Setting up UnRead Flag in Tasks

Hello,

 

I'm trying to have the UnRead flag show in Task lists and forms. I've mirrored the settings of Incidents and have gotten the UnRead flag to show up in Tasks, but only after I change the Task Owner as this updates the ParentOwner field in the email or note.

 

Unlike Incidents, the ParentOwner field is not updated when an email or note is created from a Task. Does anyone know what is triggering the ParentOwner field update for new email/notes from Incidents/SR/Change?

Problem with GMW_LoadAPI in Recent Builds of GM PE?

We just encountered a problem re GMW_LoadAPI.  We have a number of apps that integrate with GoldMine via GMSX32.DLL.  Testing with GM PE 2018.1.2.15547 revealed the problem.  Subsequent testing with GM PE 2015 does not encounter the same problem.  We haven't tested with all versions of GoldMine between the two yet to determine when the problem arose.

 

The apps in question have been working successfully with GoldMine for many years, this isn't a question of new code that has never worked.

 

When testing with GM PE 2018.1.2.15547, calls to GMW_LoadAPI return -4 (cannot validate license file username/password).

 

We are passing a valid user name and password (MASTER and ACCESS) and have tried various other user name/password pairs, all with the same result.

 

Our apps trim the user name and password.  Instead we tried padding the user name to length 8 characters and password to length 20 characters, it doesn't solve the problem (the padded values do work in v2015 just as the trimmed ones do).

 

I can't help but feel that there must be a simple explanation because otherwise there would presumably be posts here on this subject.

 

What are we missing?

Editing user folders in Xtraction

All of the user folders I have are locked and I am unable to edit them.  I am also unable to save anything to even my own user folder.  Does anyone know how I can change this?

Report creation for Scheduled tasks

I need to create a report in Xtraction for all the scheduled tasks including details who scheduled it and at what time the report has been scheduled.

I have downloaded Xtraction 2018 before but now I could only find version 2017.2, why is this?

Display seconds value on date/time fields

Hi All,

 

Hopefully a simple one! How do I display the seconds value on date/time fields:

 

I thought I'd just chuck a label on the form and us the $(FormatDate()) function, but doing that gives me the below:

 

Any ideas?


Personalizing Edge On Windows 10 1803

I have been testing the template for Personalizing Edge (I followed the video posted by ivanti to import into my application groups).  It seems to work...except if I mimic a non persistent machine experience.  Here's what's happening:

1) Login to machine, create some bookmarks and add to reading list in edge.

2) Close Edge. Log out of machine.

3) Verify the ASG has uploaded and has data on the server.

4) Login to machine as an admin, wipe local windows profile for user ID that I performed steps 1-3.  Wipe appsensevirtual directory for user I performed steps 1-3.

5) Log back in as user I previously tested (Steps 1-3).

6) Open Edge....no personalizations from previous session.

7) Close Edge & Open again.

8) Favorites and reading list are there.

 

So, essentially, it seems to take a second opening of Edge before the favorites and reading list are there...

 

 

Anyone else Experienced  this?

Agent upgrade corrupt from 2017.3 to 2018.1

I have upgraded med core server from 2017.3 to 2018.1.

Everything works perfect except Agent upgrade on my clients.

 

The method i have tried:

 

1. Push out agent from console - agent is upgraded but loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

2. Manually installed agent on client - agent is upgraded but loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

3. Manually uninstalled agent, rebooted, install new agent - loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

5. Manulaly uninstalled agent with switch /FORCECLEAN, NO reboot, installs new agent - loosing connection (common base agent status: not loaded)

4. Manually uninstalled agent with switch /FORCECLEAN, rebooted, install new agent - WORKS!

 

But i cant reinstall agents manually on all computers....

The best would be if i can uninstall the agent WITHOUT rebooting and then install the new agent and not loosing contact with CORE.

 

Any ideas? Anyone who had the same problem?

Wondering if anyone can share an example using the Search Method?

Hi,

 

A data value object is displaying a item status.

Value for a disabled status is "D"  and "E" for enabled.

 

Question : Is there a way to transfom D to disable and E to enabled ??   Is there any way to do this?   scripting?

Heat Help Desk: Error opening Crystal Reports report message (windows user & privileges?)

 

I have a user trying to run a Crystal Report on a shared drive via Manage Reports menu. Which yields this error

 

     Heat Help Desk: Error opening Crystal Reports report message <filepath>

 

It looks like a file access problem, but I am not sure what user is trying to access the directory as we do not use unified network logins.
What user does the HHD use to access the report as when configured for stand alone Username/Passwords?

 

Other users successfully run this and other reports on this shared drive

IOS 12

I understand that iOS 12 will no longer trust iOS MDM servers with 1024-bit server certificates, and will require ECDHE ciphers. This will mean that devices with iOS 12 installed will stop communicating with the current iOS MDM server installations and will no longer be able to receive policies and commands from iOS MDM server

Will Avalanche 6 support this type of certificate? Can I update the iOS of my Apple estate to version 12

Block an executable based upon original file name

Is it possible to do this?  We want to prevent users from copying a specific file and renaming it to get past the blocking of the executable.  I don't see 'original file name' as part of the metadata within the console:

 

 

 


No email attachements on incidents logged via email

Calls logged via email do not appear on the ISM with attachments. The calls will be logged successfully onto the ISM but without attachments. The email work space also does not reflect those calls logged with atachments

2018.3 - Download and Windows Server 2016

I see on the download page that 2018.3 was scheduled for release on 8/31/2018 but I'm still not seeing the link yet. Is this being delayed?

 

Is the new version going to officially support Windows Server 2016 and MS SQL 2016? I would like to upgrade all my on premise servers to 2016 when I go to Service Manager 2018.1.1 but I don't see that IPCM officially supports it yet.

Windows 10 Inplace upgrade, Pakete auf Reinstall und "The network path was not found"

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich teste gerade mit der Windows 10-Installation sowie Inplace Upgrades. Soweit läuft schon mal alles. :-)

 

Ich habe ein paar Skripte, die nach einem Inplace upgrade über den Befehl "MarkPackageAsNotInstalled" und dem entsprechenden Software-Tag dann auf Neuinstallation gestellt werden. Auch das funktioniert - im Prinzip.

Allerdings erhalte ich dann öfters die Fehlermeldung

Could not make files available for job InstallJob:PolicyInstance.xxxx. Reported error is 'The network path was not found. (0x00000035)'.

 

Ich denke mal, das liegt daran, dass der Service Installer losläuft, während Windows noch beim Starten fertig konfiguriert wird. Da das Upgrade auch die Treiber migriert, könnte es gut sein, dass die Netzwerk einen neuen Treiber erhält und somit die Verbindung verliert.

 

Jetzt ist das in der Regel nicht weiter schlimm, im Moment verteile ich so gut wie keine Pakete, so dass auch kein weiterer Neustart des Rechners durchgeführt wird. Aber wenn das System später mal so weit wäre, dann wäre ja eh die Pakete aktuell und es würden das Inplace upgrade sowie alle durch das entsprechende Software-Tag zurückgesetzten Pakete eingespielt werden. Aber das würde dann nicht direkt im Anschluss geschehen.

 

Eine Idee wäre, den Start des Runtime Service zu verzögern, aber das würde dann ja alle Installationen treffen. Aktuell ist der Standard-Wert 0s eingetragen.

 

Wie handhabt Ihr das?

Hi Leute,

 

wir haben das Problem das nach einem Windows 10 Upgrade (egal von 1607 auf 1703 oder 1803) der DSM Agent nicht kommuniziert. Startet man den PC nochmal neu, kommuniziert der Agent einwandfrei. Das Verhalten ist ziemlich ärgerlich weil ich so nicht mehr in der Lage bin das System im Anschluss herunterzufahren oder andere Tasks nach dem Upgrade ausführen kann.

 

Ich hatte das auch schon als Ticket eingetütet, aber da gibt es bisher kein Fortschritt und ist auch wieder in der 2018.1 vorhanden. Habt Ihr das Problem auch und vielleicht einen Workaround gefunden?

Update Device based VPP App (Push)

Is it possible to push updates for Device based VPP Apps?

 

We can push VPP Apps and the initial installation works fine, but we are not able to push any further updates of our Device based VPP Apps.

The user is also not able to install updates because the Device based VPP Apps doesn't belong to the user account (apple-ID).
