Query incidents that currently have a specific optional action available?

I've attempted this by querying Lifecycle.Actions.Title, and this only seems to find Incidents that are associated to a Lifecycle that have an action by that title (vice having an action with that title currently available).  Status, unfortunately, does not appear to have any Actions associated, so far as I can determine via Query Designer.  Now, if only queries could be based off of SQL...

 

If you have found or find a way to do this in Console or Web Access, I would definitely like to know.  This isn't urgent by any means, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's not possible, but I certainly will appreciate if someone can find a way!

Windows 10 Ent 1709 - Accessibility, High Contrast

Gents,

 

This is a pooled VDI environment and the issue is dead simple to reproduce.

Users must be able to set the high contrast setting under 'Ease of Access --> Color & high contrast' if they need it due to visual impairment.

I enabled the proper personalization settings and I can indeed see under the 'Personalization Analysis' the settings are captured.

Problem as it seems, is timing.

If you logoff as a user and then as administrator I delete the user profile that was saved locally, next time he logs in, he gets a new profile, based on the default user profile.

AppSense Personalization then kicks in and brings pretty much all back. EXCEPT the high contrast settings.

I can see in a registry key (HKCU\Control Panel\Accessibility\HighContrast) the value Flags is changed from 126 (meaning none) to 127 (meaning enabled). AppSense does capture that.

But once the profile is recreated, the value goes back to 126. It is like AppSense is doing what it needs to but before Windows is done with the user profile and then, due to the wrong timing, the setting is not honoured.

Has anyone seen something like this?

Connect Call Block not working

Anybody else having issues with the Connect Call Block taking the call back into the system instead of handing the call off and being done with it? We have an option to leave a voicemail which is a Connect Call Block to an extension, After about 55 seconds it cuts the voicemail automated message off in the middle of talking and transfers you back into the IVR again and I never get to hear the beep where I can leave a voicemail. Our old version of IPCM is set up the exact same way in the application and has no issues, only having issues with 2016.2.

DSM 7 (2017) automatic group population, computers

  Is there a way to auto populate a group\OU based on the OU that computers are located in Active Directory?  I'm looking for a way to create a similar structure to our Active Directory structure, and I know the current import tool is only a single import.

 

are there any options that would accomplish what I'm looking for?

Running 2016.3

 

Anyone seen this message during deploying a image?

I am deploying a Windows 10 image on a mini laptop. The os partition was shrunk to 30gig. When the template starts in the deploying image it glides through partition 1 & 2 but starting in the os partition 3 it says resizing then comes up with the error message. This laptop has a ssd hard drive and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. All other models of laptops image fine.

Environment Variables

So I added Environmental Variable to RES like this

Then I logged as a user to Citrix published desktop. It adds the variable in users profile at this location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment\2

 

I have an application that depends on variable RESNAME=%Clientname% but it wants it in this location HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment

 

Any idea how can I make this work?

Windows 10 Start Menu capture/track

We are testing WM 10.1.300.1 on Server 2016.

 

We dont seem to be able to reliably capture the user created shortcuts on the Windows 10 start menu.  How do we configure capturing/tracing for this user setting.

Customer selectable, notification Opt-Out / Unsubscribe?

Good day,

 

Notifications. Unsubscribe. Has anyone created a user selectable opt out process for their customers? In this age of email overload how can we get our customers to read emails we really need them to read?

 

1) Perhaps as selectable boxes Service Desk personnel can fill in?

Receive Alerts for:

      • Incident Creation
      • Incident Completion
      • Service Request Creation
      • Service Request Completion
      • Surveys

2) Perhaps as a end-user interface within Self-service? My Settings? (Is this possible?)

3) Perhaps as an Unsubscribe link in the Notification that takes the user to #2 above?

 

We are setting up Incident and have one location that does not want to receive the many, if not all, notifications. Once we get Self-Service in place they could check status on demand of their items.

Disable "new task" when incident is resolved or closed

Can someone tell us how to disable the new task buttons when an incident is status is resolved or closed?  Currently you can create a new task on an incident that is resolved or closed and you do not get the error message until you try and save.  We would like the button disabled.

Copying (ctrl+c) HTML Image from Outlook Pasting (ctrl+v) into WebAccess HTML field

Has anyone experienced an issue whereby copying HTML from the body of an Outlook email (including graphics) results in errors or Graphics being omitted.

 

The result of a copy and paste:

(place holder existed in the HTML field where the graphics should be (inWebDesk).

Taskmanager don't work after rollout 1709

Hello,

 

win10 v1703 is installed on our PCs. Installed with LDMS 2016.3.

Now we want to upgrade to 1709. We copied the 1703 package, Change the wim file and let it run.

 

Everything is ok. Win10 1709 is installed. But after that we want to install Office2016 and that dont work. I find out, the taskplaner don't work now. And so you can't install Office2016. I tried to find a solution, but I only see: after second reboot, after Installation of the provisioning Agent, the taskplaner failed. "Der Remotecomputer wurde nicht gefunden". "the remotecomputer wasn't find"

 

Anything I changed in my paket, after second reboot the taskplaner failed. The Taskplaner Service would'nt start. It's only with 1709 and LDMS Installation. A clean Installation with win10 from USB works fine.

 

Any Ideas for me?

Best practice using Devices with network-cards in docking-station like MS Surface Pro 4

Hi everybody! It seems that we have to implement Surface-Tablets in 2016 and manage them with Heat DSM.  This should be no problem as long as every User only uses his own Docking Station. The Surface itself has no network-card, this device comes with the docking station. DSM identifies the device with its MAC-Address and I think we maybe get problems when we try a reinstall with another docking-station.

Has anyone here experiences with devices like the Surface and are there any problems?

Are there any best practice advices from HEAT how to Deal with Tablet in future?

Application used to display HTML based dialogs has stopped working: Upgrading Agent 9.6 to 2017.3

When running a scheduled task to upgrade my agent from 9.6 to 2017.3 I get this error.

Any ideas?

 

UPDATE: This seems to happen when in a Server OS the IE enhanced security Configuration is ON.

And it only happens with a scheduled task (agent update/upgrade) if I run the new Agent manually the error doesn't happen.

Now I just need to figure out woh to go around it.....

Printermapping based on Client IP address not working anymore

Printermapping based on Client IP address not working anymore - initially this node was being applied at "Desktop created", i changed it to "At user logon" but makes no difference.

case:  thinclient logs on to RDS server; EM sees Client IP and maps printer IP of correct subnet (physical location)

used to work with EM 8.6.x after upgrade to EM 10.1FR3 (almost sure) does not work anymore.

Same with printermapping based on client MAC address: Thin client on certain floor/room - based on Mac address - then EM maps correct printer which is located on that floor/room.

All servers 2012 r2.

Forward to Workspaces or Self Service Portal URL depending on your current interface

We have a Self Service Portal Dashboard for New User Requests with a URL gadget that shows an image with some text.  The image has a direct link to the New User Request window in Self Service Portal.

 

We're trying to use Workspaces as well as the Self Service Portal on the same dashboard but when clicking on the image when in Workspaces it takes the user to a Self Service Portal page. 

 

I understand this can be broken up so that there's a separate gadget on the dashboard for the link, but doesn't look as good in the SSP or Workspaces.  Is there anyway to forward to a Workspace URL if originally coming from Workspaces in a similar way that you can leave out wd or ss from a URL to stay in webdesk or Self Service?

iOS configuration profiles - database variables

Hello,

 

I'm creating iOS configuration profiles for several services, like e.g. mail (IMAP). I've found out that there are variables for username ${UPN}$ or email address ${EMAIL}$. Is there maybe a general list of those variables or do they depend on the current setup?

 

What I especially need is a variable for the users common name.

 

Does anyone have experience with that? I'm using the configuration profile editor within Ivanti Endpoint Manager 2017.3 SU1.

Yesterday this came to my attention. Sometimes reports are blank. Doesn't matter the module. These are OOB reports.I can go to Service request and just click down the line. Some will render, some do not.
