Hi All,

I am using an Ivanti (agentless) to scan VMs on a host (vCenter) via machine groups

2 of 7 VMs are having issues while being scanned as the IP which has no route from our Ivanti server is the one scanned.

Is it possible for Ivanti to force the scan on a specific NIC/IP?

I tried to include the 2 VMs in the group via adding the required IP, it worked.

However, im afraid it will not do a snapshot before the patch deployment so I need to add the machines via Hosted virtual machines.

Nachdem in letzter Zeit einige Fragen dazu kamen (auch weil es ein Migrationsproblem gab, das mittlerweile in der Patch Collection behoben wurde), dachte ich mir es könnte vielleicht interessant sein mal zusammenzuschrieben wie sich DSM bei diesem Thema eigentlich genau verhält.

im Installerlogfile gibt es eine Zeile, die ungefähr so aussieht

Maintenance behavior of <Policy> / <Paket> is <Behavior> and maintenance status is <Status>

"Run" bedeutet hierbei, daß das Paket ausgeführt wird

"Enter" bedeutet, daß bei dieser Kombination der MaintenanceModus betreten wird. (d.h. der Status würde von "MaintenancePossible" auf "Maintenance" wechseln.

"OsInstallation" ist dabei der Zustand nachdem das Betriebsystem neu aufgesetzt wurde; hier werden alle zugewiesenen Pakete ausgeführt, auch wenn gerade keine Wartung wäre (außer man hat's im Default PostOsActionPackage deaktiviert)

den Status "MaintenancePossible" bekommt man, wenn der Wartungsmodusnicht gesetzt ist, aber der Rechner sich im Wartungszeitfenster befindet, d.h. er dürfte in den Wartungsmodus wechseln.

"MaintenanceExceeded" is der umgekehrte Fall, wenn der Wartungsmodus noch gesetzt ist, aber der Rechner sich nicht mehr im Wartungszeitfenster befindet.

Das "Normale" Verhalten erscheint in der DSMC als "Continue [Execution] after leaving [the maintenance window]"

Entsprechend ist der Text für "LeaveEarly" in der DSMC "Stop [execution] when reaching the end [of the maintenance window]"

Und die "WithOthers" Pakete, also die, die nur zusammen mit anderen Paketen ausgeführt werden, verhalten sich so, weil wegen diesen der Wartungsmodus nicht betreten wird.

Wir nutzen DSM in der Version 2018.1 mit installiertem Heat Remote modul.

Gelegentlich passiert es das bei der Fernsteuerung Tasteneingaben nicht angenommen werden.

Auch erscheint der Mauszeiger stark versetzt wenn mehr als 100% Skalierung unter Windows 10 eingestellt sind.

Die Probleme treten jedoch nicht immer auf.

Hat sonst noch jemand dieses Phänomen ?

I have installed the product "Device and Application control 5.1.2" whit MS SQL Express 2012 R2 SP2 in the same machine. We need to move SX database to another corporative MS SQL 2012 R2 SP2, which is in another domain without trust relationship.

We need to use MS SQL user, not domain user. We can change the MS SQL connection string in the registry, in service paramaters, to use ms sql user?

We have recently installed Ivanti EPM 2017.3.  (I have not got as far as installing any SU's yest)

We have begun to roll out new Windows 10 PC's along side our current Windows 7 PC's and all devices have now had a new agent built from the new EPM 2017.3 server installed.

Pretty much everything seems to be working fine but if we right clikc a Windows 7 device in the console and select Inspect the window states that real time moitoring is not enabled.  I can see in the agent though that it is.

This is the same agent on the Windows 10 PC's and Inspect works fine on those.

Inspect worked on the Windows 7 PC's before we upgraded to 2017.3 from 2016.3 so I am unsure why this would stop working now.

The only thing that has changed is the new server and the new agnet on all the PC's.

Anyone any thoughts why itwould pick on Windows 7 PC's?

I have configured a repair task for all of my pc , the task been successfully done but the problem no pc been updated on my xtraction widgets

the reboot agent setting is disabled on my landesk agent ! i don't know if that because of the reboot should the machine be rebooted so then i can see it updated on the xtraction screen !!

We've changed our anti virus software and the LDSD servers seem to be running slower and occasionally crashing.  We are running an old version of service desk which is 7.4.0.2466.

Does anyone know what anti virus exclusions we may need to add?

Hi All,

I was looking for some guidance from a SME regarding a forthcoming upgrade of the Workspace Manager environment. We have a number of issues which are likely to be resolved in newer versions.

Our RES Workspace environment currently runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 end user PCs. The servers currently have version (Workspace Composer) 9.9.1.0 installed, although one has 9.7.4.0 installed.

My questions related to how an upgrade of multiple servers should take place;

- Would all servers need to be upgraded at the same time, or can we take a phased approach without causing any issues?

- Are there any considerations or upgrades required on the database?

- Is there an immediate requirement to upgrade the VDX client on all the PCs following an upgrade to the server software?

- Should the VDX subscriber software on the servers and Pcs be the same version?

When reviewing previously, I was able to establish that the upgraded version could be installed over the top of the existing version we have installed. However I've not been able to find such information for the latest release 10.3

Apologies for what may seem silly questions - I've not been involved in a RES software upgrade and want to make sure no issues are caused by not upgrading in the correct manner.

Any advice which can be provided would be very helpful.

ich habe hier noch eine DSM 2016.2.1 (Build 3660). Mir ist grade ein Bug aufgefallen und wollte mal fragen ob Jemand weiß ob der Fehler noch in den neuen Versionen besteht.

Ich habe hier ein Software Set. Welches ich revisioniert habe. In der Rev2 habe ich ein anderes Paket hinzugefügt und ein altes entfernt. Die Policy habe ich nun für das Set kritisch aktualisiert und das Rollout ist auch schon abgeschlossen. Jetzt existieren aber bei dem entfernten Paket noch Policys die ich nicht löschen kann:

Entsprechend kann ich das Paket auch nicht löschen... Kennt Jemand das Problem?

I followed the instructions in the Help files for how to add the Event and Availability Log child panels to a CI type, but when I create an outage event, nothing populates in the Availability Log. It also doesn't add anything to the Availablity dashboard in Analytic Metrics. I don't see any relationship between the Frs_EVT_Event and Frs_AVL_CILog business objects, and the help files don't say anything about creating them.

Have any of you set this up, and made it work?

I did a fresh installation of Xtraction for Protect. I've imported the dashboards and I'm unable to view the dashboard.  I've double checked the SQL credentials and it was able to authenticate successfully.

Recently, we upgraded to version 10.1.797.1.

When I try to connect in the Management Center Console, I get the attached error. Has anyone seen this before?

had an earlier issue with one of the downloads for this not downloading, downloaded it manually fixed that, but now, even though a vast majority of the installs show as successful and I have done reboots and rescans, the affected machines still show as detected even though they were patched.

just looking at the history, the reason for those machines is "the client file rainstall.exe is below the minimum version"

I have a user that primarily uses Outlook for sending/receiving emails. They don't really want their emails imported into Goldmine because it adds to the load time when starting it. They want to know if they turn off Auto-Retrieve, will the emails in Outlook continue to get attached to histories?

I have a form that has a check box and multiple text boxes.  I want to create a Triggered Action to send an email if the check box is selected and one of the text boxes is not blank.  I am not sure how to write the Triggered Action to run when the check box is selected.  Would the check box be listed next to Field:, and the radio button next to "is changed" is selected, or would I have to create a Conditional Expression?  If I need to create a conditional expression, how would I write it.

I am struggling to get an if statement expression into our html email body. So far the only text that appears is the word "HELLO" in the Need By cell. HELLO was added just to confirm something was working.

I was ok when the requests were simple but now they want fancy. The goal here is to read a location code stored in Incident or Service Request and use that code to convert the Need By date stored in the Task to the corresponding location time zone.

My long term goal is to make this a global variable so it can be reused in multiple notifications without the need to edit all of them each time we add a new location. I am guessing it is a matter of missing "" or $().

Prod EM Policy conflict with IE11 is not working as working for QA EM . We have created new system Image with IE11 and it seems when we open IE11 with all appsense policies applied , homepage is not getting opened in IE11 ( shows blank ) .
