I have a need in my knowledge articles to reference the incident validation choices for Service and category and don't know how to link them into the editor as pull down choices.

How to restrict changing incident owner team on incident to administrators, managers, the current team members, and not assigned at all.
I was trying to do it with a read only rule, but can't get it right.
I want teams to be able to change the owner of an incident within their own team, but only managers or administrators can change to a different incident team. Anyone can assign a blank team the first time, usually populated by rule on creation.

Label files being denied but not actual software
In this case, the user is running an application called SparkPrint. When checking RA logs, I have not seen anything in the logs indication that the software EXE is being denied.
However, I noticed that the actual path where the label resides is being denied. This may or may not mean that there is an issue but figured I'd check anyway. I could create a process rule and include the path where the label file resides.
find all software installed on a single computer
Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a way to display a report of all software installed for a single computer.
I know I can go into the machine's inventory and look at the software installed, but there's no way to export that data only an Import function. Or is there a hidden export feature?

Is there a way to show/hide an attribute based on the selection of a multi-select window?
Basically I have a multi-select window and I want to hide/show another attribute based on the selection in this multi-select box, ideas?
This is the calculation I created, it did not work...it hides the attribute but does not display it back when the correct option is selected, and yes, I did make the multi-select box calculate on change

Initial Assignment Automation
Good afternoon,
Our present Incident process creates an incident and by default, assigns this incident to the Service Desk. Our current goal is to be able to allow the analyst creating the incident to choose which group to assign it to on creation, and if this value is left null, then to have the incident assign to the analyst creating it. I was able to modify the InitialAssignmentGroup attribute in the Incident object in the Incident Management module to not have a default value, thus prompting the user to populate the appropriate Support Group, but when testing this change, regardless of the group that is assigned, the incident assigns to Service Desk.
Currently, the beginning of the Incident process is below (which I believe is basically OOTB):
This assignment is what assigns to the Service Desk, as far as I understand it. Is there a value type I can set this to to use the group that is set in InitialAssignmentGroup?
So, to split my post into two questions:
1. How can we keep the initial assignment group from defaulting to Service Desk, and instead assign to the chosen group?
2. If that group field is left blank, how can get get the incident to assign to the analyst who is creating the incident? I imagine this will require a decision point added into the process, I'm just not sure how to proceed from there.
Any advisement is appreciated.
Adding an attachment in a Quick Action for an email to be sent prior to onboarding Service Request
I am working on the Item of Adding an Attachment to an email to a New Hire – for our Onboarding process Service Request. I created the QuickAction for the Service Request, and Added an Attachment to the 401K Attachment Quick Action, then add the quickaction to the workflow in the Service Request. I am able to add the attachment in the Quickaction but when I run the service Request – the emails generated does not have the attachment. (see document attached) –
Am I missing something?

kann mir jemand sagen, mit welchen Parametern die Patch-Installation aufgerufen wird. Diese sind ja von Hersteller zu Hersteller unterschiedlich. In den Logs ist mir nichts aufgefallen, mit welchen Parametern die Installation durchgeführt wird.
Ein kleines Beispiel ist die Software PDF Creator. Nach der Installation des Updates werden keine Verknüpfungen mehr angezeigt. Damit ich nicht für alle Produkte eigene Vorlagen erstellen muss,
würde ich gerne die Installation der Software und die Installation der Updates anpassen. Dazu muss ich aber wissen, mit welchen Parametern welches Produkte installiert wird.

I'm trying to create/modify reports in Cloud ISM and am having difficulty in Visual Studio with the SaaSAppModel.rds data source. What values need to be entered on these screens for a cloud user?
I have our DB name for the initial catalog, but using our tenant URL for the datasource doesn't work. We use AD authentication, so I assume Use Windows Authentication would work, but would like to see if anyone has any insight.
Error during upgrade to 2017.3: input string not in correct format
Hi all,
I am upgrading ISM to 2017.3 and I get the error below when trying to upgrade the Config DB to 2017.3 from 2017.2:
This error appears after the system prompts me to enter the credentials for the Admin user account for the ConfigDB. It successfully authenticates this user, and when the system starts applying metadata patches, then this error shows up.
Note that I successfully upgraded the system from 2016.1 --> 2016.2 --> 2017.1 --> 2017.2. I checked the system config wizard log file and I see the error below:
Not sure what can be causing this. Has anyone had this issue while upgrading to 2017.3 before and was able to resolve this issue?

C:\Program breaks Map Drive Actions
Ran into an odd scenario in our Citrix environment where we received a popup complaining about renaming a file on the root of C called 'Program'. I noticed I was missing my mapped drives (mapped with policy Map Drive actions - Not WSG or logon scripts) on servers with this file. EM logging shows the drive map action passed. Deleting the file fixed the issue. It is repeatable by simply adding a blank Program file to the root of C.
I don't have much more information but thought it was interesting enough to post.

Getting error when trying to add a new template in Ivanti Console. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

All your documentation says is .NET 4.5.2 or higher for all components? But when I tried to use auto updater for 10.2.600.0 I got a message saying I needed .NET 4.6 .

Modify Change Lifecycle ITSM
I'm running 2017.3 and am relatively new to ITSM. We are a smaller shop and want to modify the Change lifecycle. We want to be able to go from Status = Logged to Status = Pending Approval. There is an intermediate step, namely Requested, we want to skip. How best to accomplish this. I tried creating a quick action and adding that to the lifecyle so that When a Change is "Requested" Update Status to Pending Approval. However, when I test a change, it didn't work saying Pending Approval was not in validation list...
So my questions are:
- How do I get rid of the added action in the lifecycle (I deleted the quick action in the business object, yet the action and checkbox still remain when viewing the lifecycle)?
- How best to accomplish skipping over the Requested status?
