Social Content Pack - Workspaces

Afternoon all,

 

Is anyone using The Social Content Pack in Workspaces?

 

I want to use some elements of it but would really like to see before starting any further dev work.

 

I'm actually interested to see how all the content packs appear and behave in workspaces.

Enhanced Encryption to „Run AS“ - Proper way to implement it?

So in EM 2018.3 a new feature was released... Enhanced Encryption to „Run AS“ and „connect As“ functionality.

 

If anyone of you already implemented it. Would you please share your wisdom with me?

Is there anyway to make a "clean" implementation without converting .pfx files to .b64 files and storing all the necessary information in a textfile?

Windows 10 1809 DSM Client Offline - DSM Client erkennt keine NIC mit IP

Hallo,

 

bei Neuinstallation Windows 10 1809 und auch Inplace Migration auf 1809 ordnet sich der DSM Client nach der OS Installation bei mir immer der Offline Site zu

obwohl Rechner eine IP Adresse an der LAN Netzwerkkarte hat.

Der Rechner hat auch noch Wireless...

bei Windows 1709 gab es diese Probleme so noch nicht.

 

entscheidend diese Zeile:

Reboot bringt nichts...

erst wenn der Rechner online ist und ich den DSM Dienst neu starte erkennt er die IP Adresse und ordnet er sich der richtigen Site zu

 

Sind die Probleme bekannt oder gab es die schon in der Vergangenheit...

Lösungsansätze...?

EM 2018.3 VHD not being created

Hi all

 

We've got Appsense Environment Manager 2018.3 installed on Server 2016 with XenApp 7.15.

I'm trying to mount a VHD for Outlook Office 365 OST caching.

 

I've followed the instructions in the KB below verbatim, but finding that the test users directory is created on the share, with correct FC permissions, but the VHD is simply is not being created.

 

Environment Manager Policy  Outlook 2016 Cache Roaming & Windows Search

 

I don't see any event logs explaining the issue. And permisisons are correct on the share.

 

Anyone ever seen this or can advise how ot debug further?

Unable to run Agent tasks on Linux servers

Hi,

 

Just upgraded a test installation of Ivanti Patch 9.3 Update 1 to Ivanti ISeC 2018.3 (9.4.34105) and the Windows part of things work fine, but I'm having problems with the Linux agent. I cannot send commands to the agent like I can to the Windows based agents:

 

When I select the Agents menu on a Linux server I get no options other than Install/Reinstall, Uninstall and Assign Policy:

 

On a Windows server I get the usual options (including the option to Run tasks from the Agent Policy):

 

If I log on to the RedHat server and use stagentctl to list or run tasks, the agent works as expected:

Can't change columns in view records on the fly

I just updated my DEV server to 2018.4 and now when in view records,  I can no longer click on the blue "i" to add/remove columns on the fly.

 

I can go into my profile and change the columns, but it is very tedious to do that, when before I could just change it on the fly as I'm building a dashboard and trying to figure out which columns are relevant.

 

 

I upgraded from 2017.2, so this is my first experience with the HTML5 interface as opposed to flash.  

Is this a known issue?

Our organization uses ServiceDesk 2017.3. Is there a good article or reference that anyone has used to create/setup Surveys after incident closure in ServiceDesk? Also is there a way for only a certain percentage of surveys to be sent out?

When running a package there is the escript function "CheckInstallMode()"

 

But now I need this mode (install/reinstall) of a calling package. I can access pretty much anything using %CallingPolicyInstance% but seem to be unable to access the install mode.

 

Is it possible to get it somehow?

When a survey gets sent out, is there a way for the link to take the user straight to the survey? Instead of going through their previous incident history and clicking "complete survey".

Incident Self Service View - Description field shows HTML code

The default out-of-the-box form view for the description field used in the self service form for Incident is a plaintext viewer -- this is causing the end user to see the raw HTML code. I've changed it to be an HTML viewer, but it has not resolved the issue. Has anyone been able to succesfully display HTML fields in the self service Incident form?

Formatting the Change Calendar...

We have an issue with items in Change Calendar tab not displaying fully. Steps to recreate this issue:

·         Create required Change records to insert entries in the Change Calendar.

·         Create a Change that references the same services used above.

·         Go to the ‘Change Calendar’ tab within the Change record and attempt to open an entry.

We have had issues reported where the pop-up does not fully display and no amount of scrolling or window re-sizing makes a difference…

Additionally, the scrollbar inconsistently displayed:

See above, one of the issues identified when experiencing the issue is that sometimes the scrollbars appear and sometimes they do not.

 

Has anyone else received this issue...?

Push Current User Fields into another webpage?

Is it possible to push current user data (LoginID, email, etc.) from Ivanti into another webpage? If so, how can you do it? We have a URL workspace set up within Ivanti with some fields that need to be filled in by users -- we would like to be able to pre-populate some of those fields with data from their account so that they don't have to manually enter it.

API - Does every API call require a PSCredential?

Looking through the pages of different sample API credentials in JSON text, I don't see any "authorization" JSON. Does this mean that, assuming we use PowerShell, we include a PSCredential (-credential pscredentialobjecthere)with every call? I ask because other APIs from other vendors generally have a "logon" method which creates a token to include in all future calls. I haven't been able to login yet but I just wanted confirmation since the documentation doesn't seem to suggest that either way.


API - What account to use?

In the past we've had issue over which "logon to server" account to use to run Ivanti due to how Ivanti handles the storing/using of a credential. For example, we have a secondary stored credential in Ivanti that was created under XYZ account. That means every time we want to automate a patch deployment or use a scheduled console task, we have to use XYZ account since that's what the different credential is used mapped to.

 

The question here is, does the API have the same restrictions as previous versions? (As in whatever account we login to the GUI of Ivanti, has to be the same account that runs all the API commands - as opposed to any local administrator account on the Windows Server to run API commands in Ivanti)

If an AD user is deleted and another user account is created with the same username, they then use Ivanti EM and we are seeing 'domain\username (2)' in the personalization analysis. How can we remove the original reference and/or fix the new? We have tried to reduce the amount of time in advanced that removes the inactiveProfileExpiryDays to remove the old profile data (works fine) but not the record of the original user.

Could not login into GoldMine Incorrect Password!

Hi, I have a working remote site installations on two PC's both running Win 10. However the installation on my server (Win Server 2008 R2) has for no apparent reason stopped allowing logins. This means the remote sync is failing to connect. There's a silent login startup script on the server that is presumably failing because if I try to log in manually I get a dialog saying "Could not login into GoldMine Incorrect Password!".

SQL Server Management Studio can connect to the database so that's not the problem. I've tried copying the GM directory to a backup directory, then uninstalling GM and re-installing from the setup.exe but even then I get the same dialog, regardless of whether I use MASTER and the default pwd or whether I use my own username and password.

I have an up to date copy of the database on one of the remote machines that is working fine. What's the best way to get the server install back up and running and synced so it has the same data that is currently on the remote?

When user double-clicks on field label in Primary Fields View, Contact Search Center opens to incorrect field

When a user double-clicks on the label for the KEY5 field in the Primary Fields View, the Contact Search Center opens for the Company field in the 'Search by' dropdown.  The text field is not populated at all.  I've attempted to add another KEY5 field to the view, and it's behavior is the same as the existing KEY5 field.

 

Has anyone experienced this issue before with the CSC?
