Can you add screen-specific Key Macros using the Screen Reformatter?

I am very familiar with both Key Macros within the TelnetCE Emulation Parameters and the Screen Reformatter and I am curious if there is any ability to have Key Macros that are designed for a specific screen using the Screen Reformatter.

 

It'd be great if I could add a Key Macro as a supporting action:

High CPU Usage by ISSUSER.exe

On LD 9.6 SP1 client I'm seeing issues with ISSUSER.exe running at 100% of one core and sometimes faulting.

Once suggestion was to replace the jscript.v55 file, but that has not resolved the issue.

 

Looking at the application errors  in the diagnostic data in inventory I'm seeing the following

So it appears the LIBEAY32MT.dll is where it's faulting at with an exception code of c0000005

 

Any advice?

"Remote Control" not available to Core Server

My assistant and I just got new computers and a new laptop. All three are 64-bit with Windows 7 Professional. We've installed the LANDesk Console on all three. When we right click on the Core Server we do not have the option for Remote Control. The Remote Control feature is available for all other computers.

 

On our old Windows XP and Windows Vista machines you can remote to the Core Server.

 

Any ideas on how to get this feature back in Windows 7?

 

We can RDP to it but the LANDesk Remote Control feature is our preference.

 

We are using Version 9 with Service Pack 2.

Change Service Desk regional settings

When Service Desk was installed we think that it was accidentally set up with the British settings. The biggest issue is that our users see the "wrong" date formatting. While console users see dates as mm/dd/yyyy, web users see dd/mm/yyyy despite the regional settings on the browser and computer being set to US English, and the web server having US English set as its language. Is there any way for us to change the regional settings, or if that is not an option to at least change the date formatting online. We are currently using version 7.7.3 but if it helps you, we are planning to update our installation to 8.2 in the relatively near future. Thanks for any help.

Avalanche version of TE Client downloading as ZIP file instead of AVA file

I haven't downloaded any TE Clients in the past few months.  I always download the Avalanche version and install the AVA file onto the server, then configure from there through Avalanche.   I was attempting to download v7.3.207 of the TE Client for the Motorola MC32N0 device.    I noticed that most TE Client Avalanche downloads are now in ZIP files.  However when you extract the Zip file, it creates a bunch of sub folders and unfortunately there is no AVA file which Avalanche looks for when you attempt to install the TE Client into a software profile.  Does anyone know what I'm missing here?

Service Level Management Change Not Working Correctly

Up until last week, our Service Level Management for our UK incident response levels was Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

 

Due to a change in support hours, we needed to change the Friday to 9am - 4pm. I made this change in the SLM calendar, however incidents seem to still be running to 5PM.

 

We have multiple SLM calendars, for different countries etc, but I am wondering if the default calendar would be overriding anything at all? Even through all UK response levels point to the UK calendar etc.

 

Any help would be appreciated, as incidents are currently breaching when no one is in the office to attend the support queues.

Example: mapping 3 Source Attributes to One Target Attribute - I have 3 name fields in AD (Last Name, First Name MI) and I would like all three of those mapped to the 'Title' field for End User, but I want it formatted as my example in ( ) shows instead of just being LastNameFirstNameMI - any thoughts?

Centos 7 - Patch not detected

There is no patch detected for Centos 7 server. When check in device inventory, there is no value for Last vulnerability scan date..

I have already run the manual vulscan on the server but nothing happened. I have setup another Centos 7 machine and it is also the same. There is no issue with inventory scan.

I have referred to this link, Agent on Centos 6 (x64) not updating "Last Vulnerability Scan Date" value

So I have tried to unistall and reinstall LANDESK agent, restart map-scheduler and map-scraper services.

Can anyone share how to resolve this issue?

we are trying to measure the number of servers that are patched at the moment for a particular vulnerability but for some reason there is no trending data for the particular vulnerability and the status doesn't match the history.  I have attached a few screenshots for reference.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Multiple Mail Manager Action Settings in LDSD 7.8?

Is it possible to set the Inbound Email Action Settings to look for multiple keywords?  Specifically, our Incident creation notification reads differently than our Incident update notification and we want users to be able to reply to either to add a note to their ticket.  We could make them have the same subject, I suppose, but the outbound emails are currently separated and I think we'd like to keep it that way.  As such, either the ability to look for multiple keyword arrangements in one Action Setting or to have multiple Action Settings would be useful.

We upgraded our LANDesk Service Desk Test Server to 7.8.2 because we need to know how this Customer Happiness Tracking works. I read that this is not a feature that is there ready to just use it but rather, it says I need to create an object and incorporate it to our existing Process. Please I need your guidance whether I must create this Customer Happiness Object under the Call Management or Incident Management. I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Intel AMT vPro Provisioning problems - Cannot get machines to provision

For the past 6 months I've been trying to figure out the cause of this.  I'm going to list out some details of my current environment and answer any questions you may have if you decide to help me with this.

 

Zero Touch Provisioning.

An Intel AMT vPro certificate was purchased through godaddy for our LANDESK Server.

The Certificate was added to the LANDesk server properly, LANDesk verified.

Our DNS system does keep the hostname matched up with the DNS record.

DHCP option 15 is enabled.  DNS option 15 is enabled but NOT at the router level.  They are enabled on the Windows 2008 R2 box that hosts those services.

No machines successfully provision to ADMIN CONTROL MODE.  Nor do they Provision to Client Control Mode.

Under LDMS 9.6 R2 CONFIGURE -> Intel vPro Options -> *

          All settings are configured.  The password is 8 char with uppercase, number and a special character.

All clients have AMT version 6.2 or higher.

All clients are in AMT Configuration State of PKI

All Client FQDN are matching up with the Device Name/Hostname

All clients have AMT enabled in BIOS

All clients are able to syncronize the password from LDMS

All clients are in a "Provisioned" mode of 2

 

 

I don't know what the provisioned mode of 2 means.  I'm wondering how the password is syncronized but it doesnt finish provisioning.  Here is a snippet of my log of AMTConfigDll.log:

(none of the machines referenced in this log completed the provisioning process.)

 

It looks like that the computers that will NOT provision do not have an AMT FQDN set.  This could be the problem but I do not know what to do to resolve this.

 

Well, it looks like it may be my certificate.  It does not contain the AMT unique OID (2.16.840.1.113741.1.2.3).  I will report back with results after I talk to GoDaddy

We are planning the following upgrades:

  1. LDMS 9.6 SP1 -> SP2
  2. LDSD 7.7.3 -> 7.8.2

 

Should Workspaces be installed prior or following LDMS 9.6 SP2?

This is not mentioned in the documentation for SP2 or Workspaces.  We are not currently using Fuse or BridgeIT - just Portal Manager.

Unattend getting truncated after generalize pass

I have been fighting with this intermittent issue and spending way too much time on it.  It is maddening since it will fail 3 times in a row and then succeed without any modifications whatsoever on the same hardware. 

 

 

What is happening is that after the generalize pass of the sysprep run, it will install device drivers and then move onto applying system settings where it fail to parse the unattend.xml at C:\Windows\Panther saying the answer file is invalid.  Looking at the unattend file, it will be truncated at the line stated in the error message. 

 

I have tried injecting the unattend into the root of the drive, into C:\Windows\Panther with the same result.  I have put waits in the provisioning template after the inject to ensure that it is being written completely.  Looking at the unattend file before the generalize pass shows that the file is intact. Looking through the sysprep logs yeilds no clue as to what is happening.

 

I generated the unattend file with Windows Systems Image Manager and is attached below.  I am on LD 9.5 SP2 trying to provision Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64.

 

Anybody know what is happening to the unattend and any suggestions on making this more reliable?

i have an creating 1 alert ruleset, i want give a notice if hardisk full and send an email to me, but that email not come.

is there the prerequisite to running the alerts?
