Hi all,
We recently discovered an issue where a number of servers were not receiving updates as a recommended update was blocking Windows Update from determining that there were critical patches available.
Does anyone know of a way within Ivanti Endpoint Security to list servers that have have not had updates applied within the past 'x' months?
Regards,
Craig
We're starting to manage some remote laptops that are not going to be on our domain. What are best practices for managing bitlocker recovery keys for devices like this? Can Ivanti escrow the keys for us?
Hello,
I noticed the 10.2.x compatibility matrix lists the older 7.x releases however the 10.3.x compatibility matrix starts at 7.14, I assume the older 7.x releases are still supported and there just isn't room to list them all?
Thanks
I seem to be getting a some odd behaviour with a number of pick lists. When I edit one, the values within two other lists replicate the values, and I can't seem to work out what is linking them.
I am currently working on importing CI data and it appears the CI.Category field has been linked to our Change BO within the "Reason for Change" category. Looking at the different BOs I can see the Validated pick lists are different, but an edits affect all three lists.
Greetings Ivanti community.
I can create a list of groups using the "Setup and Sync tool" and assign it to an "Organization" structure, or I can use Automation to pass a list of groups as the value of a text parameter. But how can i show this collected information in a list for the Identity Director requester? In other words, how can I assign a list of values to a parameter which is different from the value that was originally configured?
I see 3 different reboot settings to configure. Just wanted some clarity on all 3.
1. Under standard ivanti agent there are "Agent install reboot settings" - This makes sense, just asking when can the client reboot after installing the agent
2. Under Standard Ivanti Agent there is also "Reboot settings" for distribution and patch reboot settings - Is this referring to when patches (windows updates) can be installed and when the client can reboot? (maintenance window?)
3. Under distribution and patch--->distribution and patch settings--->maintenance window. How is this different from reboot setting 2?
Hallo Leute, jemand Ideen ?
Andere Clients gehen.

Hi together.
I have some trouble to define exclusions (file name or types exception from sync). Is there somewhere a complete overview of what commands and options are there? I want to exclude files where the name starts with !!!! or zzzz. My idea: (Name == /!!!!*.*/) OR (Name == /zzzz*.*/) doesn't work.
Thanks a lot and kind regards
Kai
We have a some Incidents that have been logged with the wrong SLA and have breached (isBreach attribute is true). We've been asked to remove the breach from these incidents by management. Other than changing isBreach attribute in SQL is there a way of removing the tick from isBreached in Ivanti Service Desk?
I've noticed an "Ignore Agreements" boolean which I thought might be useful for us in this scenario but can't find much documentation about it other than what is said below from the manual. Is there any information I've missed on "Ignore Agreements" that's in the documentation or community or does anyone know how this boolean should actually work? On testing this, SLA escalations still expire even after ticking "Ignore Agreements" so I'm slightly confused on what this is for.
From manual:
"If required, you can choose to ignore the agreement rules when completing an Incident, Problem, Change, Call, Task or Assignment. To do this, you need to ensure that you have added the Ignore Agreements attribute (as a check box) to the required window"
We need to upgrade Goldmine to the latest version that support password complexity.
As a GoldMine Administrator, I writing to understand exactly what needs to be relayed to the end-users when the upgrade happens in regards to their login process.
For example, if a user's current credential is:
Username: User1
Password: AbCd*#1234
Following the Goldmine update,
1. Does she need to use the password in all uppercase like, "ABCD*#1234"?
2. After the initial login with an all uppercase password, can she change the password back to "AbCd*#1234"?
If above scenario is true, instead of asking individual users to update their password back to meet the complexity policy, can this process be completed through database update without the users' input?
In other words, can I update everyone's password to uppercase to enable them to login the first time. Then, change the password back to the way it was from the back-end?
I'm trying to figure out the least end-user impacting method to update the GoldMine with complexity password enabled.
We are suffering from the above problem. Users are being prevented from logging in and receiving the above message
We have resolved this by requesting everyone to log out accessing the dbalias and changing TRUSTSELFSIGNEDCERTIFICATES=no to TRUSTSELFSIGNEDCERTIFICATES=Yes
but something is causing the file to revert to "no" again, with 50 users accessing the database, continually logging everybody out to fix this is not an acceptable solution
Are you able to advise me of the cause of this and how to apply a permanent fix
Thanks
Wayne
I have a new user that is not part of the self-services users role so he cannot access the portal. When I try to add the role to him, he does not show in the list. He is currently an analyst. What am i doing wrong?
