LDMS 9.6 (SP3) Console installation media

Could someone please tell me where (if at all) the installation (setup.exe?) file/media may be on a LDMS 9.6 SP3 core server?

 

I'm hoping that it's lurking around somewhere so I can install the console software on a new management PC. If it helps, on my existing management PC the installed program that I run is "C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\Console.exe".

Automation 2018.2 Dispatcher+ not downloading updates from MasterDispatcher

Hi

 

I have just recently upgraded our environment from ROA 10.2 to IA 2018.2 and today I uploaded new MSI file to Resources via console. When I tried push deployment of this MSI file to test PC it has failed because MSI file was not found on our local Dispatcher. This Dispatcher is online in the console and it is configured to cache data from 2 MasterDispatchers running on central site.

 

After I checked couple Dispatchers I found, that 2 MasterDispatchers, which are connected directly to MS SQL database, got the resource cached correctly, while normal Dispatchers which are connected to 2 MasterDispatchers didn't cache it. I tried restart Dispatcher service, but it made no difference. As the last attempt I removed information about connection to MasterDispatchers and let the Dispatcher connect directly to MS SQL and few minutes after restart of the service I saw new MSI file correctly cached and deployment works.

 

Is there some change of the Master Caching feature in IA 2018.2 which I overlooked, is it bug, or did I anything wrong during the upgrade?

Where is the list of folder locations that have been manually set to 'sync' stored?

Using DataNow 4.1, end users can right click a folder and within the DataNow menu select 'sync'.

 

Is this folder name stored in a central place in that user's profile as I can't find it in the registry?

 

Just wanting to have an audit of which users have synced their folders for offline access please.

Inspect not working on Windows 7 machines

We have recently installed Ivanti EPM 2017.3.  (I have not got as far as installing any SU's yest)

 

We have begun to roll out new Windows 10 PC's along side our current Windows 7 PC's and all devices have now had a new agent built from the new EPM 2017.3 server installed.

 

Pretty much everything seems to be working fine but if we right clikc a Windows 7 device in the console and select Inspect the window states that real time moitoring is not enabled.  I can see in the agent though that it is.

 

This is the same agent on the Windows 10 PC's and Inspect works fine on those.

 

Inspect worked on the Windows 7 PC's before we upgraded to 2017.3 from 2016.3 so I am unsure why this would stop working now.

 

The only thing that has changed is the new server and the new agnet on all the PC's.

 

Anyone any thoughts why itwould pick on Windows 7 PC's?

Approval from selected user on service request

Hello,

 

Trying to get a "selected" user to be approve the request that has been raised.

 

I have of my form a field that is linked to a list of all users. I have then linked this in the workflow get approval block so to me everything seems to be fine... However when a user requests the item, the workflow kicks off and everythings runs as it should. The approval is created but does not attach the owner that was selected from the form

 

 

I have tried it by setting the User (as above) and that does work so I know my workflow is working. So any help on this would be great.

Bij het inloggen worden er een aantal printers gekoppeld. Echter lopen alle printers vanaf dezelfde printserver fout.

Analyse geeft de melding ERROR: 87 - De parameter is onjuist weer.

 

Medewerker opnieuw laten inloggen, dan gaan er wel een groot aantal printers goed. Maar niet allemaal.

Wat houdt deze error 87 in? En hoe kan dit opgelost worden?

Problems with HII (Dell Optiplex 5050 - USB-Driver)

I have a problem with HII on the Dell Optiplex 5050.

  

With four out of ten identical computers, the HII ran smoothly.

Then in provsisioning no USB driver was installed.

(After aborting, the existing driver on the core could be easily installed)

Also the driver assignment in the HII-drivermanagement brought no improvement

Annotation:

Im using Ivanti 2017.3 SU3 (SU5) and i have to use USB-boot - for a variety of reasons

There are ten identical computers, no changes were made to the template or the driver location or otherwise, the drivers are the same from the beginning. 

Troubleshooting:

The log files from the HII and Provisioning show that all required drivers were successfully copied to C:\Windows\LDDriverStore\DELL_Optiplex_5050\chipssatz\...

BUT the driver was missing.

Workaround: 

Before the step HII in the provisionig template, I now manually copy the USB driver to C:\Windows\LDDriverStore\chipset\...

It is no longer HII, but I can finish the provisioning    

 

Does anyone have an idea what this may be?

and how to fix it?

Pakete und software-Set exportieren, nur aktuelle Revision?

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich möchte ein paar Pakete inkl. der Software-Sets exportieren. Hierbei würde eigentlich der aktuelle Stand reichen. Beim Export kann ich hier nichts angeben. Gibt es da eine Möglichkeit?

 

Die einzigen beiden Punkte, die mir einfallen, wären

- alte Revisionen löschen

- Pakete und Sets kopieren, neu distributieren und dann exportieren

Erfahrungen DSM 2018.1

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich möchte mit dem Thread den Austausch anstoßen zur DSM 2018.1. Ist ja sehr ruhig hier was diese Version betrifft.

 

Bisher haben wir nur wenige Umgebungen auf diese Version upgedatet. Hier die bisherigen Auffälligkeiten:

 

  1. In einer Umgebung funktionieren die Ausschlüsse von Patchen nicht über die definierten Kategorien. Call ist offen.
  2. In einer Umgebung lieferte der Update Manager bei den Management Points immer Timeout. Update hat jedoch funktioniert. Wir mussten nur händisch überprüfen ob das Update funktioniert hat. Hat soweit auch alles funktioniert. Call ist offen.

 

Ansonsten sind die ganze DSMC Anzeigefehler aus der DSM 2017 behoben. Und auch sonst funktioniert die DSM 2018.1 bisher sehr gut.

 

Bitte teilt uns auch eure Erfahrungen mit dieser Version.

Hi

 

Anyone ever seen this error message before and know what it means?

 

ERROR: Error when evaluating expression: Wrong number of arguments passed to function GetSRPValue. Expected 2; got 3.

 

Context - I'm getting some information from paramaters in a Service request and putting it into an email for approval:

 

Dear $(Owner),

Your approval is required for Service Request# $([FRS_Approval#.][ServiceReq#.]ServiceReqNumber).

 

First Name: $([FRS_Approval#.][ServiceReq#.].GetSRPValue(RecId, "EmployeeStarterRequestFirstName"))

 

The above is the error I got on the email when it came through.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

2018.3 - Download and Windows Server 2016

I see on the download page that 2018.3 was scheduled for release on 8/31/2018 but I'm still not seeing the link yet. Is this being delayed?

 

Is the new version going to officially support Windows Server 2016 and MS SQL 2016? I would like to upgrade all my on premise servers to 2016 when I go to Service Manager 2018.1.1 but I don't see that IPCM officially supports it yet.

Email communications from an prior email replacing the from address (reply, reply all, forward)

When we open a ticket in the system as an analyst we have the ability to view prior email communications that have been sent regarding the ticket.

At the top of the prior communications are buttons to reply, reply all and forward.

Clicking any of those will replace the from address with the analysts email address.

We don't have our system setup to route emails as analysts, instead it can only route from our main service desk email address. Secondly, we would prefer to have these emails come from the service desk email account so that any replies to these emails can be tracked through the listener.

 

2 options which I was hoping to get some advice on:

1) is there a way to remove the reply, reply all and forward buttons from the top of the prior communications?

2) is there a way to default the from address when using the reply, reply all and forward buttons to be the service desk system email?
