Is there a way to log or alert on users plugging in unauthorized external devices or peripherals? We had a user install a WebCam and would like to know when and where this is occurring.

kann hier jemand was genaueres kommunizieren wie es mit DSM weitergeht!
Es machen bereits einige Parnter Werbung mit Migrationsprojekte von DSM zu SCCM.
Es scheint so als würde ivanti DSM nicht mehr weiter entwickeln was so auch anscheinend beschlossen wurde.
Was ist das offizielle Nachfolge Produkt vom ivanti? EPM? Was kann das ? Welche Teile von DSM werden übernommen?
Wohin sollen die DSM Kunden Migriert werden?
Ziel kann es ja nicht sein dass alle DSM Kunden zu SCCM wechseln....?
Content packs for Automated software distribution using Service Desk 2017.3 and Endpoint Manager 2017.3
Does anyone know where I can get any basic content packs to set up automated software distribution, or failing that any guides on how to set this up.
All links I can find in this section of the community point to now dead Landesk sites, all links within the latest version of the software also point to dead pages so at the moment it is not a very useful tool!

excel 2016 and excel 2010, unable to switch workbooks
I have an issue with 10.1 fr3 em, I've built a new environment side by side and Migrated a few users over with servers.
one issue I have is that when users open citrix published excel on server 2008 r2 citrix xa 6.5 RU7. Excelhooks are enabled so they can have more than one work book open in the same instance.
if the user goes to the task bar and selects the second excel spreadsheet, it does not get focus, If I disable em, or remove excel.exe from personalization i can launch and switch between applications fine.
I've raised tickets with appsense and havent really got any where, Citrix havent really been of any use either, the fact if i stop em and personalization and this works suggests the issue is in Appsense area anyways. but I was hoping some one else may have come across this before or have some suggestions
Special Characters in table.fieldname escaping WHEN statements
We have a couple characters within a field for our Survey's in our ticketing system. This is causing our data model to escape a 'CASE WHEN' SQL statement we are mapping out. I presume it is the " / " and the single quote in " don't " that is the cause of the early escapes. I tried changing = to LIKE with out success. Is there a wildcard I can put in place or a regex like [/] or ['] that I can use?

I want users to be able to update drivers and BIOS easily if needed. Or by request.
My current setup works but doesn't display the GUI when it runs. Is there a way to elevate the process or redirect the output to the current user? Or maybe whitelist the thininstaller.exe program to the operating system?
APM - viele Patch Pakete schlagen fehl

wir haben hier ein Problem seit dem wir auf APM gewechselt haben. Wir sind auf DSM 2017.1.4350.
Wir haben unter dem Konfigurationsreiter festgelegt das Patch Installation 3x wiederholt werden. Jetzt haben wir auf sehr vielen Clients das unterschiedliche Patche auf rot gehen ohne Rückgabe Meldung:
Startet man den PC neu und setzt die Pakete auf reinstall gehen die Pakete plötzlich auf "Not applicable, superseded or fixed externally". Spannend dabei, wenn die Pakete ja rot sind, sind sie ja schon 3x versucht worden zu installieren. Von einer anderen Quelle werden definitiv keine Updates installiert. WSUS ist nicht vorhanden und Windows Updates komplett deaktiviert. Auch hab ich das nochmal auf den Testclients geprüft ob die GPO wirklich zieht. Die Windows Updates sind aus.
In den Logs werden die Pakete teilweise auf "complete" gemeldet und trotzdem gehen die Pakete auf gelb oder rot.
Ich hab ebenfalls beobachtet das Pakete grün geloggt werden. Wenn der PC dann nicht direkt neugestartet wird und das APM erneut los läuft, gehen die Pakete plötzlich wieder auf reinstall und projezieren dieses Verhalten.
Hat hier Jemand ähnlich Probleme?

Is there a way to send a custom message Popup to a machine?
We are not restarting systems after updates/other but we need the machines to be restarted after certain time (once a week)
We would like to send a "A reboot is needed" popup, can EPM do this?

a policy is started again and again
Hello
I have a policy which will be started again and again. But the policy is already installed and the status of the policy for the PC's is compliant.
If the policy starts again and again (also after a niinst32 /ai) it does not much. It does not re-installing the software. It just run's for about 2 seconds.
Can anybody give me a tip how I can find out why the policy runs although the status is compliant?

Software Monitor Reporting
Hello All,
We have a recently noticed something strange with our reporting in Ivanti.
With the semi regular security vulnerabilities in FireFox we have to run reports on versions installed in the field.
What we are noticing is that we get duplicate entries for the same Asset/System usually due to two different versions of FireFox.
Upon physical inspection of the machine there is actually only one version installed on the Asset/System.
Should the software monitoring be updating the version of the software or creating a new entry for the newer version?
Obviously this is causing major issues with our reporting.
My manager has asked that I reach out to the community for assistance to try to remediate this.
Also note that we are not currently patching with Ivanti although I am going to try to push for it at least for 3rd party apps.
We are using WSUS for Windows OS/Office patching.
I appreciate any feedback or assistance.

Some users stuck on login "Applying User Policies"

First let me introduce short our environment:
-Citrix Xendesktop 7.6 / PVS 7.1
-DesktopNow 10.1
-Imprivata 5.4
-Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise VDI
-Bitdefender Best Tools
-Hyper-V Hypervisor
We have some varying users who loginand they are stuck on "Applying User Policies". However after a while the desktop is available in the background, because one of the few moments when I can reproduce this issue it is possible to start cmd using Windows+R or other applications. I can see these applications in Desktop Director but not on the VDI.
- Every particular user could have this issue, it is difficult to reproduce this issue!
- Users with this issue cannot be related to a specific AD group membership.
- With EMTools logging we noticed some timing gaps between EM actions for 2 minutes or so, but we don't know why.
- Exclusions in Bitdefender are in place.
- CitrixCTXHooks are in place
- Application EventLog VDI: 6003, 1300, 6005 when this issue occurs on the VDI
Every day about 1800 sessions (active&disconnected) and a average of 20 users experience this issue.
Maybe someone has seen this behavior before and can give us some direction to the root cause of this issue.
Best methods for testing your CSA functionality
About 3 months ago our CSA Windows box was compromised and our Systems department rebuilt a linux box and just confirmed it was functioning. I do not believe it is functioning properly as I get CSA errors when trying to Remote Control PCs not on the network.
My question is, what is a simple way to test for proper CSA functionality when you have no access to the Core or CSA box? Thanks in advance for all your help.

LANDesk MBSDK API
So I'm trying to automate some of my repetitive tasks in LANDesk (but not fully) And I'm so close I'm just stuck on 2 last components.
I have created a program to pull and compose a list of required vulnerability updates for 2 specific Device Scopes that are either not set to Autofix and/or not in a specific Custom Group. I did this with a SQL query because there was too much to pull together that it didn't make sense to do in API alone.
So I've figured out the API to move it to the Custom group if it is not there, but I can't figure out how to download the required patches if they are not downloaded and I can't figure out how to set the AutoFix flag for a specific Scope and not globally.
I have no problem querying information to display from SQL but I would rather have the safety net of an API to actually make changes.
Are my 2 missing components even possible in API?
I am currently on LDMS 9.60 SP2 but am in the process of moving to Ivanti 2017.3 so an API that would work on both would be ideal but if it's only gonna work on 2017.3 that's fine too.
SLA not running on request management
We have a few SLAs set up within our Service Desk, a few on Incident and one or two on Request - the SLAs on Incident are running without issue.
Our SLAs are different and do completely different things however both run on the same calendar. The request SLA is set up to send reminders to approvers that they have not yet approved a request, as per the image below. For some reason this does not appear to be firing at all - any guidance? It is the default response level on Request using the default calendar.
As the incident SLA is working as normal I know background services are working as expected. We are on version 2017.3.

ClientSideEnableWOL.vbs agent install issue / Custom agent setup
Hello folks,
I am having an issue installing an agent because of antivirus control that prevents wscript running in temp directories (so it hangs on the ClientSideEnableWOL.vbs script and won't continue until you click OK). Is there a way to edit the agent installation to remove this and perhaps other items I don't want to deploy when using the self extracting agent? Is there another way to deploy the agent with a smaller file? I'm having issues finding this information.
Network security doesn't block all traffic
I guess it's due to my lack of experience with Workspace Control but I just don't get it:

Agent is working, a user session is visible in the Console for this agent. Diagnostics > User Sessions > specific session shows NetGuard is 'Blocking'
Security > Network Connections > Authorized Connections only has a minimal set of enabled rules

Security method: Whitelisting
Allow sessions on computers not running NetGuard: NOT checked

When I log in to the machine it seems to work quite well which actually means it seems not to block very much.
Only when I start doing something (SEARCHUI.EXE for example when using Start menu search) I get a message 'Access to Network connection denied'.
But I'm perfectly able to do all kinds of stuff like 'net use %homeshare%' from a cmd window.
I would expect every connection I did not explicitly authorize to be blocked. What am I missing here?
