Hi, I'm new to Ivanti (running on-premise) and we're still in a pre-live environment. I am attempting to setup some integration points (unlocking accounts, resetting passwords, etc.) and I already have compiled scripts written in the Autoit script language that do these things. They run fine when i run them from the remote server, but I get odd results when running them through Ivanti as a QuickAction. Is anyone else here using Autoit scripts with Ivanti? Any advice to offer?

I've seen a few documents on getting the manager to import through LDAP.

Undelete a user
My organization is moving from Service Desk to Service Manager and I'm completely new to SM (so, be kind). Currently, I'm playing with SM in my lab. I have imported users from AD using LDAP import, but even though my employee record shows an organization unit of Information Technology...
when I look at List View, that same employee record shows Default in the org unit column
Trying to figure out why this is (if you know, please chime in here) and doing different things in my LDAP import, I decided to delete the user; thinking re-running the import would recreate the user. In Service Desk, the user was soft deleted and the way to recover the user was to modify the SQL record. Wondering if this is the case in Service Manager as well - and if so, what table holds the soft-delete value?

Permissions to allow admins to edit Portal Manager
I am trying to allow one of my admins the ability to create and edit Portal Settings under Agent Settings. They are now able to create a new portal setting, but they don't seem to have the permissions to edit them. I can't seem to find any information as to what permissions are needed to allow them to modify it. In fact, I can't even find a list explaining what all of the permissions are associated with either.
Does anyone have this information by any chance?
Best practice for Ivanti EM 10.1 with VMWare Horizon 7 Instant Clones?

Has anybody already a live proven "workaround" to be used for a best practice to use EM agent with VMWare Horizon 7 Instant Cloned virtual machines?
When we prepare the Golden Image we run ccacmd with imageprep. In the process of cloning however, VMware briefly starts the VM causing it to register it to the management server as a computer account with IT + [random number]
We are also missing the computer startup trigger cause the VM is a fork of the parent and the machine startup does not occur
So we already tried, with some particular issues. Hope to get some more info here.. Let me know.
How to bypass size limitations on SOAP-API method SearchRequest of Ivanti-ITSM?
I have a question regarding to the usage of the SOAP-API
The development environment is C#/VS2017. The Ivanti-ITSM tenant is in the cloud. I´m experienced with SOAP but I´m a rookie in Ivanti-ITSM.
The basic SOAP-operations to the Ivanti-ITSM-tenant in the cloud works fine. It works perfect when transfering single CIs in both directions.
But when trying to receive larger amount of CIs as result of a SOAP-API SearchRequest the exception "The maximum message size quota for incoming messages (65536) has been exceeded." occurs.
I understand the reason of this exception. So I tried to switch to transferMode="Streamed" in the basicHttpBinding. The result is that even opening of the connection throws an exception. I am convinced increasing the quota is not a good idea.
So what is the best practice to bypass the restriction of the size limitation on the SearchRequest? Is it possible to:
- get a paged result?
- turn on streaming on SOAP-Http-Binding?
- automatically export all CIs of a type via SOAP from cloud to a server on-premise to do the search locally?
- any other ideas?

CI Manufacturer affects the Model List
Hi Everyone,
We are adding several drop down menus such as Manufacturer and Model. From our previous asset management system, whenever we pick a manufacturer from the drop down window, it affects the model drop down menu and lists only the models for a particular manufacturer. How can this be done through Ivanti?

Tableau Angular2 Integration
Has anyone tried building an Angular2 application with tableau visualizations integrated in it using the Tableau JavaScript API.?
According to the documentation, you're supposed to include the following script in your file which will create a tableau global variable:

I'm not sure how to access this global variable within an Angular2 class..
Prevent duplicates
Hi Everyone,
Is there a way to prevent any duplicate entries? So example, if I enter the same Asset Tag, a message will appear saying that the asset tag is already in use.

Resource package drag'n drop
I'm trying to create a resource package in Automation 10.2.100 via drag 'n drop because it tells me with a lightbulb I should.
This does not seem possible, I only get the 'unavailable' mouse pointer when trying.
Am I missing something?

Removing a role added as part of Import and assigning another role.
Hi All,
We have an import scheduled to run every midnight that imports new users from AD based on a particular attribute used to filter only users requiring LANDesk access.
Everything works perfectly but we have a large number of external users who we need the default SelfServiceUser role to be removed when imported and another external role (SelfServiceGuest) added to the users profile.
Can't seem to figure this out, even if I remove the SelfServiceUser role it gets added back every day during import.
Can anyone advise the best way to do the below:
Remove SelfServiceUser role from user after import and assign another specified role.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and we might help others who might have similar issues.

Java 8 Patch-In-Place updates

I am having problems with the Patch-in-place setting on the Java 8 definition updates in Patch Manager. The setting is not working and appears to be installing the Java 8 updates in Static mode
I am therefore seeing multiple instances of Java on each device:
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Java 8? We did not experience this issue with Java 7 updates in Patch Manager and have not done anything differently in 8.
We are using LANDesk 9.5 (not service packed)

How to hide a cause code?
The Quick Action for "Waiting for customer" uses "Other" as the Cause Code. A decision has been made to remove "Other" from the pick list. The request is to add "Unable to Contact Customer". include that in the Quick Action, but hide it from users. Is it possible?
Change customer on an Incident from Internal Services to another user based on sender's email address
I have a lot of servers that send email alerts to the email listener which in turn creates incidents. Each server email address starts with the same three characters. The email options are set so that when a ticket is created from an email and there isn't an employee record, it links it to the Internal Services user.
How can I change the customer on the incident from Internal Services to another specified employee for the tickets that are created from an email that starts with those same characters?
