Search On Incident BO for CI Information

Is their any way to search CI details in incident BO ,

 

For example: if I want to search tickets logged for "Micrsoft" laptops

Search "Smartboard" tickets related to "Phase" 3

Search "HP" laptop Issues having model "430 G4"

etc. etc.


How can I retrieve a field value from the form and put it in HTML field ?

Dear All.

 

How can I retrieve a field value from the form and put it in HTML field ? for example this text: (This Agreement will be effective from: July 8th, 2015, and will remain valid for a period of 12 months and will be renewed automatically if there are no additional requirements from one of the stakeholders.)

I need to add this text to HTML field but I need the date to be read from start date field. How can I achieve this?

 

By using email templates, field's values can be returned like $(ChangeNumber) but when using the same context $(StartDate) in HTML field to retrieve the value of it, it retrieves the text the same as I typed it not the value of it. like this:

(This Agreement will be effective from: $(StartDate), and will remain valid for a period of 12 months and will be renewed automatically if there are no additional requirements from one of the stakeholders.)

 

The HTML code for the above:

Discover servers not receiving updates

Hi all,

 

We recently discovered an issue where a number of servers were not receiving updates as a recommended update was blocking Windows Update from determining that there were critical patches available.


Does anyone know of a way within Ivanti Endpoint Security to list servers that have have not had updates applied within the past 'x' months?

Dear all,

 

I am trying to integrate  ISM with ERP like Adempiere or Odoo and using WSO DSS as web service.

 

I am using this document https://community.ivanti.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/265363-55443/IVANTI%20SM%20-%20HOW%20TO%20Create%20a%20web%20s… as my references.

 

But when I put the wsdl link to create Service Reference, this is what I get

I only know this error is because of the version difference in AJAX, but could not find what version that ISM or WSO used. This error is occur in ISM 2017.x

 

but if I using ISM 2018.1 this is what I get when adding Service Reference

I still don't know where to register the host.

 

Please let me know if there's something I need to configure first to solve this.

Custom Rule with Scripted Rule Condition

Ran into problems in getting the Custom Rule with Scripted Rule Conditions.

The details were the following

- found the Scripted Rule evaluation result did not affect the behavior of the Custom Rule

- the Scripted rule was simplified as single line of return vbFalse or vbTrue

- the User privilege was set to allow Components>Network Connection

- no matters the results was False or True, the testing user could configure the IP of the ethernet connection manually

- attached were screenshot, VBscript and Rule Snippet

Anyone had any comments/suggestions on

- any experiences dealing with Scripted Rule

- how to process next

Ability to add multiple attachments at once. Is it possible?

So we used to have the ability to control | Shift and select in windows explorer and upload multiple attachments at once but since our upgrade to 2018.1 (on premise) we seem to have lost this ability.

 

Does it work for others, is there a way to force it to be enabled?

Hallo

 

Jemand von euch mal auf eure DSM geschaut seit einem 2018.1.2 Update? Unter 2017.1 hatten wir das noch nicht aber seit dem Update müllen unsere DSM Server ihre C:\ Platte zu 100% zu mit lauter *.zip Dateien im Ordner:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\enteo\NiLogs\Distribution\%Servername.OSD% [Depot,66404]\zip

 

Un das sieht dann so aus und geht immer weiter bis die HDD voll ist:

 

In den *.zip selber sind immer Dateien mit dem Namen z.B.:

 

     JobQueue_Packages_66404_SYSTEM_AGG.log

 

Drinnen steht dann lustiges Zeug was ich aus Datenschutz Gründen hier nicht posten kann aber eine "failure" Meldung wiederholt sich darin regelmäßig:

How to add local user to Ivanti device control?

Hello,

 

I want to control devices on non domain computer. It's possible (we are using Ivanti device control)? Because in "Ivanti Device and Application Control Console" I can add non domain computer, but I can't add non domain users. I only can add a domain user. To be clear: I have computer "ws-office1-01" (non domain) and local user in that computer "user1". In "Ivanti Device and Application Control Console" I can add "ws-office1-01" computer (Device Explorer -> Workgroup -> Insert Computer -> Search or using Add.. button). I can add a USB drive on "ws-office1-01", but how to add permissions to "user1"? In "Add/modify Permissions..." I only can find domain users and Ivanti server local users, but I can't see "ws-office1-01" local users ("user1") and I can't add them. So I can't control USB drives on ws-office1-01". Any ideas? Thank You!

Multi-Select (List) fields in Service Requests

Has anyone used the values of a list field in a Request offering to drive the visibility or required settings of another field? 

 

I have a list field that has 5 different options listed in it, if the user selects one of the specific options i would like to make another field visible and required. I have tried this a few times briefly, but gave up and went another route.

Create pdf document or report from workflow

Hello everyone,

 

We have the following scenario:

 

An end user opens a request offering and fills out a longer form. Several tasks are created via the workflow and various data is transferred to another system via a Web service. My question is if it is possible to create a document (in the best case a PDF file) with the service request parameters from the workflow. (Like a kind of report). This document should then also be sent via the workflow to a specific recipient by email. The use case requires that it must be a document and not just an email with all service request parameters. Can someone help here or has an idea whether such a thing is possible?

Hi,

 

I am trying to modernize my screens and I face an issue.

For some imported screens captured, Velocity is blocking the template on the same name/identifier.

I want to seperate the template but I can't give a different name for both of them.

 

For example, my template "T12" is applied on the sceen 9 and 10.

I don't want it. I want to give a different name and template.

2018.3 - VHD Cache Fails to mount (Randomly) in Citrix Environment

Ivanti version 2018:3 (10.2.390.1)

 

We're having an issue where the vhd cache fail to mount for random users each day. When a user logs on one of the Citrix servers (there is 3) it seems like it randomly attach the vhd cache or not. It's affecting different users each day - one user can have the problem one day and the other day its working just fine. It's also only 3-5 users out of 30, that seems to be affected each day. There's always atleast one affected user each day.

 

All permissions are set correctly and because of the random success of mounting the vhd - permission doesn't seem to be the issue here.

 

There is also something bothering because if I check the folder with the vhd caches, a user where the vhd failed to mount, shows that her vhd was modified at the time she logged on to the Citrix server.

The vhd cache is set to be created on a network drive.

 

We've tried to troubleshoot this with the Ivanti support but they didn't find anything within the 3 logs we've sent them. They recommended us to upgrade Ivanti to a later version (the problem started on an old version). But after upgrading last week, the issue persist even on the 2018.3 version today.

 

Has anyone seen this issue before and have some guidance for us how to solve it?

Incident SLA issues

Hi all

 

We've just associated SLAs to Services to turn on the SLA subscription service in Incident.

 

It's all gone well except for a couple of issues

 

1. There are older Incidents that are from before the SLA was turned on, that are triggering the Threshold escalations and breach emails all in 1 hit (we've set the email to send out to task owners so that's why there is multiple):

 

 

This seems to be random as it has not happened to all open incidents, only a small number and I'm not sure why this is triggering.

 

2. We have a number of odd incidents that are not picking up the override conditions even though they have been set correct:

 

Example is Service Called Citrix XenDesktop:

I have no idea why either of these are occurring so any help would be appreciated.

HTML tel: opens a new tab in Chrome

Hello People & Happy new year!

 

      I followed this how to - How to create a link on Incident, that can be used to automatically call a customer (eg, "Call from Lync" or "Call from Skype")

 

When i click on the link using Chrome a new tab opens and a window appears asking me do i want to call the number.

 

This is what i would like, however the Chrome tab remains open

 

In IE a new tab quickly opens then closes and the window appears asking me do i want to call the number, which is what i would like happen, just with Chrome instead.

 

When i inspected the page in Chrome i can see........

 

 

Does this mean the ISM is somehow forcing the new tab by adding target="_blank" ?

 

The expression used is - $("<a href='tel:" + [OtherObject]Phone1 + "'>Call From Jabba</a>")

 

I have made the changes in service request BO using ISM 2017.3.1000.31399

 

Any help would be awesome!

Approval for incident

Hello, sometimes in my company, an incident should have an approval.

 

I tried to add an approuval vote from the incident but when everyone answer, the approval stay in "Waiting".

 

How can i create an approval on my incident and switch from "waiting" to "acepted" or "denied" ?

 

On service catalog everythings works fine but not on incident. Maybe it's a workflow process but i not know from what i should started.

Any news on a connector / integration for ServiceNow?

Back in late 2017 i got feedback from product management that there had been discussions about adding a connector as other customers were interested but there was no defined timeline (just possibly 218 and that it would be via the Marketplace).

 

Does anyone know is this something still on the cards to be developed (or even via Zapier although i don't see Service Now on there currently)?

I use Worlspaces and LDSD

 

i've made a request with several column (15)

BUT

now i would like when i visualize result of this request in workspaces that by default only 5 fields appears

AND

can select and add later another fields (hide) of this request  to appears

How i can do that ?

Hi

 

I'm getting the below error when opening a CI from the main CI tab:

 

 

Opening the CI from the Child BOs work fine.

 

This is only in our STG env and is working fine in Production, but I can't see what the difference is.
