How to C$ into a PC

We used to use a program called Lansweeper, but are shifting to solely using Ivanti End Point Manager.  I have been looking for a way to C$ into a machine from the Management Console and have not found how to do this.  Does anyone happen to know?

Application Manager 10.1 - Renaming files takes 4+ seconds

I have this issue, and uppgraded application manager from  Application Manager 10.1 Agent (10.1.286.0)  to Application Manager 10.1 Agent (10.1.455.0)

But I still get the same i/O performance issues. ??

How can we get all the codes for fields in our GoldMine? We need them to import mass amount of records in GoldMine from CVS files. We need that to ensure we set up the import headers/mapping for the columns correctly.

We are randomly seeing users which are getting the above errors when trying to launch either Word or Excel.

The error stops either application from working. Our support teams are also saying they have seen it with other Office applications too. Other people can log into the same PCs using accounts that are using the same personalization templates and they are fine.

 

It's happening both on our Desktop and Citrix infrastructure.

 

The issue is resolved by deleting all registry settings for the 'Microsoft Office 2016 / 365 group'.

 

We have implemented the fix detailed in 'Office 2016 applications failing to launch or hanging intermittently ' but it hasn't made any difference.

 

I have turned on as much client logging as possible to the local appsense client log, but there aren't any personailzation errors.

 

I've exported the registry from one of the faulty users and imported into a blank user and the issue does not occur, even when logging into the same PC.

 

We do not see this issue at all on those user groups that are not using this personalization template.

 

Has anyone had similar issues or got any ideas?

Service Desk Integration with Twitter

Hello,

 

We were asked if it is possible to integrate Twitter with Ivanti Service Desk. Like whenever a tweet is posted or someone tweets on the corporate account, this will be created as a call in Service Desk. Is this possible?

 

If we manage to get these as RSS Feed, can we use this to generate calls in Service Desk?

Filter to only show Service Related CI's within a chosen Service CI Structure

We have a Change window in WebDesk with a dropdown menu to choose the "Service CI Structure".  We would like to filter a second dropdown window "Service Related CI's" to show only the CI's within the chosen "Service CI Structure".

 

I've tried to put a filter on "Service Related CI's" on Runtime value of the CI's in the Structure which only returns 1 CI in the dropdown and not all of the CI's in the collection.  Am I doing something wrong?

Use a calculation to find a 7 digit customer number in the title or text attributes of a Note on an Incident

I have been tasked with getting our Landesk Ivanti system to be able to sent our Incident reference number in an email to another company's servicedesk ticketing system and in turn extract their Incident Ref number from the email they send back to us, so that both service desk can send and receive creation emails and update emails with as little manual (human) involvement as possible. Their system is Microsoft's Cloud Provance  by the way and is currently set to send out their incident number in the both the subject and body text of the emails they send to us. Getting two entirely in related servicedesks to communicate with each other obviously begs a lot of practical questions but I'm not going to get into all that now, I'm just focusing on get their incident number so I can send them a Reminder back with their incident number in first part of the subject.

 

As far as I can tell the only way I can in do this inside our newly and especially designed Incident process, is to use a calculation to find numbers in a the text or body of the update or creation email note. I don't know a huge amount about calculations, but I've read Calculation Writing Tutorial - 4.  Working with Collections and Loops and done a few simple experiments but I was wondering if anybody has tried to use calculation to find and copy 7 digit number in attribute in a Note Title or Text body?

 

I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who has any feedback or has tried to get their Landesk ITSM to send emails as part of a process to a 3rd party/external 'automated reply email' system or Helpdesk/Servicedesk product.

Cannot delete windows settings subgroup files from PersOps

When I try to do a custom task, Windows settings, Manually edit current settings for selected group, Subgroup name, and delete a file or folder it fails? I can however delete the folder above using quick tasks. This is no good as I need to delete the file or folder the file is in for cache clearing tasks. Any idea? No clue in the error in audit:

Type - Delete File Fail

Status - Error

Description - Delete file failed for '{CSIDL_APPDATA}\Softgrid Client\JRE8U45.CTX-xxxxxxxx

 

This can be done using the Personalization Analysis tools in EM console.

 

Any ideas? This is using a support user account and also a master admin account.

Personalization Server error "Access Denied"

Hallo community,

 

hopefully you will be able to help me out here. I'm about to go nuts over this.

 

I am trying to connect to a freshly installed Personalization Server but constantly running into an error:

 

"Your user role has been updated. Reconnect to the Personalization Server to refresh your active role."

 

Even tried to reinstall everything but to no avail.

 

Anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Problem with if-else in OS deployment

Hello everyone,

 

I've got a problem here with OS deployment. As we updated to version 2017-3 this year I decided to clean up our OS templates a little bit. Before the update, we had a single template for desktops and for notebooks with nearly the same settings

except one or two exceptions.

 

Now I've build a Windows 10 template with an if-else configuration. I created a variable that looks if the device got a battery or not. It works fine without any problem.

Sadly it doesn't seem to work with a Windows 7 template. The settings are, in most parts, equal to the Windows 10 template and it has the same if-else configuration.

The deployment stops at "Configure Target OS". The Task runs into the error 1163.

It think there is a problem with the if-else configuration, but it has the same settings like the Windows 10 one.

I hope you've got a quick solution for that. Thank you so far.

"Download pending" status in Portal Manager after Windows suspends.

Hi, the reason of this thread is the following.

 

I use Ivanti Portal Manager in a lot of computers in my organization. When I start Windows and try to install any software from Portal Manager, it works fine. But after the computers get suspended (and resumed), locked or just used for other things for a couple hours, the Portal Manager stops working ok.

When any user try to install a software, the progress bar in the Portal stays in "Download pending" forever, at the moment the only solution I've found was restart the computer, but is not practical at all for the user...

I've tried restarting manually the Ivanti services but doesn't work, and looked for similar posts in the community but doesn't found anyone reporting the same problem, which is weird.

 

Ivanti 2017 v3.

Windows 8.1, 10

Inspect not working on Windows 7 machines

We have recently installed Ivanti EPM 2017.3.  (I have not got as far as installing any SU's yest)

 

We have begun to roll out new Windows 10 PC's along side our current Windows 7 PC's and all devices have now had a new agent built from the new EPM 2017.3 server installed.

 

Pretty much everything seems to be working fine but if we right clikc a Windows 7 device in the console and select Inspect the window states that real time moitoring is not enabled.  I can see in the agent though that it is.

 

This is the same agent on the Windows 10 PC's and Inspect works fine on those.

 

Inspect worked on the Windows 7 PC's before we upgraded to 2017.3 from 2016.3 so I am unsure why this would stop working now.

 

The only thing that has changed is the new server and the new agnet on all the PC's.

 

Anyone any thoughts why itwould pick on Windows 7 PC's?

Should the Resolution Progress Bar display escalations?

Analyst find it confusing that the Response Progress Bar for the Incident ticket does not display escalation points like the Resolution Progress Bar does.  Should the response progress bar display when the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd escalation will occur?

 

This is an example of the Response Target.  The Met and Breach are the same and does not display when the 1st escalation occurs.

This is an example of the Resolution Target displaying 1st escalation and breach.

Can the response target display when the escalations occur?

APM Patch Performance

Ich wollte mal fragen ob bei euch das installieren von Updates auch so unheimlich langsam ist? Das Scannen funktioniert super schnell, das installieren von Updates dauert aber ewig. In meinem Beispiel mal eine Win10 1703 Installation. APM hat hier ca 30 Patches zu installieren und hat dafür fast 4Std gebraucht. Die OS Installation und die Apps waren in 30min fertig. Hier mal ein Screenshot:

 

 

Um 18:37 waren alle eScript Pakete abgeschlossen und die Patches kamen. Dafür hat er dann bis 22Uhr gebraucht. Was mir dabei auffällt sind vorallem die kleinen Pakete. Zum Beispiel braucht der Patch für Notepad++ 50s für die Installation. Wieso? Mein selbst paketiertes eScript braucht auf der selben Maschine 3s für die Installation:

 

 

Das zieht sich durch sämtliche Freeware. Auch die Visual C Updates brauchen um einiges länger als meine eScript Pakete. Ein AV Schutz ist hier nicht aktiv, auch kein Windows Defender...

 

Könnt ihr das nachvollziehen? Ist das bei euch auch so?

 

PS: DSM 2017.1 4329 mit APM.

cannot open attachments added in self service by user

any advice for attachment errors? i'm getting errors when a user in selfservice raises a request and adds an attachment on submission.

 

the attachment saves but when an analyst opens in WebAccess i get the below error. the faulty attachment also stop the notification from sending as i have the multi Attachment field on the reminder window

 

i know there was an fault with the multi-attachment field but i thought this was no resolved

 

we are running version 2017.3

 

any help would be appreciated

Hi Community,

 

After the installation of Suite 2018.1, users receive the error in the appendix of a policy change request.

The article https://community.ivanti.com/docs/DOC-48322 describes the error but only one mail address is entered.

Is there a solution?

Is this "actually" possible? 2018.1 Self Service Portal

The 2018.1 Release is coming, and we want to use it as an opportunity to revamp our HOME Portal Page to coincide w/ the revamp of the Catalog.

We really like the demo given in the webinar, and want to duplicate it to some extent. The problem is I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of to

replicate this, and the tools are the exact same as they always were, and I can't get the LOGO to show up on top like this. There is no option in the

widget configurations to allow for it. I even went so far as to try an HTML <img src="image"> in the Source of the data source, but it just eats it

when you save.

 

Has anyone tried and succeeded at this? If not can someone from IVANTI please reach out to me and help?

das Paketieren ist soweit kein Problem, jedoch scheint Apple nicht gerade freundlich gegenüber zentralen Einstellungen zu sein.

 

Wie kann ich z.B den Updatecheck deaktivieren, die EULA automatisch annehmen usw.

 

Welche zentralen Einstellungen gebt Ihr mit und vor allem wie???
