PatchLink W10 1803 - April Update (aka 2018-04) nicht vorhanden

im Patchlink fehlt bzw. ist das lt. MS angekündigte W10 1803 Feature Upgrade nicht sichtbar - ist das ein Fehler?

(soll ja lt. MS im WSUS vorhanden sein, seit 08.05.18)

 

Im Forum habe ich einen ähnlichen Beitrag gefunden: "Re: W10V1803 Patch " welcher aber nicht für DSM ist - könnte es sich hier um die gleiche Thematik handeln?

Quick Action - Prompt - Mandatory fields

Hi all

 

We have a "Resolve Incident" button in Incident which prompts for certain fields to be populated:

 

 

All the fields are mandatory, however if you fail to enter one in the Pop up, the below error appears:

 

You then lose all the information you put in to the other boxes, this is particularly frustrating if you have put a lot of information into the Resolution Details and forget to select Resolved first call.

 

Is there any way for the field to turn Red if not populated as in what happens in the main form:

Duplicate Device IDs overwriting Inventory records in Endpoint Manager

This article addresses how to resolve a specific issue with inventory records being overwritten due to duplicate device IDs in your environment caused by a misconfigured image or an imaging process that was done without correctly following your internal imaging process. Most likely the LANDesk agent was added to the image or was installed to a machine out of order during a new build.

 

How to determine if you are having a duplicate device ID issue resulting from the imaging process already including a LANDesk agent

 

Unfortunately, some of this is going to be you, your admin, or other console users saying that devices are just missing or not displaying in the network view. Noticing this issue may be occurring requires more detective work than a distinct and clear error.

If you are seeing weird behaviors with a batch of similar machines disappearing/reappearing in Inventory, review your Core server ldscan folder

 

[COREPATH]\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\ldscan\ErrorScan

 

When opening the various .scn files (.scn file extension is the OOTB default for EPM, your environment may be configured differently), you will be looking for the following information:

Device ID ={***************************************}

Device Name =***********

Network - TCPIP - Host Name =************.domain

 

If you see multiple files with matching device IDs but different device name/hostname then you probably have an issue with how the machine was imaged

 

The reason these items are showing up in ErrorScan is because the core doesn't recognize the information even though it thinks it already has a matching device ID. Prove this by looking at the LANDesk Inventory Server warnings in the Application section of Event Viewer on the core

 

Run eventvwr.msc

Expand Windows Logs

Click Application

You can filter or sort by Source (this may take a few minutes)

 

 

How to resolve duplicate device IDs overwriting inventory records caused by an image with the LANDesk agent

 

NOTE: As a user with Administrative privileges on the client device

 

1. STOP all LANDESK related services

 

2. Delete the following Registry Keys for 32bit clients:

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\Common Api\UniqueID

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\Common Api\UniqueID

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\Inventory\LogonHistory\Logons

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\WinClient\SoftwareMonitoring\MonitorLog contents

 

          Delete the following Registry Keys for 64 bit clients:

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intel\LANDesk\Common Api\UniqueID

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LANDesk\Common Api\UniqueID

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LANDesk\Inventory\LogonHistory\Logons

          HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\WinClient\SoftwareMonitoring\MonitorLog contents

 

3. C:\ProgramData\LANDesk (delete the entire directory and subdirectories, this is a hidden directory)

 

4. Run Security Scan - look for this line "Sending current settings information to core. Failed: Core has no inventory data for this computer" (this is important to make the inventory scan work, otherwise it will fail and you will see the entry in Event Viewer)

    Without this step, I was encountering an error stating "LDISCN32: The inventory server [CORE] did not respond"

 

5. Open command prompt and run C:\"Program Files (x86)"\LANDesk\LDClient\LDISCN32.EXE /V /F /SYNC

You do not have to wait for Security Scan to finish, it will probably fail anyways until it can properly sync up with the right inventory information

Hallo,

 

wir haben einen Standort auf dem ein Depot läuft mit OSDProxy. Hier können unsere PCs mit Uefi Boot nicht betankt werden, da auf dem dortigen DHCP Server Option 43, 66 und 67 für die POE Telefone konfiguriert ist. Der Bildschirm wird blau und der Rechner schaltet sich ab. Ich weiß dass man einen IP-Helper oder Relay agent einrichten soll. Ich habe z. B. einen Relay Agenten auf unserem Router installiert und diesem mitgeteilt, dass alle Anfragen auch an den DSM OSDProxy weitergeleitet werden soll, dennoch funktioniert es nicht.

 

Kann mir bitte jemand sagen, wie ich den DHCP konfigurieren muss, damit das betanken des Rechners wieder über PXE Boot funktioniert?

Indicator for user that workflow is running

Hello!

 

There's a specific business process which I have mapped to a workflow for the end to end process. This is linked to a button with a series of checkboxes on the form used for input, when users press the button (Invoke workflow quick action) it sets the workflow off. The problem I'm facing is that the workflow is likely to still be running when the user returns to the form and they have to refresh several times manually in order to see the changes - I want to ultimately make the ISM experience more intuitive, manage expectations and reduce the time clicking the refresh button.

 

Does anyone have any ideas/experience on how to add a visual indicator so that they know when to refresh (or refresh automatically after said time)?

E.g. Expression label linked to the workflow which shows as completed (think you would have to refresh anyway); stay in the loading screen until complete

Emails linked to Goldmine with a wrong time

Goldmine 2018

Outlook 2016

User is in Mountain Time Zone, all the emails linked from her Outlook are 6 hours ahead (GMT). Emails linked at 4pm MT will show up in Goldmine as 10pm. We have checked the local clock on the user machine, time on the server where Goldmine sits, time on Outlook web and all showing the correct time.

 

Any suggestions on how this might have happened?

Call Workspaces from 3rd Party Web App?

I'm a Remedy developer and years ago before Remedy migrated to their web interface and we had the client we had the functionality to be able to click a button and call the old LANDesk toolbar with User credentials being passed through so it would quickly find their machine(s) and then the support technician could quickly remote, push software, etc. When Remedy migrated to the web app we lost this functionality without putting in the development hours to build an asynchronous pluggable protocol or some sort of URI mapper. Then the idea just fell by the wayside as folks got used to launching the tool bar manually and running the search.

 

Well now I had an enhancement request to bring that functionality back if possible. So does anyone know if there is a way to call Workspaces from a third party web app while passing through, say a User's logon information, so the technician can quickly see the User's machine and then quickly remote, push software, etc.

 

I know I may be using the wrong terms, I apologize since this is outside of my wheelhouse.

Occupation of the DB "TEMPDB"

Hi all,

 

We have the SQL database of IVANTI which is 13 GB and generates a 120GB occupation of the DB "TEMPDB" which are due to the SQL transactions, is this a normal behavior for a fleet of 4000 machines? Or should we take corrective action because it saturates our shared SQL server with other applications.

 

We have the solution IVANTI 2017.3 SU2 on VM server Windows 2012 R2

Use scripting to hide the keyboard on any screen where a specific text string is found.

In my Velocity project Host settings I have Keyboard Visibility set to "Show".

Some screens are purely menu item screens and so the keyboard is not necessary.

Menu screens do have one input field for entering the menu item number instead of tapping the menu item itself.

This is due to the menu screen being a green-screen that is being converted to a modernized screen using predictive formatting and a script on WLEvent.on(ParseScreen) with Session scope.

 

When we navigate to the screen:

1.) It gets modernized by predictive formatting and the script runs to convert text lines to menu item elements that predictive formatting did not recognize as menu items.

2.) The cursor is positioned to the input field,

3.) The keyboard pops-up.

 

I tried using Keyboard.toggleVisible(false) in the WLEvent.on(ParseScreen) script but it did not work. I assume Session scope is the wrong place to try to change visibility of the keyboard.

Does someone have a script I could run on Field scope that would hide the keyboard if specific text strings are found on the screen, or is there some other way to accomplish this with scripting?

 

I don't want to use screen Templates in order to keep future maintenance to a minimum when application screens are added or changed.

Network Discovery during provisioning

I have been searching for a way to turn on network discovery for all profiles during provisioning but I have yet to find a way,  information I can find is either old or has spotty results.  I have tried various methods in unattend.xml they are not working, and usually making things worse by keeping the agent from running after CTOS.  Does anyone know if there is a way to turn on file and print sharing during provisioning so that the OSD doesn't pop up asking for network visibility?  We have found that if someone isn't there to answer that, then file and print sharing remains off and provisioning fails. 

Is it possible to add an "Admin only" Cancel ticket to a service request, a change and/or an incident?

In our LANDesk Service Desk, I have various tickets that have fallen through the cracks over time - the approval process in a request was not followed by a user, an incident converted to a change broke, or other actions that rendered a ticket stalled. There are no available actions for me as the Admin to go around the ticket and get it closed, or even cancelled.

 

I have had this happen with Service Requests, with Incidents, and a Change ticket. Some tickets we marked as "VOID" but what I would like to do is Cancel them if I know another ticket was created in its place. I need a way as the Admin (only) to get rid of them basically. Any suggestions?

Adding a control to the middle of a Form mega-cell

Hi!  I'm trying to add an item to the middle of a OOTB form, and I'm hitting a wall.

 

The form I am trying to modify is called Incident.DefaultForm.  For those who don't know it, this is what I see in the left-most column:

All of these fields (controls) are located in a single cell (highlighted in blue).  I'm trying to put a label (or a button, or a field, or anything) between Impact and Urgency.  But if I highlight Impact and issue the "Add Row After" command, I get a row added at the bottom of the right column.  If I just drag it over from the explorer window, it ends up at the bottom of the left column, even if I released it over the Impact field.  And once it is dropped, I can't move it up or re-arrange any of the items in this cell.

 

I'm more than willing to accept that I've missed something amazingly simple here.  I just can't find a single place where the manuals (or other experts I know) can explain how to add a field to this single mega-cell, or how to break the mega-cell back into individual cells, so I can re-merge them at the end of the exercise.

 

My hope is that somebody out there knows how to accomplish this without deleting the entire left-hand side of the form and building it again by hand.  I'm even willing to hand-hack the XML form definition if I have to.

 

Any hints/advice would be greatly appreciated.  And, it goes without saying, thanks in advance for any suggestions you can offer.


How to configure journal email to show user display name with the standard from email?

I would like the emails sent from a journal to be sent with the users display name so that the recipient of the email will see the user display name rather than the generic from email set as the listener email.

 

Fields I have reviewed in the form are FromAddr and FromDN.

 

How can I configure this?

Hallo Community

 

Ich bin nach langer Abwesenheit wieder mal im Forum aktiv. Wir konnten nun unsere W10 Clients von W10 1607 auf W10 1709 erfolgreich mit dem Inplace Upgrade aktualisieren.

Nun sind wird gerade dabei, dass Installationspaket für Windows 10 1709 zu erstellen. Bis auf die Default Sprache (Keyboard Layout) konnten wir bisher alles einrichten.

 

Bei W10 1607 hatte ich bereits schon mal die Problematik aber durch die Verschiebung des DSM Forum zu Ivanti ging sehr vieles bei mir verloren (Chats sowie Posts).

 

Nun stellt sich uns die Frage, wie wir das Keyboard Layout Default auf DE-CH setzen könnten?

 

Ich danke euch im Voraus für die Tipps.

Hi,

 

I have an Environment where initial configuration of Windows agent scan option was enabled with auto fix. Which normally take much more time when user run Security scan or policy run the Security scan on the Windows Machine.( Endpoint Manager 2017.x)

What is the impact if we disable auto fix on windows agent configuration settings?

1. Do I need to update all client with the latest installer or

2. I can just disable the option and create new client for new install or

3. Does it automatically detect of disable auto fix so it don't try auto fix when first time scan or consecutive scan?

Logging tickets in LanDesk by sending an email with more details/fields filled in

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere.

 

We were looking to use LANDesk in our small IT team to log tickets to ourselves when we are out in the field.

Instead of being really busy....out in the field and resolving an issue for where there is no ticket logged...instead of asking a customer to log a ticket after we have resolved the IT issue and left site....we would log the ticket ourselves by sending an email

via our mobile mail client.

It does work at present but not all LANDesk fields are populated.

Fields such as Service field, Call type, and Urgency fields are not populated.

 

When the tickets come in, after you have mailed them into the LANDesk system the fields populate are: summary, details and response level.

 

Work area - can this one be manipulated from within the email that you send to the ServiceDesk mail address to log the ticket in LANDesk?

 

As seen in the screengrab below....these are the fields that are filled when it arrives into our ServiceDesk queue
