We have approximately 2000 licenses for Ivanti Mangement suite. We have more computer in our database, i want to make sure we are not going to have a issue with patching.
Are the licenses per user or machine?
We have been testing out the Social Board and have found an issue with pasting a link into the comments box.
If you type anything before or after a link in the comment it breaks the link and adds in white space.
We have tested on Edge, Chrome and Explorer and used links from SharePoint, the web etc and happens every time.
If you paste only the link in the comments it will work.
Anyone had this before and found a way to resolve?
I have a two tier approval set up for service reqs. The problem is that I'm having trouble calling the frs_approval vote tracking number that corresponds to the appropriate approval for my second tier. I get the error "Ambiguous result-set when trying to fetch database values for Update FRS_Approval". I think logically what needs to happen is I need a statement in my quick action to call a specific related approval, but I cant figure out the syntax. If I manually update the field with info instead of calling it via the action everything else in my workflow falls into place. Any ideas?

How can I retrieve a field value from the form and put it in HTML field ? for example this text: (This Agreement will be effective from: July 8th, 2015, and will remain valid for a period of 12 months and will be renewed automatically if there are no additional requirements from one of the stakeholders.)
I need to add this text to HTML field but I need the date to be read from start date field. How can I achieve this?
By using email templates, field's values can be returned like $(ChangeNumber) but when using the same context $(StartDate) in HTML field to retrieve the value of it, it retrieves the text the same as I typed it not the value of it. like this:

Has anyone figured out a clean way to display tasks associated to incidents or service requests in the Self Service Mobile interface?

Is there a way to create a role that allows a user R/W type access to a specific request offering? I would like to have a set of users that will receive tasks created during a specific request offering and give them access to these tasks via the service request. However, I don't want them to be able to see all other service requests. Would I do this with a customized view with the constraint of the service request template or could I create a role that only allows certain service requests that are created by the request offering? Wondering what the community thinks.
When an incident is logged in ivanti service manager , and it should be handled by one of the team members by assigning the ticket to the proper team , urgency , impact ....etc
Can i log this Person some how (He / She had to deal with this ticket for the first time ) ,

Warning: '"Unassigned"' is not a choice for the validation list Employee# of field Owner_Valid. I understand that the Pick List being used had LoginID as the value stored. SO how can I update / change the value of the field through workflow. I have tried Display Name and Login ID and still get the error

As I understand that ISM Mobile App is now supported for self service mobile role on iOS and Android. My customer require service desk and other technical roles to be able to work on mobile, so I recommend them to use mobile browser instead.
However, we found some bugs using ISM with mobile browser for example 1. cannot choose and click incident from incident list, 2 cannot expand preview form in Incident layout.
Please help to suggest how technical team be able to work on mobile or product roadmap on using ism on mobile.

I’ve found that under Device > TCPIP > Address – There is the IP address of the device, Padded and unpadded. Very convenient. Why is there not the same for Physical Address? I’ve checked among the different manufactures of devices that we have and there simply isn’t one.
The first and fourth child Network Adapter record does not contain and physical address field or is null. The second and third have a value, but the 2nd record’s Physical address field is all zeros. Clearly in this situation the third record would be the obvious real mac address to use. However not all are this obvious.
So my Idea is that using some VBS and a calculation rule, I may be able to iterate through the child records and write them all to an array, then identify the best mac to grab. Then write it to the Physical address field on the MP_AP_Devices table.

There's a few obvious issues here:
1. I am able to iterate through the MacAddress Array, however, not able to iterate through the variable reference to Physical Address. Not sure if that's even possible or how to try that..
2. I decided to join all the strings together on the final line. There is no mechanism here to break down the strings and device which is most likely the MAC address.
Any ideas?
Btw, in case anyone wants to ask for some reason, were on version 18.3 about 7500 Managed and 3000 Asset Control..
We have server clusters in our environment. Our network team is claiming that they consist of two or more servers and that they would be incapable of having an agent on them. Though we are installing agents on the servers inside, I would be interested if any of you guys have ever installed an agent on a cluster or if its even possible. These "clusters" are coming up in UDD as Windows Servers.
We prompt a Service Manager staff user to enter actual effort for a task being marked as completed if actual effort is <= 0.

However, 0 is still an acceptable value in the prompt. How can i make the acceptable valuable 0 or greater? Is there a way to do this?

OK, so I know that is a vaguely worded question, so let me explain. I was just approached and asked if there was some way of keeping multiple people"in the loop" on particular incidents. They worded it as adding "multiple customers" but the outcome is that they want other stakeholders (besides the customer, generally department heads or other management types) included on Incident notifications. These people would not have access to Ivanti (other than the regular SSU role). Would a setting these people up as a team be the best way to that? Our system is still in it's infancy and I'm trying hard to build the system with better concepts and design in mind.
I'm very interested in hearing how some of you have tackled this issue. Thanks!!

For instance, all incident, change, project, release ticket all start with a number such as 0001...
The customer will like to know if it is possible to add a prefix to the several module to differentiate if it is a change or an incident or a release or a ppm module
For example, all incident ticket should start with INC100001
For example, all change ticket should start with CHQ100001
For example, all release ticket should start with REL100001
For example, all PPM ticket should start with PPM100001
For Knowledge Center there is a command called "ShowKnowledgeCategory".

My customer have application that has user information and also team details. They are looking to import user and team information to ISM and they prefer to use web service to import not csv or excel. So, please help to recommend the integration method that can fulfill this requirement.
