Auto Assignment on SLA Escalation breaches.

Hello Community,

 

I am not sure this can be done or not. We have 60%, 80% and 100
% escalations under a response level. We want to have a functionality like when 60% escalation breaches the ticket should get automatically assigned to Team A, similarly after 80% escalation breach ticket should get assigned to Team B and so on.

 

Is there any functionality in LANDesk by which we can achieve this?

Please suggest, thanks in advance


Cannot create a new customer in a incident in one role

Hello prized wizards of Ivanti service manager,


Some users have serveral roles and in 1 role  they cannot create a new customer in a incident, in other roles they can.

Where can I give the rights to create new customers to that role?

LOG-files auf DSM-Server (C:\ProgFiles(x86)\CommonFiles\enteo\NiLogs\Distribution

Hallo,

 

mittlerweile ist das "NiLogs-Verzeichnis" auf unserem DSM-Server auf fast 30GB gewachsen (\enteo\NiLogs\Distribution\), und täglich kommen ca. 500MB an neuen Log-files (JobQueue_NPC) hinzu. Hauptinformation in den Logfiles ist, dass alle files bereits aktuell sind ( ... is already up to date). Wir sind doch etwas über den schnellen Wachstum überrascht.

  1. Welche Empfehlung können sie uns bezüglich der Behandlung dieser Log-Files empfehlen? Gibt es diesbezüglich ein Best Practise?
  2. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Wachstum der Log-Files zu reduzieren?
  3. Gibt es ein Tool für die Verwaltung der Log-Files?

Service request in Selfservicemobile MyItems is missing email, and notes default config is not optimal?

We have not made any changes to Selfservicemobile and service requests - out of the box it seems a bit broken?

 

Service request use a new UI from Incidents in the My Items view; I can't find where this is controlled, or if it can be controlled. All documentation refers to the old UI.

 

As is, there is a tab for Notes, and the user can add a note. But, the notes are then invisible to the user as they do not have the "publish to selfservice" flag ticked by default. If you go in as an Analyst, and tick the box, they appear.

Also, there is no tab for Email, so analysts can add an email to a request, but the customer won't see it there. Without being able to find the form which is used to render this page, I can't add it in?

 

Can you edit these forms for Service Request, or force it to act more like Incident in MyItems at least?

Unused Policies and Rules

Hi All,

 

Is there a way to report on all unused policies/ Rules/ Security exceptions etc?

 

We are looking to clean up our estate a bit and figured this would be a good place to start (Best practice), so that as applications are upgrade or removed we will be able to remove any policies etc that are no longer connected with an application or user.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

osx unable to logon

I installed the lastest version of the Filedirector client on a OSX machine,  but the user is unable to logon. It does not prompt about an authentication error.
We are able to use the webversion of File Director / Datanow with these credentionals.

Policy for creating folder in user profile in case folder is missing

Hi All

 

I am facing an issue with Personalization, whenever a user logged in Excel or other office app and he didn't have desktop\my document folder in his profile then he is facing issue.

I want to setup a policy which check that if a folder is missing then create that folder in his profile.

Can you please help me.

I can no longer see patches in the lower half of the Machines Scanned tab

All of a sudden (well, it worked before) I can no longer see patches in the lower half of the Machines Scanned tab.  Where the patches used to show it now says "Please click on a single patch to view more information" but there are no patches.  I have clicked on other machines in the scan as well as other scan results...same thing.


Can I integrate ISM with Ivanti Endpoint Security?

I'd like to be able to take advantage of the information in Ivanti Endpoint Security to populate the CI information in ISM since we don't have Discovery.

Is this possible? Or would I need to put a feature request in?

Am facing a problem while importing data from excel ;

the excel just contains one column, the size is too small

While going to Integration Queue in the configuration console i have  found all  my imported sheets as queued..

Perform Tasks parallel

Hi,

 

We would like the send two different Tasks (Perform Task) to two different departments in one Workflow. Is there a way so that the two departments can execute the tasks in parallel? Now HR have to wait until IT  has completed its own Tasks. We already tried it with "Request Another Service" but we have no way the pass the necessary parameters to the new Service. Or did I miss something?

automatic keyboard toggle in Velocity web, v2.05

I can see where to auto pop the keyboard in the TE Hosts config but it isn't an option in the Web Hosts setup.  We want it to toggle as soon as an input field is selected vs having to hit the keyboard icon each time.

 

Is this now a script?

Hide Drives from Citrix PVS

Hi,

 

I´m working on a new Citrix Provisioning Desktop and herefor, Citrix maps the A:, B: and E: drive for sysinternal use. I don´t want the user to see this drives.

I tried with "Map Drive" and "Hide" but that doesn´t work. Any suggestions?

Self Service Template drop down menu

We are trying to modify our self service Incident form but we are unable to locate the location of the Template drop down menu that populates at the top of the form. Does anyone know where this resides?

remote server returned an error (500) internal server error

Have been using Endpoint Manager 2017.3.3 for a few weeks now with no issues until today when we are now unable to work with 'Distribution Packages'. When  we choose 'new -> windows -> exe' (or anything else) it returns "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error", hitting ok clears the message and the executable properties window appears but if we then try to change the primary field option the same error then appears.

Likewise when trying to check the properties of an existing package this error appears.

Pasting the web path into browser results in this;

 

Have tried using the console directly on the server but get the same results. Looking about the community it would appear it is likely something to do with IIS permissions on the package share.

Within IIS the share details appear and can be accessed.

 

Being quite new to this any assistance would be appreciated.


Tickets Breaching Before Creation Date

I'm having an odd issue.  Occasionally, I'll come across a ticket where the breach date occurs beforethe ticket is actually created.

Here is an example:

 

Here is the Escalation Watch info:

The Escalation Info is correct, including a false BreachPassed.  But, the ticket itself shows an invalid breach.

 

Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

Automate PXE Boot to Deploy Image

Hello,

 

We are just switching over to Ivanti Endpoint and one of the main features I am utilizing is the provisioning. I got the PXE Rep and DHCP setup (they are separate machines) and working so I can now PXE boot to deploy an image. However, the first two PCs I PXE booted seemed to automatically grab a template and image without the prompt for credentials, and selecting a template etc. so I was confused but, ultimately I would like to have that automation in place and customizable. I have searched all over the help and website with no luck in finding how to control this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

 

Summary: I would like to automate PXE booting/image deployment but can't find where to automate the credentials and template selection after the initial PXE boot.

time out adding files to distribution package

We are having problems adding files to distribution packages when running the Management Console on a device that is not the Core Server.  These issues do not occur when the Management Console is run from the core server.

 

The issue occurs when we try to to add files to a distribution package.  It hangs for a minute or two and then I receive "the operation has timed out" error popup.  I am using http Web path and it has worked in the past from a remote management console.

As an example of what I'm doing, Using FQDN (http://asdf.contoso.com/packages) doesn't work and I get the time out, however if I shorten it to http://asdf/packages then it does work.  In order for distribution to work on our devices, the FQDN must be used here.  I have verified that I can access the full path in a web browser (IE) on those servers, but it doesn't seem like the management console can browse to it using FQDN.

 

Also, to reiterate, when on the core server using FQDN works fine.

 

If anyone has seen this and has a suggestion I would appreciate it.

DSM 2018.1 - internal Windows Server 2019 Support - wann?

Habe soeben die erste Installation der finalen Windows Server 2019 Version mit DSM vorgenommen.

In Ermangelung des entsprechenden Supports in DSM habe ich einfach unsere Server 2016 Pakete kopiert und im OS Package die Sourcen getauscht.

Jetzt wäre es halt klasse wenn DSM das OS erkennen würde und man auch Pakete flaggen und Abfragen damit machen könnte.

Wann ist denn damit zu rechnen? Ist ja so, daß Microsoft schon lange Beta's verteilt hat und man diese zur Entwicklung hätte nutzen können.
