Requests for specific CI not using custom process as designed.

I am working on creating a very specific request item that when used will follow a different process than other Requests. I have the process built, the request template built, and the configuration item built.On the CI I have told it that it will use this new process I have created. In theory everything is as it should be. The issue I am having is that even when I go to create a new request and select this new request type and save the record, it is being written to the original Request process to follow it's lifecycle as opposed the the custom process specified for that CI. I have checked the display rules to make sure that the "New Request" window wasn't tied to a specific lifecycle, which it sn't. I am not sure where else to check. Something at creation is pointing to the default lifecycle and it is being put there isntead of the CI's specified lifecycle. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have provided some screenshots below for reference. Thank you!

2018.1.1 - How do I remove Software Portal from the Mac Toolbar?

With my new 2018.1.1 agent I now have Software Portal and Portal Manager.  I only want Portal Manager.  How do I configure this?  I can't seem to find these options.  Thanks,

Error upgrading Service Desk Framework

Hello -

 

We're trying to run the upgrade feature on Service Desk Framework in Configuration Center and are getting an error.  The Logon Policy is set to Explicit. Does anyone know how we can get around this?

Ivanti Patch for Windows Upgrade Problem

I recently updated Shavlik 9.2 to Ivanti Patch for Windows Server in an offline network (no Internet). The upgrade seemed to work fine until I tried to deploy patches with it.

 

I am using an Agentless deployment, my machines are a mixture of Server 2012 and Win10/Win7. When I deploy a patch from the Ivanti Patch for Windows console to a workstation and watch the logs on both the server and the workstation what I am seeing is almost like this document:

But with one difference. The patches deployed from the server to the workstation show up in the Propatch folder, however there is nothing being installed. The patches will not install. That document says that the patches are installing. For me they are not.

 

What I do see happening is a Windows scheduled task appear in the list of scheduled tasks that never runs. Nothing actually happens to the workstation. The console is stuck at "Scheduled" without patching anything. Shavlik was working on this network before I upgraded now it is not.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? With 9.2 I never saw anything show in Scheduled Tasks when deploying patches like this before. When I go into scheduled tasks and try and run the deployment manually it will not run. When I try and reinstall the Scheduler on the workstations they say they complete successfully but the problem still exists. What logs can point me in the right direction? Thank you for the help!

Has anyone deployed a macOS Ivanti Agent with Intune?

long story short, we enroll our Mac devices with Intune.  I would like Intune to pass down the Ivanti Agent and then manage inventory, patching, portal, remote control via Ivanti but I cannot get the Ivanti Agent install via Intune.  One reason is because Intune does not support DMG deployment, only a PKG deployment.  When the DMG is converted to a PKG, the agent will not install (assuming because the main PKG is broken down into many other PKGs and it doesn't know how to associate those files).

 

Anyhoot, just wondering if anyone here has successfully deployed an Ivanti Agent with Intune?

Different My Items filters on mobile self service

I am attempting to set a configuration up that I used in Service Desk for Self Service where there is a different section for My Open Tickets and My Closed Tickets. Looking at the My Items gadget of the Mobile Self Service interface, it seems that I get a single My Items gadget with the filtering occurring for both gadgets within the settings section.

 

By this description, it would seem that I am unable to add two My Items gadgets with two different filters on them. Is that correct or is there another way?

Cost Form - New Build

Hi all

 

Looking for some help in building a new form for a new module I've built.

 

Basically we're looking to Capture all cost involved in the module but I'm struggling to articulate it on a form.

 

The information I need to capture is:

 

  • Financial Cost
    • I have created a Number field and used label expression: $(local("Finanical Cost to Implement ") + "(" + CurrentGlobalCurrency() + ") :")
  • Value Gained
    • As above, used the same formula
  • Total Time spent
    • Struggling with this one as I can't use a date/time field as this gives it in a 24 hour format, the only other option is to use a number field but this is in minutes which is not ideal
  • Teams involved
    • Not sure how to do this either as I believe I can only pull in the implementer field, Ideally I'd like to be able to list all the teams that have tasks assigned to them but not sure how to do this.

 

 

My ideal solution would be to have the top 2, then:

Team - Time

Team - Time

Team - Time

 

Total Time.

 

No idea the best way of doing this however....

 

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Updating Contact information from an Excel or CSV file

Hi There,  I have a very old version of Goldmine (8.5.1).  I have Contacts within the database who have been asked some specific questions.  These answers come back to me in an excel format and I would like to import this file into the database but update the existing contact with contact2 data from the excel sheet.  I have searched the web and looked through articles on here and have drawn a blank.  Ideally I would like to match on the email address and then populate the blank fields with the data from the excel sheet.  is there anyone that can advise the easiest way to do this please.  Thanks Andy

Goldmine email issues with hotmail, outlook, msn and live

Good afternoon,

 

 

 

We have been having many issues with hotmail, outlook, msn and live email addresses in that our outgoing emails from Goldmine aren't being delivered, not going to spam, and no return bounceback.  I have begun to investigate why and have started to use Glock Apps to help.  Below is part of a report and I'm hoping that you can help.

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is a method for associating a domain name to an email message, thereby allowing a person, role, or organization to claim some responsibility for the message.

The message was generated by a badly-written mailout program rather than by a normal email client. Use reputable email software, ESP or delivery service to send the email.

I have someserious difficulties to implement AC in our RnD department. They use eclipse, cmake and some other GNU tools. When the service is running it almost doubles the time for compiling.  Has anyone experience with this?

Unable to deploy image to Surface pro

I am having a very hard time getting an image to deploy to a surface pro 3

 

The deploy image handler gives me this error each time.

Task not properly seeing registry value

The registry value resides in WOW6432Node on a Win10 box. My script checks for a property of a key there for a the value to hit 0, when it hits zero a file is made. I have a wait for file task that looks for that other file to continue the provisioning task. This script runs fine when outside of Ivanti but slotting into my task sequence as a Windows Action causes Ivanti to totally skip my value check, create the file and keep moving. Is there something Im missing here?

Delete file from webpage personalization report

Hi,

For our helpdesk users, is it possible to delete a directory or file from the personalization report via the EM webpage?

I can run a personalization anaylsis report from the EM console and delete my directories from there, but do not want to give helpdesk access to this tool. The EM webpage is simpler and more suitable for helpdesk users, but often our App-V 4.6 user cache directories need to be deleted, which will be in personalization DB. This needs to be done on a per app basis rather than remove the whole Windows Settings\App-V 4 group.

Emails linked to Goldmine with a wrong time

Goldmine 2018

Outlook 2016

User is in Mountain Time Zone, all the emails linked from her Outlook are 6 hours ahead (GMT). Emails linked at 4pm MT will show up in Goldmine as 10pm. We have checked the local clock on the user machine, time on the server where Goldmine sits, time on Outlook web and all showing the correct time.

 

Any suggestions on how this might have happened?

Any way for a workflow to not complete when you add an AD HOC task

Wondering if anyone has found a way to add an AD HOC task (outside of the normal WorkFlow) and have the SR Workflow not to complete untill the AD HOC task has been completed.  I know its possible in other systems... so there has got to be a way to make it work in ISM.

Ubuntu und DSM

Hallo zusammen,

 

hat hier jemand bereits Erfahrungen mit DSM in Zusammenspiel mit Ubuntu?

In den neusten Versionen wird Ubuntu ja offiziell unterstützt und kann installiert, mit Paketen bespielt und gepatcht werden.

 

Die Installation war (über Umwege) nur als DriveSnapshotRestore möglich. Das schränkt zwar in so fern ein, als dass man z.B. die Festplattengröße nicht variieren kann, aber es funktioniert zumindest.

Kennt hier jemand eine schönere/komfortablere Lösung?

 

Anschließend habe ich versucht testweise ein Paket auf Ubuntu zu installieren (die manuelle Installation des DSM Clients hat funktioniert).

Leider habe ich es nicht geschafft das Paket auch zum installieren zu bringen, da im Log zwar zu sehen ist, dass die Zuweisung gefunden wurde, anschließend aber die Meldung "No current policy found" kommt.

Hat schon jemand geschafft Pakete auf Ubuntu auszurollen?
