Service Request Editing

$

Hi

I am editing a Service Request in Self Service Mobile, when resubmitting the Req it gives the error "An item with the same key already added" and then crashes.

If I then go into my items, the update has however been added.

Any idea on how I can get rid of this? It's not a good user experience.

Thanks
Dan

What causes "Call record doesn’t exist or you have no access to it.” error?

I have two users that are unable to access a couple of specific calls via the search.

It generates the "Call record doesn’t exist or you have no access to it.”  error

The only cause I know for this is when copy and pasting a ticket number from an email, it may add space at the end which will cause this error.

Both users are connected with VPN, but are able to work in Call Logging without any other problems and are able to access other calls.

Hi Experts,

We are looking to implement AppSense Desktop Now 10.1 from the ground up and intend to place the EM Management and Personalization Servers in the Primary and DR datacenter behind an F5 LB in an Active-Active Setup.

Do we have some best practice recommendations?https://www.htguk.com/configuring-citrix-netscalers-for-load/

I have been through the below links:https://www.htguk.com/configuring-citrix-netscalers-for-load/

While they are excellent I am looking for some deeper dive from the community incase there is some experience.

Any help or guidance will be much appreciated.

Forcing provisioning to create a GPT

With the newest model of Dell laptop (Precision 7730) we have been having a bear of a time getting provisioning working, in part because the 32 bit Dell NIC drivers do not work if we use the legacy PXE boot option (which Dell has been zero help in).  To get around this, we are UEFI booting off a thumbdrive that has the boot.wim on it.  This works great, until the computer reboots, planning to go into Windows.  At this point, there is no Windows Boot manager, and we have no way to boot into the Windows installation we just put on the machine.  It seems the problem is because the provisioning job is creating an MBR instead of a GPT.  We are using the automatic "create partition" action, which says it will use GPT if it sees we are in UEFI, but it only ever uses MBR instead.

My question is, is there a way to force the job to use GPT instead of MBR?  If not, how do manually set up the GPT configuration?

Alternatively, if anyone knows what  can use for a NIC driver to get legacy boot to work on these Dell Precision 7730's, I would be happy with that as well (legacy boot works fine on our other Dell laptops and desktops).  We are using the latest 32bit Dell WinPE driver pack.

Thanks!

Service Request Notification Email - Show Specific Parameter

When filling out a Service Request (SR), I want the parameters page to contain all of the pertinent data for the issue.

However, when that SR is assigned to a team for resolution, I would like to include someof the details in the notification email.

I've attempted to use the workflow for this purpose.  The first Update in the workflow moves the data contained in the Description field on the Parameters tab to the Symptom (Description) field, which then shows in the Description field within the Details tab.

The second update performs a similar task, sending the RequestType parameter to the Summary field.

Unfortunately, the email that is generated must occur before the workflow starts (or completes?); although the notification includes the $(Symptom) field, it will show as a empty field.

Here is an example of the email received:

How can I include this information on the notification email while only requiring the customer to fill out the parameters page?

Is there a way to determine what a Join block is waiting for?

I have a complex workflow behind a request offering that is getting stuck on a Join block. I am trying to work out exactly which part of the workflow is causing this issue as all the expected tasks have completed (i.e. viewing the workflow instance doesn't show anything highlighted in yellow). Is there any way to determine exactly what a Join block is waiting on? I have tried deleting the Join block and recreating it, then reattaching all inputs to it but this does not seem to have worked.

I don't really want to have to recreate all the If and Task blocks if I can help it as there are quite a few and they have a bit of detail to them. Also, given this is a request offering, I can't easily export the workflow either.

Also, while I am at it, there is another part of the workflow where if any particular task fail I want to send an email. The workflow validator is telling me that I need a join before the Notification block, but if I put a Join there, it will expect all the tasks to fail before sending the email. How do I work around this?

Tipp?

Calculating two values in a request offering

$

Is it possible to take numerical values in different text fields in a request offering and calculate the sum in another? For example, I wish to create a matrix where users answer four questions, each with none, low, medium or high as the answer. I want to convert these answers to a value (0, 1, 2, 3) then calculate the total score automatically in the service request.

So far, I can convert each returned value to a number using the ToString function, but I cannot get the total score to calculate.

I know you can use a caluclation rule in a form, but how do you do simple arithmetic in a request offering/service request?

Service Request - Request for Role

I've created a request offering for a role within Ivanti - it is as follows:

The workflow fails whenever it hits a task block, not sure why. It's configured to create a task for a valid team and a valid owner within that team. Has anyone run into an issue like this, or know where to point me for best practices in creating a new Service request template?

Thanks,

Tim

Workflow Question

Hi

I am creating a new starter service request, where tasks are created based on what is selected on the front form.

If App 1 selected then create Task 1 etc.

I've therefore created a "Join" at the end of the workflow to link all the tasks back together, so I can then get a final approval step.

I'm having an issue however, as if there are 3 apps, and only 1 and 3 are required, the Join isn't completin as it's waiting for 1,2 and 3 task to be completed:

Any idea how I put a condition on a join so that if 1 and 3 are selected, then it disregards the "completed" of the 2nd App.

Thanks
Dan

Mobile Self-Service - An item with the same key has already been added.

Hi everyone,

this is my first question in the forum, please forgive me if I have not observed one or the other rule yet.

I have Request Offerings that are marked as editable. As soon as a change is made in the mobile Self Service before approval and you click Submit, the following error message appears, but the changes are applied correctly. The error does not appear in the normal self-service view.

In a pre-sales version (same version) the error did not appear either. All settings were the same

IvantiError.png

However, this behavior is unacceptable to the end user and leads to confusion.

Does anyone know this mistake? Has anyone had this mistake yet? Do you have a proposal for a solution?

I'm a little desperate right now.

We are using(Ivanti version 2017.2.1000.27030 @ 9/14/2017

Many thanks in advance and best regards

When clicking on Switch to self service this message appears.

There has been an unexpected error. Click Continue to return to the previous page.

Index was outside the bounds of the array.

This only happens if i am in my current group.

Other groups click on Switch to Self Service and receive the page fine.

Any advice on what might have changed for my group?

thanks

Dear folks

I receive an error message 'Invalid Web Service Description' while assigning a HEAT Development Project to a HEAT Development Package. It used to work some weeks ago. We are on 2017.3.1000.31399 Premise.

Also assigning Transaction Details fails, while assigning Transaction Sets would work.

Any ideas?

Thanks for answering back.

Windows 10 - Language Pack installation "dynamisch" gestalten

$

Hallo zusammen,

Deployment groups show duplicate computers, one registered and same showing No deployment agent installed

Since upgrading to 10.1 FR4 HF2, computers in deployment groups show one that is online and registered with the current agent(s) and another entry for the same computer with "No Deployment Agent Installed" status.  Why am I seeing double entries and how do I get rid of the "No Deployment Agent Installed" status computers?  Trying "Install deployment agent" doesn't get rid of the duplicate computer, only lists status of "Ivanti UWM Deployment Agent installed successfully.  Waiting for Ivanti UWM Deployment Agent to register".

In Xtraction Setting, we have option to update database under General TAB --> Database Connection.

Can we have Xtraction 14.1 database backup and restore on new DB of 2018.2 then use the above configuration setting to update the DB schema required for 2018.2 version of Xtraction ?

Will there be any schema discrepancy/Issues following this method to update the Database ?

Current Xtraction version is 14.1 with SQL DB 2008

New Xtraction version is 2018.2 with SQL DB 2014. New Xtraction is on windows OS 2016

Unable to link Self Service User direct to a Knowledge Article

$

Hi,

We have found we are having issues when trying to create a direct link to a knowledge article. We believe the issue is that the link is trying to log the user in as instead of taking them to the knowledge article it takes them to the home page instead. Once logged in if you click the same link again it will take you to the article you want. The same issue is occurring when clicking links to approvals or items in the self service role.

The link we have is as follows:

Any help would be appreciated!

Query to show all calls that are 50% / 75% of SLA

$

Hi all

I have had a request to show all calls for a team that are 50% through there SLA and 75% through SLA.

We currently have the calls changing colour at 50% (Green) and 75% (Yellow) but I cannot seem to be able to create Queries to show these calls.

I had an attempt by utilising colour as a criteria but you cannot create a query on colour other than creating it as a prompt and adding the colour but I can only work out the yellow colour which is -128 example below. There is probably a far easier way to do this but I'm unsure on how to achieve this on the process module. Any advice would be grateful

cheers Neil
