The OOTB hard coded view calculation appears to calculate views from the Self Service role only. I'd like to find a way to calculate views from multiple roles - in a new field.
Is there a way to calculate Knowledge Article views that includes Self Service, Self Service Mobile UI and Service Desk
Provisioning finished email to the deployment user
ist there a way to get am email notification after the deployment has finished. The mail should only contact the user which has started the deployment task. i know there are "Alert Rule Sets" but these can only send to the specified users/user.
I could send a final sendmal command but then i need a deployment username variable.

how to name a PC during LD provisioning and how to specify post imaging tasks.
Hi,
I'm new to LD imaging and wanted to know how to rename a PC during LanDesk provisioning. the organization I work for currently only used scripts (powershell and VB) and an access database to handle post imaging tasks. I'm in the process of getting away from those. attached is a snip of the task that I am trying to run. I read somewhere that the action to use is the device name prompter and to insert it once the image conveys (not sure if that's true so I wanted to know if I can tell the PC to do that at the start of the image). for my second question I am trying to have my template install several programs (like Mcafee and Global Protect), how would I mod my template to handle these post-imaging actions? apologies for what could very well be a basic inquiry and any feedback is appreciated!
Uninstalling AV2017 with vulscan fails with successful message.
I'm trying to uninstall AV2017 with vulscan.exe /removeavnew /showui, it's failing and I have a few questions.
vulscan says it is successful but it's not. It quickly jumps from "Removing Ivanti Antivirus service" to "Done". The services also still exist after uninstall, so i know nothing is actually removed.

Why does it bother to pull in Kaspersky info if I'm calling /removeavnew?
Why does LDAV.exe /remove exit with an error code (229835205) then say that it returned successfully?
What does error code 229835205 mean?
How can I uninstall BD? (Preferably without resorting to some utility that I have to run manually. What if we have to go to something again and I can't uninstall BD properly?)

Using a timespan to set a list of time ranges
Hi -
Trying to set a duration list based on the resolution vs creation time. I can easily calculate the duration of an Incident - Resoltuion Creation Date - Incident Creation Date, get it's mins/secs/etc...
What I need to do is then have a calculation that will set a list of settings <1 Hour, 2-6 Hours, 6-12, 12-24, >24.
I think I can make it set the list fine, what I'm struggling with is doing a logic compare with the calculation. It seems that the TimeSpan only returns String results, that I then cannot compare to Int/Double values. It seems casting the TimeSpan result is not working as my window just returns null values.
Assuming I can handle the setting of the list and all of that - how do I do a comparison of the TimeSpan value?
runaway cba processes
I've got Mac users that frequently execute "sudo killall cba" in order to kill the hundreds of processes LANDesk starts up which eventually end up consuming all file handles available on a mac (this can be thousands). Once Landesk has reached a threshold of CBA processes, you can't even execute "sudo" anymore on your macbook to cleanup the rogue cba processes until you find a way to free up resources by closing down other applications first.
These folks are on High Sierra.

How to configure journal email to show user display name with the standard from email?
I would like the emails sent from a journal to be sent with the users display name so that the recipient of the email will see the user display name rather than the generic from email set as the listener email.
Fields I have reviewed in the form are FromAddr and FromDN.

I've Upgraded from 2016.3 to 2018.3 Service-desk
after this many users report this error when trying to resolve incidents :
"Null value set for attribute Incident of class type IncidentManagement.Resolution. This attribute is mandatory and must contain a non-null value."
if i removed the Data Partitioning from the Group that user belong to , the error not coming and will be able to resolve .
but this was before working normally even with Data Partitioning active .

when i'm trying to Close some tickets only on workspace, it gives me this error:
this print button is not exist in the window for that tickets.
and i checked in DB i see that the print attribute, has a values in DB for that ticket
i know by default after adding this calculation for showing PRINT BUTTON . it should generate the link to open the reports .
but why is this happening ? why im not able to close the ticket only on workspace !!
Unable to modify field contents in Live via console
Good morning.
I am currently experiencing an issue within Service Desk 2017.1 console.
I am able to modify the template fields (additional info and SLA in the test environment, and have previously been able to do it in the Live environment also, however for some reason I can't now.
I have checked the protection levels and changed the fields to full Read/Write but am still unable to change this in the console.
Could this be an issue with the SQL db??
The only other difference is that the editable fields have a 'Template Attribute' box in the Properties:

We are testing Velocity on a Newland MT65 III terminal as a possible replacement for Wavelink TE.
Is it possible to specify a Scan Handler and Scan Identifier and transmit the AIM ID like you can in Wavelink TE?
Remove leading zeros in barcode field
I'm trying to configure a barcode form to add devices to Asset Control (in EPM 2017.3.3). My question is about how to strip leading zeros from a barcode. For example, our asset tags have 8 digits, and start with zeros. So, when I scan that barcode, I want to change it from '00012345' to '12345'.
Do I have to build a rule, and run that against the device after it is added to inventory, or can it be done on the fly in the barcode form field properties?
Also, can I take the value from one field, and use that in another attribute? For example, if I'm entering a new monitor and the asset tag is '12345', how can I auto-populate the Device Name as 'Mon-12345'?

DSM 2018.1 - internal Windows Server 2019 Support - wann?
Habe soeben die erste Installation der finalen Windows Server 2019 Version mit DSM vorgenommen.
In Ermangelung des entsprechenden Supports in DSM habe ich einfach unsere Server 2016 Pakete kopiert und im OS Package die Sourcen getauscht.
Jetzt wäre es halt klasse wenn DSM das OS erkennen würde und man auch Pakete flaggen und Abfragen damit machen könnte.
Wann ist denn damit zu rechnen? Ist ja so, daß Microsoft schon lange Beta's verteilt hat und man diese zur Entwicklung hätte nutzen können.

WinPE ethernet I217-LM Issue
Hi Everyone,
I am having issues injecting the intel I217-lm Ethernet driver into WINPe, I am currently getting the Error 0x80070002 failed to load driver. How ever, I am able to manually load this driver in WinPE with a flash drive which leads me to believe it is not a compatibility issue. I have read in a few places that this is a known issue and wondering if anyone here has ran into this issue or something similar and able to get it resolved?
I have verified all the pxe reps have the updated wim files, I have also tried multiple drivers and so far the one I am sticking with is downloaded directly from Intel as it is the only one I was able to manually load during WInPE.
The computer being imaged is a HP Prodesk 600 G4 SFF WIN 10 x64,

How do we update the breach date to reflect the updated SLA
We have recently update the SLA for our Incidents to take into account the 2 week shutdown for Christmas. We have a number of open tickets that will breach during this period which need an update to the original breach date which extends it to when we return from the shutdown.
What's the best way to achieve this?
