GMPE v2018.2.0.60339

GM Connect v2018.2.0.60341

Windows Server 2016

 

GM server is on a Windows Server 7

GM Connect installed on the 2016 Server

 

Created self-created certificate and attached it to Default Website

Followed all other instructions and when I enter the https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx./goldmine/web from a browser outside the network, I'm happy to see the GMWeb sign-in screen.

 

When I enter one of our usernames and appropriate passwords, the message "You are already logged in as: "MASTER" logout and try again."  pops up.

I checked GM to make sure these users were not already logged into GM.  I opened Computer Management on the GM server and looked in Open Files and closed everything related to GoldMine.

I then tried at least 3 different usernames with their correct passwords.  Each time it fails, I have to go into Computer Management on the GM server and close the GM open files for user GMWEB (our designated username for connection).

 

Any thoughts?  I'm using Port 443 and Port 85 (80 is being used for a program on the main server).  I changed the binding to reflect port 85.

 

I appreciate any help.


2017 Provisioning GUI will not load

I have two devices that work with our 2016 core but one does not work with the new 2017 core. With the computer shown to the right, it states that  X:\ldprovision\ldprovision_x64.exe is not compatible with the Windows you're running.

 

Any thoughts?

gibt es für die Wavelink Android Version eine Konfiguratorsoftware ? Ich würde gerne die Wavelink Tastatur deaktivieren wollen und eine spezielle Konfiguration erstellen.

Agent upgrade corrupt from 2017.3 to 2018.1

I have upgraded med core server from 2017.3 to 2018.1.

Everything works perfect except Agent upgrade on my clients.

 

The method i have tried:

 

1. Push out agent from console - agent is upgraded but loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

2. Manually installed agent on client - agent is upgraded but loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

3. Manually uninstalled agent, rebooted, install new agent - loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

5. Manulaly uninstalled agent with switch /FORCECLEAN, NO reboot, installs new agent - loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

4. Manually uninstalled agent with switch /FORCECLEAN, rebooted, install new agent - WORKS!

 

But i cant reinstall agents manually on all computers....

The best would be if i can uninstall the agent WITHOUT rebooting and then install the new agent and not loosing contact with CORE.

 

Any ideas? Anyone who had the same problem?

OS Instalation UEFI

Hallo,

 

ich habe gerade ein komisches Verhalten bei einer OS Installation, vielleicht hat jemand eine Idee.

 

Legacy und UEFI haben beide funktioniert. Jetzt aber leider nicht mehr. Jetzt funktioniert nur noch eine Installation im legacy Modus.

Versuche ich eine Installation über UEFI, dann beginnt der Download.

Nur sehe ich keinen Fortschrittsbanken sondern nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm. Kurze Zeit später kommt dann ein blauer Hintergrund (hier vermute ich mal das gestartete WinPE).

Aber dann passiert erstmal nichts bis nach 1-2 Minuten der Computer ausgeschaltet wird. Das Verhalten kann ich an verschiedenen Computern nachstellen.

 

Hat jemand eine Idee was hier falsch läuft?

Edge History Personalisation - Anyone managed to get this working?

Anyone managed to Personalise Edge History on Win10 1703/1709/1803 either via hiving or Personalisation Server or another method?
Environment Manager 10.x / Windows 10 compatibility - states this is not supported at the moment - Any update on this one?

 

I'm using EM 10.1 FR4 and are capturing IE11 history successfully via windows settings groups. All other Edge Personalisation is working (reading lists and favorites etc)

Running win10 1703 and 1709 - Citrix XenDesktop 7.x non persistent on PVS and MCS.

ivanti EPM 2018.1 Remote Control Bug

Hi,

 

we have multiple Remote Control problems, since the update from 2017.3 SU3 to 2018.1

 

1. Remote Control on virtual machines blurres the whole view of the user, so that they can't see anything of what the support is doing

2. If the user has 2 or more monitors only the 1st monitor is mirrored to the support. The second monitor only shows the initial view, but does freeze after starting the remote control. Only the user can see the changes on the second monitor.

3. The new Remote Control WS only shows 1 monitor. Furthermore seems the mouse cursor to be like 1 cm beside your cursor that you see, so you don't know what you are clicking.

4. I don't know if it is intended but the Remote Control WS translate the supporters keyboard to the users keyboard. The problem for this is that you dont know the exact keys, if you want to help someone from another country or if you want to help someone with another os, like mac.

 

I hope you can help us with those bugs or at least explain us how to configure them right?

Hide Fields Based on Check box in Quick Action

Hi,

 

I have quick action called "Assign Engineer". I'm using $(Prompt()) function to display the fields. What I want to do is to hide "Appoint Date" and "Appoint Time" fields - based on user tick the "Require On-Site" checkbox. Anyone know it is possible to do it?

 

 

I know that in form, when select the field, there is Visible Expression in control properties but I didn't found it in the quick action and also don't know what expression need to use.

New Employee Service Request

Hi

 

I'm looking at expanding on our New Starter Process.

 

The first step is the form being completed on the Service Catalog by the Requesting manager.

 

This is then going to send an approval request to HR for them to authorise it being set up with all the info.

 

What im struggling with is if the Approval is Rejected, pending further information, how do I get that information recorded back in to the service request?

 

Eg. Request states Job Title but its incorrect as per HRs system.

 

HR would reject it stating "Job title incorrect"

 

I'd then want an email going to the manager asking for the correct title, they complete it (somewhere?) and then the Requst gets updated.

 

The issue is that the managers won't have access to the Service Request BO only Self Service/email. We wouldn't want a new SrvRq raised so is there any way of transferring the date to the existing request?

 

Or any other way of doing it?

Is anyone able to successfully use the "Apple Warranty Info" web rule in Data Analytics?

Once upon a time, the Apple Warranty Info rule worked for our organization.  At some point, I assume with an API change, that stopped.  I can use teh URL in the rule to check a device and return warranty in a browser, but the rule does not work.  ANy ideas are appreciated.  We are way back in LDMS 2016 (10.1.0.168) using Data Analytics.

APM Katalog vom 31.08.2018

In unserer Umgebung ist seit dem 31.08.2018 kein neuer Katalog mehr angekommen. Auf der Webseite von ivanti wo der Katalog heruntergeladen werden kann, ist auch nichts neues zu finden. Hat jemand das selbe Problem bzw. hat Informationen, warum der Katalog nicht aktualisiert wird.

Wir haben DSM 2018 im Einsatz.


Report of all incidents with notes and resolutions

So we are switching ticketing systems and a request came through that they would like to dump out all of the incidents into a report of some kind like a CSV or PDF. They want all of the notes and the resolution(s) in the report. I have admin access to the system but I was not the one who set this system up so I'm pretty lacking on knowledge for this system. Is there a simple way of getting this data out of the system that I just haven't found? We are on Landesk ServiceDesk 7.7.1.

How to Conditionally Hide Fields on a Service Request?

Based on the Request Offering chosen, I need to hide select fields on the Details tab, at the time of data-entry.

A pic to explain myself:

I've included "Commitment Date" and "Update Commitment Date" as fields on the ServiceReq.DefaultForm, as shown above.

However, I only want these fields to be visible if one specific Request Offering is selected.

 

Unfortunately, all of the Relationship tables (ServiceReqTemplate, ServiceReqTemplate (Reverse), and ServiceReqTemplateDefinition) are only populated with data once the ticket is saved.  This is evidenced by the Description and Name fields shown in the picture.  Both remain empty until after the ticket is saved.  So, I cannot make a condition based on any of those tables, as far as I can tell.

 

I would also be happy to use a field in the Parameters tab to set the condition.  Something like $(if <parameter> exists then true else false), but I don't know how to accomplish this.

 

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Employee Data Feed - Update all records with matching Employee ID

We have a feed set up that marks which employees need to be disabled and then runs a workflow to disable them. It works fine except for in the case that one employee has multiple user accounts sharing the same Employee ID.

 

This is expected function as normally you would want to do a match on an entirely unique field, but in our case what we actually want to do is update all accounts sharing a certain Employee ID.

We can't really change our feed because the Employee Deletes file comes from AD and any field we would use to find their account within Ivanti would have the same problem with not being unique.

 

My question is, is there any way to use a data feed to match on all records that fit a certain criteria and update them (i.e. sharing the same Employee ID)? As I said this is not a common case, but it is one that comes up.

unregister old clients

We have had a long time issue deleting and then unregistering old client,  Never really dug in to the issue, more a nuisance but would like to resolve.   any way, We can mark the client and delete, they then switch to Pending Delete, then if you right click and select unregister it will show not responding and then fail to unregister.  

Email communications from an prior email replacing the from address (reply, reply all, forward)

When we open a ticket in the system as an analyst we have the ability to view prior email communications that have been sent regarding the ticket.

At the top of the prior communications are buttons to reply, reply all and forward.

Clicking any of those will replace the from address with the analysts email address.

We don't have our system setup to route emails as analysts, instead it can only route from our main service desk email address. Secondly, we would prefer to have these emails come from the service desk email account so that any replies to these emails can be tracked through the listener.

 

2 options which I was hoping to get some advice on:

1) is there a way to remove the reply, reply all and forward buttons from the top of the prior communications?

2) is there a way to default the from address when using the reply, reply all and forward buttons to be the service desk system email?
