields individually and use them as headers, but that would put the entire field into one value in the csv which isn't what I am after.

Invoke quick action from dashboard panel

Hi, In my Incident's B.O. I have created a Quick Action (Update quick action) to assign an Incident to an Owner (trough a prompt value)... this quick action works ok from within Incident Layout but, I need to invoke it also on my Dashboard's Open Incident panel. How can I add it? I need to use "My Item quick action" or command list or any other function? Thank you in advance. Fabrizio

Request Offering Workflow not triggered if created via quick action

I managed to create a service request via workflow / quick action. However, the workflow defined for the service request is not started automatically (I could invoke "Re-run Workflow" manually).

What did I miss?

CI - Name Changes Unlink Incidents

I want to get a history on each piece of equipment involved in incidents.  However, the name associated with that piece of equipment will change.  The AssetTag does not change.

Once the name changes, the incidents that were previously linked become unlinked.

The CI in each of these screenshots are the same asset (trust me)... but, as you can see, there are no linked incidents.

 

How can I ensure that the link remains after the name has changed?

How to change the search dropdown results on Incidents workspace

Is it possible to change the dropdown that shows results when you do a search while on the Incidents workspace?  We have been able to update the information that shows up when you search but the size of the dropdown cannot be made any wider and it cuts off most of the Summary, Description and Resolution.
