Related Items : how it works

Hello ,

 

I want to understand how work "related items"

When I wrote a string on "summary" field , search using only description  I find only one knwoledge

 

 

If i wrote this same string on knowledge i see seven article .

 

Did Related items search only "egal to" or "contains to" ?

How change this ?

Sort by hidden column

Hi -

 

One of our departments previously wanted a target date field in a specific format so I added a new text field to copy there in the specified format. They would now like to sort by that field but I obviously cant sort correctly in the text format so need to use the date field but do not want to show this on the list.

 

Does anyone know if there is a way to sort by a hidden column on a list?

Mail quickaction, filter attachment

Hi,

 

It's possible to attach all attachments of an object to a SendMail Quick Action and you can also filter the source object.

 

I'd like to apply a filter on the attachment to only attach one specific document by his name, do you know any way to do that ?

Using prices from Picklist in Request Offering

Hi everybody,

 

we have a problem with the prices in Request Offerings.

 

If the checkbox "Use Price List" is activated in a Request Offering, I cannot select a Price field for a DropDown field in the PickList tab. Only "None" is displayed. If the checkbox "Use Price List" is deactivated, it is possible to select a price field.

My idea was to activate the checkbox "Use Price List" only after I selected the price field. That has worked so far. However, no cost item is generated for the corresponding service request, which is absolutely necessary in our case.

 

 

Does anyone have a solution?

PolicyInstance Error

Hi everyone,

 

we have some trouble with the HEAT DSM Integration and our CI objects. The CI workspace is filled via discovery.

When I want to open a Ci object I get the following error message.

 

 

Furthermore, this error message also appears.

 

 

The following error messages appear in the logs. I have inserted one as an example.

For me it looks like the message size to be sent from DSM to ISM is too large and therefore the transmission is aborted. Is it possible to increase the MaxReceivedMessageSize?

 

Due to this problem, our automatic software installation via request offerings does not work either. The installation is executed on the computer, but ISM does not receive any confirmation from DSM if the installation was successful.

 

We are using Ivanti Service Manager - 2017.2.1000.27030

 

Can anyone help or even know a solution for this problem?

Add pictures for each employee

I'm trying to figure out how to import pictures for each employee. We have them both in AD and SharePoint, and now I want to import these pictures to HEAT. Then I would like to display this picture both in the employee record, in an incident when linking a customer and next to your name where you pick your role. By the way, we are running HEAT SM 2015.2.1.1.

 

When I change my picture my self manually where is it stored? In the EmployeePhoto column in the Contact Contract table? I'm trying to use this conditional images thing.

Windows 10 Mandatory Profile

I am not sure if anyone else plan on doing this but has anyone fully deployed Windows 10 mandatory profiles? Also, did Ivanti wrote any articles on the how to? I have been looking and waiting but I haven't found anything thus far.


Dell Hardware Driver Scanning

I must be missing some part of the scan job because none of our computers are scanned for hardware drivers. Is there something I could be missing in Agent config or some way of adding hardware driver scans to inventory scanner?

precondition in task based on action in parent process

I have an approval workflow based on incoming mails, which creates a note in the main process.

 

So in case the precondition is already fullfilled when  opening the  task, the precondition is fired and the task status switches to approved.

But if the task is opened before the precondition is fullfilled, the task status does not change when an incoming mail has created the note.

 

But i need the approval in the task based on a new note in the main process.

 

Any ideas how i can solve this?

Windows 10 Tiles empty with res10tiles.xml filled

Quick environment info:

- Ivanti workspace control 10.2.9

     * using "Custom Resources" with "DefaultTileLayout_Windows10.xml" file
- Windows 10, v1709 with latest windows updates

- Desktop shell configured "Use Microsoft Windows Shell as the default Shell"

- non-persistent VDI

- Users have "Modify" NTFS permissions in own userprofile (\RES Settings)

- No GPO configuration for Start Menu

 

Issue is that the "res10tiles.xml" file is not loaded correctly.

The "DefaultTileLayout_Windows10.xml" is loaded correctly when the res10tiles.xml file isn't in .".\RES Settings\".

The moment you logoff, "res10tiles.xml" is created in the "..\RES Settings\" folder and the file is filled with the information of the "DefaultTileLayout_Windows10.xml". (That works fine)
When you logon and the Ivanti Workspace control agent has loaded all the settings completley, your tiles in the "Start Menu" is "empty", but the "res10tiles.xml" filled.

If you logoff the "res10tiles.xml" is modified, and empty because the Tiles in the Start Menu or Empty, so your in  a loop.

 

LOOP:

Tiles filled in Start Menu,  log off, "res10tiles.xml" is filled, log on, Tiles empty in Start Menu, "res10tiles.xml" is still filled, log off, "res10tiles.xml" is empty, logon, Tiles empty in Start Menu.

 

 

Is there a solutions for this, or does someone else have the same issues?

Filter to pull newer/active email addresses?

We have a database that is LOADED with thousands of accounts that are dead.  Is there a way to filter and run a report on accounts that have actually had some activity in the last 5 years?  I am looking to export somewhat recent email addresses to load into Constant Contact and don't want to load thousands that are dead in the water, but I have no idea how to pull that data.  I do have a filter that pulls emails created on or after a certain date, but that's only ones that are created, and wouldn't include the email addresses that were created before such-and-such a date, but are still being used and active.  I hope this make sense!  Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can offer! 

Hidden Expression in Request Offering

Hello everyone,

 

In a request offering I would like to make articles visible for users depending on the org unit. For example, almost all users around the world should be able to see 3 articles. In South Africa, however, we have a restriction and users should only be able to see two articles.

 

We have structured our Org Unit according to countries and cities. Each user is assigned to a city. The cities are assigned to a country.

 

How can I realize in a request offering that only two articles can be seen for users in South Africa?

 

I realize that I could build a logic for each city using the CurrentUserOrganizationalUnitName() function, but I'm looking for an easier way. Is it possible to search for the child objects of a Org Unit in an expression?

I created a 3 column form and placed a combo box, text box, and check box in a row.  There is all this white space in between the objects.  How can I remove this white space?

How do you want to open this file when opening PDF while extention is associated with application

When a user opens a pdf in explorer on Windows server 2016 it displays the "How do you want to open this file" while there is a PDF application already associated with the pdf extention.

It happens in 10.2.700.1 and in 10.2.900.1


APM - viele Patch Pakete schlagen fehl

Hi Leute,

 

wir haben hier ein Problem seit dem wir auf APM gewechselt haben. Wir sind auf DSM 2017.1.4350.

 

Wir haben unter dem Konfigurationsreiter festgelegt das Patch Installation 3x wiederholt werden. Jetzt haben wir auf sehr vielen Clients das unterschiedliche Patche auf rot gehen ohne Rückgabe Meldung:

 

Startet man den PC neu und setzt die Pakete auf reinstall gehen die Pakete plötzlich auf "Not applicable, superseded or fixed externally". Spannend dabei, wenn die Pakete ja rot sind, sind sie ja schon 3x versucht worden zu installieren. Von einer anderen Quelle werden definitiv keine Updates installiert. WSUS ist nicht vorhanden und Windows Updates komplett deaktiviert. Auch hab ich das nochmal auf den Testclients geprüft ob die GPO wirklich zieht. Die Windows Updates sind aus.

 

In den Logs werden die Pakete teilweise auf "complete" gemeldet und trotzdem gehen die Pakete auf gelb oder rot.

 

Ich hab ebenfalls beobachtet das Pakete grün geloggt werden. Wenn der PC dann nicht direkt neugestartet wird und das APM erneut los läuft, gehen die Pakete plötzlich wieder auf reinstall und projezieren dieses Verhalten.

 

Hat hier Jemand ähnlich Probleme?

B2B connector for SHI or Concur

My company uses a vendor named SHI for all of our purchases. Is there a connector in place or can one be added? 

 

We create PO's  we use Concur is there a connector available for them so we can populate internal information such as approvals.

Capturing Personalization for Active Directory Admin Center

Hi all,

 

I'm working to set up personalization capturing for the AD Admin Center app in Citrix XenApp 7.15LTSR.  The first issue I ran into was that Data Collection wasn't recognizing the executable file when launching the app so I had to look into things manually.  I was able to find that the executable that runs is dsac.exe and is location in the System32 folder.

After running some scans I was able to find the following Registry key and AppData folders that seemed to be altered when the application was run and customizations were made.

After making these edits and testing it out I can see these files and registry entries being added to Citrix Profiles, but when launching the app again it doesn't replicate that personalization.  I'm wondering if maybe it's related to the fact that Data Collection wasn't seeing the .exe, maybe Ivanti isn't recognizing when the application is running an thus isn't applying personalization to the session?  Any thoughts would be helpful.

is there a way for management center to deploy the client communication agent (CCA) fully automatically?

 

documentation only says:

  1. Navigate to Deployment Groups> [Deployment Group] > Computers.
  2. Select the computer you want to deploy to and select Install Deployment Agent from the Actions panel.

 

but that means i have to click on "Install Deployment Agent" - we have 1100 machines where i want to deploy the agent to and they are not always online on the exact moment i press on that button
