Is it possible to perform a bulk assignment of a service catalog item?

Can I do a bulk assignment of a service catalog item to a set of users in Identity Director?

 

I have a created a new Service Catalog Item which is automating an existing manual permissions assignment.  I have over 900 qualified users and chose to skip service delivery for qualified users at the time I saved the Service Catalog item.  I want to make sure that once they no longer qualify the return workflow will trigger so I plan on assigning the service to each qualified user.  I would prefer to not do this by hand .

 

Is there a way to do this in the GUI or in the Automation Manager?  I would prefer to have transactions, but I am not against a database update if it comes down to.

Hallo,

wie kann man unter WinPE in der CMD-Box "Administrator: enteo debug window for Windows PE" automatisch einen Befehl starten lassen?

Hintergrund:

Unter "OSD Client" kann das Verhalten definiert werden, was beim Start des OSD Clients oder im Fehlerfall passieren soll.

Dann wird in der WinPE-Phase auch eine CMD-BOX "Administrator: enteo debug window for Windows PE" geöffnet ...

(... hab mal mit echo %username% ausgeführt. --> "SYSTEM")

 

In diesem Kontext möchte ich automatisch einen Befehl starten lassen.

An welcher Stelle kann das erreichen?

 

Also nicht mit diesem CMD-Box-Fenster...

verwechseln.

SSO Configuration for ISM

Hi community,

Could you please to explain for me the best way to implement SSO for ISM.

I've a simple case for my customer to show SSO authorization only in ISM.

I've a demo server with ISM based on Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows Domain Controller.

I need to login demo server ISM via my domain account and start ISM without any other authorisation.

 

What is a best way to configure and set params ?

Do you know how to implement SSO in Windows environment ?

journal email body fields

Hi,

 

I am have created some emails templates under the journal.email BO and have the template working fine on the form with one exception. 

 

If I put in a reference field into the email body from the service request such as $([ServiceReq#.]HRDepartureDate)  it works  

 

However it only works when it is the only item in the field value

 

 

If it is in a group of text like below it will not pull the field and instead put the the reference

I have been informed that you are leaving the Firm as of $([ServiceReq#.]HRDepartureDate) <br>

Attached please find a departure checklist for you to complete.  Once completed and signed,please return it to my attention before your departure date.

 

Has anyone run into this?

How do I check to see if we have a HEAT Discovery license?

Logged into the HEAT License Manager console.  There is a HEAT Discovery section but it is blank.  Does that mean we do not have a HEAT Discovery license.

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

We are working on Incident to transfer off old HEAT Classic. A popular feature was the ability to right-click on a field and run a Simple Search. This did not require a user to know the field name.

 

Now we will use the general Search/Find dialog. However, this lists fields names by the actual name of the field in the database.

 

1) Is there a way to change this listing to show the display names of the fields?

- Asking people to know that "Customer Name" is actually "ProfileFullName" and to look under "P" is a lot to ask :-/

 

2) How about a way to only show fields that would actually mean something to end users?

- I'd rather hide "ProfileLink_Category" and only show people what they absolutely need to see.

Approval on Self Service Mobile UI: how to show the cost item?

Good Afternoon,

 

in our organization we'll try to manage the concept of insert price quotation for some offers in the catalog: in the process we'll insert a "New ITFM Cost Item" and we want to request an approval of the purchease of the item.

 

How could we insert this information on the screen of the approval in the Self Service Mobile UI? Without it the Approvers don't have any information to do it or deny; should be OK also to have it in the mail notification of the approval.

Environment Manager package save as with PowerShell

Good afternoon clever types :-)

 

I am wanting to perform a 'save as' within Environment Manager to save a package with  a new name.

 

This is easy enough in the console, load the package and go to File | Save As

 

As I am trying to automate certain steps, I am trying to perform this using PowerShell by first using the BeginPackageVersionDownload followed by ContinuePackageVersionDownload with all the required parameters set.

 

The package does indeed download into an array which I then try to upload using BeginPackageVersionUpload but what happens is that the download package version is removed from the Management Center

 

Has anyone been successful with this procedure and if so, can you offer any pointers please

i've downloaded the EPM connector but when i drag and drop items in the dashboard i want to create nothing happens.

any ideas ?

 

if i use the OOTB dashboards i do have informations that shows up.

I had a query that was running that was under the Task module.

I had it set with the following

 

Escalation Watch via AssignmentAssocResolutionEscWatch (0...1 : 0...1) BreachedPassed equal to True

and it was working, now its not.

 

I have a number of Incidents that are breached, and its do to a task not being completed.  Any Idea how to show the tasks that have caused an Incident to breach?

For instance. If I have a spreadsheet with all required fields for Incident ticket creation.  Each line represents a Incident. Is there a way to import that into the Incident Object and generate tickets? One per line?

Hi All,

 

I am facing an issue and need help to solve it.

 

My issue:

I'm working on Change and Release modules that is build under the same object designer (Change Management) but with different process flow.

This two modules are integrated. Release ticket only can be create from Change ticket.

Inside Release process flow, there is also task process flow name Task Release that use to cater for approval task.

 

The problem is when user (approver) perform reject the Task Release ticket with end status, system will auto update main Release ticket to end status too.

And it should update Change ticket as well to other status, but right now it not auto update the Change ticket.

when using expression $([^Target_BO# where Target_Field == "value"] ReturnField) it appears that the value cannot be a field in the current business object unless it is the same name, perventing calculated values:

 

eg

My loginID is "12345"

 

If I was in a service request,

using  $([^Employees# where LoginID== "12345"]RecId) would return my RecId from the Employees business object

 

If I now enter "12345" into a new service request field called Target_ID

using  $([^Employees# where LoginID== Target_ID]RecId) would return an error stating Target_ID is not in the employees business object

 

It appears that a variable cannot be turned into a text value for the where clause.  I have tried "Target_ID", tried ToString(Target_ID) each time I obtain the same error.  Unfortunately service requests already have a field LoginId but this cant be used as it is not LoginID (slightly different). 

 

Anyone know how to make the variable into a string s the where clause will work or another expression that I can get the data reference from?

Building a Manager Field

Hoping someone can help.  I thought I linked it right, but must have missed something

 

In our LDAP connection we are going to start pulling in the Manager field from AD and putting it into the Supervisor(Manager) field in HEAT.

I have done a one time update in order to update the current database.

 

Right now I have a Manager listed for 90% of the active people (we are cleaning this)

 

The goal is this

I want to create service requests that do the following

 

1. On request - sends approval to the person's manager.  This is working, but the manager is not getting a notification to go and approve

 

What I tried to do...

Added in a Manager's email field into the Service request, with the hope that it would look at the Approver's name, and pull in the email.  Then I can send a notification based on this.

 

Let me know what screen shots anyone needs to help.

How to publish provisioning template to Portal?

I have seen references in some places about being able to publish provisioning templates in the portal.  But no matter what I do, I am unable to get it to show up in my portal.

 

About the Portal Manager

Adding items to Portal Manager

The default Portal Manager deployment doesn't include any launchpad items. Use software distribution to add items to Portal Manager.

Items you can add to Portal Manager include:

  • Mobile Android and Apple iOS packages
  • Universal links, streamed documents, and OS provisioning templates

 

This is what I ended up doing, though it did not work.

 

I created the os provisioning template and added actions.  In Distribution Packages I made a new universal package | Provisioning.  I included the template I had created before.  I created scheduled task, went into the task, associated it to my workstation, set it to policy push, kicked it off.  It shows as active in the progress window but nothing ever shows up in the Portal, even after I refresh it.  I can add and remove typical distribution packages and it is reflected in the Portal window, so I know I can get some things to work.

 

I looked around and have yet to find documentation showing how to do this.  Anyone know where such documentation would be?

FIND RECID OR OTHER VALUES FROM A BUSINESS OBJECT USING VALUE FROM ANOTHER FIELD

We have a need to find an unknown value stored in a field of a business object.

 

Unfortunately the only way we see in ITSM to do so is by using the RecID, which we do not know either.

 

Is it possible in ITSM to find a RecID using a field of known unique value?

 

Consider this to be the reverse of the EvalField function, which allows you to find a field value if you know the name of the business object, the RecID, and the field from which you want a value returned.

 

A simple implementation like GetRecID("BusinessObjectName", "UniqueField", "ValueToCheck") that returns a RecID should do the trick.

 

If function GetRecID as described above were available, the returned value could be used along with EvalField to find the value of a field even when the RecID is not known as follows:

 

EvalField("BusinessObjectName", GetRecID("BusinessObjectName", "UniqueField", "ValueToCheck"), "FieldToEvaluate")

 

Responses will be well appreciated.
