@Hello, we have close to 10000+ machines & users. Most of our users are local admin on their machines. We want to remove them from local administrators group but at the same time want to ensure that they would be able to continue all their work without any disruption. We are planning to deploy appsense agents on these machines with a config which will capture all processes which needs elevated rights. We did pilot on 15 machines and found in Insight console that it captured a whole lot of processes per machine which is not giving us filtered view. We need guidance as how will we capture the settings for all these users and get filtered view of process which we will later include in config.Is there any other tool or something is there which could help us to track this information in filtered view. Firefox 60 ESR
I've had firefox personalized for the last couple years and it's worked fine.
After upgrading to the new GPO supported ESR 60 personalization broke with the application crashing at launch as long as personalization is enabled.
the solution seems to be to move the personlization to windwos settings, but i am hesitant to do that because of how bloated a firefox profile can get.
Has anyone come up with a better solution that can keep personalization on the application side?

Accessing business object data via grandparent/grandchild relationship
Hi all,
I am working on initially configuring our Ivanti Service Manager system and I am having trouble understanding some aspects of business object relationships, so I'm hitting a wall trying to accomplish what I want to do. This is one example of what I'm wanting to do. I created a Site business object and added fields for physical location details such as street address, city and zip code, and technical support team responsible for that site. I then created a N:1 relationship between Department and Site to reflect that a department can only be located at one site, but there can be multiple departments at one site. I created a link field in the Department business object named SiteLink which stores the RecID of the Site record. I then created a form in the Department business object and I am able to add the Site fields via the relationship and see the Site data as expected, so that part works fine. Now, I want to save the department info in the Employee profile records, which I can do via the existing relationship between Employee and Department, but what I can't figure out is how to get the Site data, which is associated to the Department records, to the Employee form, because there's no direct relationship between Employee and Site. I tried creating a relationship between Employee and Site, but I don't get the data I want because of course there's no association between the Employee record and Site record. How can I establish that relationship between Employee and the Site data based on the Department data stored in the Employee record?

iGoldmine not showing Sent email attachments
Hello,
One of my end users discovered an issue with iGoldmine today that I hadn't seen before. This user was working from home using the iGoldmine application. He sent an email to a customer a couple of days ago with a Price Proposal PDF document attached to the email. When this end user goes into his sent mail using iGoldmine, there is no attachment displayed as if he forgot to attach it in the first place. However, when he checks his Gmail account which is linked with Goldmine, the email is there and all of the attachments are as well. I accessed iGoldmine from a few different end user accounts and they were all the same. No one could view the attachments that had been Sent out by the company. In the standard Goldmine everyone can sell all attachments with no issues. For some reason this issue happens only in iGoldmine.
I've poked around the forums and other sites a good bit trying to find a fix for this but have been unsuccessful. Any help would be much appreciated.

Silverlight Plugin Problems
I'm having a couple of issues with browsers with Ivanti Endpoint Security installed on Windows 2012 R2.
When I open with Chrome and go to tools>Launch Installation manager I prompted to install Microsoft Silverlight which is already installed. There no longer seems to be the option to enable napapi pulgins.
When I use IE, Edge or Firefox I'm having Secure connection failed errors so I can't use those until I can figure out that issue.

Recent documents in office 2016 (16.0) not showing
We save the registry of our users during logon. We can see that the keys associated with recent files in office are indeed captured by Ivanti Appsense. (personalization Analysis --> edit users registry)
they are stored in the following key:

When the user logs on next time, recent files do not show in the office application and the registry setting is not present in the users registry. Other settings are remembered and loaded correctly.

Recover a deleted object in a module.
2016.3 Under the knowledge base, In my process, I want to use a reject button like the one under request. When I go to the object designer I do not see a rejection object under Knowledgebase. When I try to create one it gives me an error sating cannot create an object with the same name This leads me to believe that the rejection object at some point was deleted my question is, how do I query for soft deletions of objects? I have been searching all day as to where exactly do they live and can't find them. Thanks

Cannot login to console due to response level escalation error
Hi,
How do I solve this problem of unable to login to console?
I was deleting default escalation in the response level when suddenly the Status Escalation error above appeared and the console was hang(not responding).
So when I relogin to the console, that error appeared in login box(as picture above).
Is there any script that I need to run to fix this?

SLA not running on request management
We have a few SLAs set up within our Service Desk, a few on Incident and one or two on Request - the SLAs on Incident are running without issue.
Our SLAs are different and do completely different things however both run on the same calendar. The request SLA is set up to send reminders to approvers that they have not yet approved a request, as per the image below. For some reason this does not appear to be firing at all - any guidance? It is the default response level on Request using the default calendar.
As the incident SLA is working as normal I know background services are working as expected. We are on version 2017.3.

Actions disappearing from WebAccess
Hello,
I am currently experiencing a strange behavior where an action created in a custom module keeps disappearing for users. When this happens, I have done IIS resets on the web servers as well as purged all the temporary web files from the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files directory. While this seems to correct the issue briefly, the same thing keeps happening again and again where the action will disappear. Sometimes it happens between browsers where it will disappear in IE and appear fine in Chrome, but then other times it will be missing from both. I am curious if anyone else has seen this happen before and if there is something I can do to get around it. Any and all tips or advice are appreciated. Thank you!

Inbound mail service stops processing messages but still marks them as Read - what's happening?

This is happening to us frequently. We have several mailboxes set up to handle emails from a number of sources. Every so often (seems at least 3-4 times a week) we are having to restart our inbound mail queue and mark messages as unread. Once we've done that, they process fine, and incidents are created as per our process/mappings etc. However, it's causing problems for us because we can't continually monitor the mailbox to check everything is processing, and we're finding that support staff in other parts of the organisation are alerting us to the problem, which makes the system look bad in their eyes. Can anyone help?
Any suggestions appreciated (except turning off incoming email - unfortunately I have already lost that battle!).

Erfahrungen DSM 2018.1
Hallo zusammen,
ich möchte mit dem Thread den Austausch anstoßen zur DSM 2018.1. Ist ja sehr ruhig hier was diese Version betrifft.
Bisher haben wir nur wenige Umgebungen auf diese Version upgedatet. Hier die bisherigen Auffälligkeiten:
- In einer Umgebung funktionieren die Ausschlüsse von Patchen nicht über die definierten Kategorien. Call ist offen.
- In einer Umgebung lieferte der Update Manager bei den Management Points immer Timeout. Update hat jedoch funktioniert. Wir mussten nur händisch überprüfen ob das Update funktioniert hat. Hat soweit auch alles funktioniert. Call ist offen.
Ansonsten sind die ganze DSMC Anzeigefehler aus der DSM 2017 behoben. Und auch sonst funktioniert die DSM 2018.1 bisher sehr gut.
Bitte teilt uns auch eure Erfahrungen mit dieser Version.

I want to do business object from SAP data, but not finding any example how to request/respond data from SAP wsdl.
If i try to add sap wsdl to service reference - I'm getting an error with metadata:

Inspect not working on Windows 7 machines
We have recently installed Ivanti EPM 2017.3. (I have not got as far as installing any SU's yest)
We have begun to roll out new Windows 10 PC's along side our current Windows 7 PC's and all devices have now had a new agent built from the new EPM 2017.3 server installed.
Pretty much everything seems to be working fine but if we right clikc a Windows 7 device in the console and select Inspect the window states that real time moitoring is not enabled. I can see in the agent though that it is.
This is the same agent on the Windows 10 PC's and Inspect works fine on those.
Inspect worked on the Windows 7 PC's before we upgraded to 2017.3 from 2016.3 so I am unsure why this would stop working now.
The only thing that has changed is the new server and the new agnet on all the PC's.
Anyone any thoughts why itwould pick on Windows 7 PC's?

Invoke web service script
Hello, I'm trying to create a small script that will eventually be called from a triggered action. I'm wanting to call a 3rd party API that is REST based. I have the 3rd party application running on a local internal server and I can access it directly. I am now trying to call the application from a HEAT script with the following:

I'm stuck on where to go from here. Is there somewhere where I can manually run this and see the output?
Notes:
- I've tried creating a simple trigger (business objects > incident > business rules > triggered actions) to fire when the subject is changed. See screenshot:

- The triggered action is set with an "action rule type" of "web service script (beta), where I've entered my script above. However when I create or edit an incident I don't see anything hitting the server where the 3rd party app is running
- I've set script logging (application logs > logging configuration) to "all"
- Version we are running is HEAT 2016.2.1000.21143 @ 1/23/2017

EMSS deployment behavior option
Hi
We have emss 8.5.0.10 with patch and remediation module.
When we deploy a custom build package, the deployment behavior option is grey out for all icons. Why is that so? We wanted to use the reboot option here so that the emss agt will throw out notice to the user and give them the option to delay the reboot, rather than coding the shutdown /r command in the bat.
Help is much appreciated.

Creating custom packages in Content Wizard / EMSS
Hi guys,
I've been playing around with the Content Wizard, which outside of Windows patching we use for minor deployments (small custom applications with a registry fingerprint that we can track installed status). Currently if we want to get specific information about the endpoints back (say for example the Guest account being disabled), we have to run a command line operation and FTP the results off the endpoint to a server in our DMZ.
Does anyone have experience with creating packages that can send responses back to the EMSS server so we can avoid using FTP and just get some sort of feedback if an endpoint isn't configured correctly?
My organization just upgraded to EMSS / Airgap 8.5U2 (for point of reference, not related to the question).
