Problem Installing Goldmine on Server 2012

So I installed Goldmine 2016.1.0.179 on a Windows 2012 server and thought all went well until I logged in.

 

The username I gave to Goldmine was JJV and I entered a password

I was not able to log in.

I deleted the password and left it blank and I was able to log in but without master rights.

 

Reviewing my notes, I allowed the installation to create user accounts based on the windows users.

I think the problem is that JJV was also a user as was mm.

 

Figuring that was the problem, I deleted the goldmine database in SQL and uninstalled Goldmine, including deleting the folder, running CCleaner and restarting.

 

When I now run setup, I am no longer given the option to create a master user nor to create user accounts based on windows user.

The installation completes and a new goldmine database is created

 

Now JJV and mm are no longer valid usernames.

 

Any advice on how to fix this?

Schedule Manager - reports keep running and sending emails

I have eight reports that are scheduled to run once a day at different times. For some reason, the reports have started to run every two minutes, emailing the results. Additionally, the list of receipients have changed.

 

I've not touched the Schedule Manager for months so am wondering why I'm getting so much trouble.

Outlook 2016 (Office 365) crashes

We're running GM Premium  2016.1.0.188 w/ the Outlook link and recently Outlook has started crashing on some machines (3-W7, 1-W10 - All installs are under 32 bit)  The only thing that seems to be common is that these machines are also running the latest version of Quickbooks Enterprise - 2018.

 

Other computers in the office that do not run QB and link GM and Outlook run fine.  The problem seems to have begun after we upgraded QB to the current version.

Looking for Business Object to track work space (e.g, office vs cubicle vs training room) information

I am looking to either create or update an object to track information about a particular space (office, cubicle, training room etc.)  I want to track the CIs that are assigned to that space rather than those that are assigned to a particular person.  For instance, we give a laptop to a person; however, a phone stays with the space.  This space would have an address (office#), floor, type (office, cubicle).

 

I'm inclined to create a new object; however, if there is somewhere within the system that already exists, I'd prefer to start there.

 

Has anyone done this and did you start from scratch or did you start with an existing business object?  What types of things do you track in this space?

 

Any guidance would be helpful.

BLS von MS Server 2008 nach 2012R2

Hallo,

hat schon jemand einen BLS von 2008 nach 2012R2 migriert?

 

DSM hat die Version 2018.1 und der Server jetzt 2012R2. Beim Starten der DSMC kommt eine Benutzerabfrage (Es werden aber keine Anmeldungen angekommen). Wird die Anmeldung abgebrochen, so komme ich zumindest in die Infrastruktur.

Versuche ich in die Organisation zu wechseln, so erscheint erneut die Anmeldung. Hat jemand eine Idee? Werden mit 2012R2 die IIS Einstellungen geändert?

Es spielt keine Rolle von wo die DSMC ausgerufen wird.

Is it possible to delete all notes in an account?

We are switching to using the "Notes" section to "History" as we should have been, and I'd like to delete the notes that are saved under certain accounts because they are taking an extremely long time to load.  Is it possible to delete all or more than one note at a time, or does each note have to be deleted individually?

Xtraction scheduled dashboard screenshot

Hi,

I'm running Xtraction  2017.2.0628.01

I've got a Dashboard setup for a team and looks good on screen however when I've set it up to be a scheduled report it separates each box on to a different page and it is not as useful to view (first 4 pages have one number on them).

Is there anyway to set a scheduled email of the Dashboard screenshot or a way of adjusting the report to look smarter?

Cannot image new machines

We have started ordering Dell Precision T7820's.  We downloaded the driver cab for it and put the drivers in the driver store, rebuilt the driver database, and did an auto-detect and assign drivers for the T7820's.  All good so far.  Then we went to image the first machine (Windows 10, 64 bit), and once it begins to load windows, it blue screens.  The problem is with amdkmpfd.sys (system thread exception not handled).  OK, so we go into assign driver, find where that driver is assigned (in this case, PCI Exrpess Root Complex), and remove that one driver.  Then we try imaging again, and windows still blue screens on that same driver.  I am at a loss as to how it is blue screening on a driver that isn't even being used at this point.  Am I missing something with removing the driver?  How do I get Endpoint Manager to stop loading this bad driver into the image?  Should I remove the driver entirely from the driver store?  I am just worried that may cause issue with other PC models.

 

We are on ivanti Management Console version 11.0.0.164

avalanche takes several hours to show new deployed device

We see long delays seeing a new device in Avalanche after the device has contacted avalanche and packages have been deployed to device. This only seems to happen late in afternoon and evening.

Is anyone able to successfully use the "Apple Warranty Info" web rule in Data Analytics?

Once upon a time, the Apple Warranty Info rule worked for our organization.  At some point, I assume with an API change, that stopped.  I can use teh URL in the rule to check a device and return warranty in a browser, but the rule does not work.  ANy ideas are appreciated.  We are way back in LDMS 2016 (10.1.0.168) using Data Analytics.

Incident Activity History in Self Service doesn't include task notes but they are listed in Incident Layout (IncidentLayout.ServiceDesk) - Activity History tab

We've noticed that when he Activity History is displayed on a Self Service Incident form (Incident.WebSelfService.Edit), notes from tasks associated with the incident don't display but when that incident is viewed from the IncidentLayout.Service Desk) layout on the Activity History tab, they do.   Both instances use the same relationship (Incident Contains Journal).  Is there a way to have the task notes display in Self Service?

Question about Importing items onto Service Desk/Asset Management

Is there a way for Service Desk/Asset Management to determine or compare items that have been already entered manually and items imported from Management Suite? When a person enters a new item on Service Desk/Asset Management, is there a way to auto-populate the rest of the fields assuming it grabs the rest of the information from Management Suite

Hi,

 

I am in the process of setting up a multilingual instance of ISM for a customer and have already come across some limitations, the biggest one being that emails are not localised requiring duplication of business rules and actions etc.

 

I really want to know if anyone has been able to do this successfully and what are the main things to look out for/the workarounds you have had to implementT

The option selected is the Multiple server deployment and the target landscape is staging. Under the Set Up Connection, configuration database server is named configdb_stg and through SQL Authentication. After filling all the required information, when select next to proceed with the Configuration Application, we encountered the error message as stated in the message box.

 

Please advise on this error as we check the credential privilege it is given the relevant server roles that is dbcreator, public and securityadmin.

Cannot Select Instance for IvantiSM database in Push - Ops Console

I had created three sql server instances in one development database server as in Option D7 diagram. My plan is to split the databases exactly as in diagram.

The instances are:

  1. SQLCONFIGDB - This instance will have ConfigDB STG, ConfigDB UAT, Metrics CacheDB databases.
  2. SQLIVANTISMSTG - this instance will have IvantiSM STG and ReportDB STG databases.
  3. SQLIVANTISMUAT - This instance will have IvantiSM UAT and ReportDB UAT databases.

 

When do Push in Ops Console from Production to Staging, there is no option to select the staging instance (SQLIVANTISMSTG). The target DB Server only list the configdb instance. When completed, The IvantiSM database had been created under SQLCONFIGDB instance instead in staging instance.

 

Do I miss some steps?

OSD Destination Partition

Hi,

 

I am using OSD to deploy Windows 10. I am using the Microsoft partition scheme with 4 partitions: System, MSR, Windows and Recovery.

Unfortunately OSD always tries to install windows in to the first partition. Since this partition is too small (260MB), the installation fails.

How can I define the destination partition ?

unable to complete update on WT41N0

After upgrading to Avalanche 6.2.2.197 we are not able to deploy Telnet packages successfully to our WT41N0 devices. We get an "Unable to complete update" on the device and the status in Avalanche stays "Update Pending". Not sure if this affects the WT4090 as we have not tried that.

Deploy Advance agent via GPO

i tried configuring it by deploying a software the GPO applies but nothing happens.
