I have a problem after Velocity implemtation on a Zebra TC70 Android 5.1 Velocity Client 2.0.1, web profile.
The web application was originally designed for TelnetCE 7.2 on WT41N0 Windows CE 7.0.
In the application there is java code like this 'window.navigate("ida:IDA_BEEP")' used for play sound when a determinate event happens, is it possible to make the same with Android Velocity version or I need to change code in application?

Hi,
We are using TC8000 and TC56 Zebra devices with Velocity for different customers and host systems. After a few weeks Velocity is crashing (closing) when we are trying to connect to a session. We tried different Android and release versions.
Velocity Client 1.2.112. After manually uninstalling and reinstalling Velocity the problem is solved only for a few weeks. Velocity isn´t reporting anything.
I know that there was an issue in 1.2.09, but it should be fixed in 1.2.112. Any idea?

Android Version : 7.1.2
Avalanche Enabler : 6.2.1.292_zebra
Problem
This device can't connect to Avalanche server with avalanche enabler, so the device doesn't appear in Inventory view .

We have to create a prove of concept sending data to two fields in a 5250 session. The data wil be delivered by a service running in the background of the android device( Joya Touch)
But I have absolutely no experience concerning Velocity.
I looked at the scripting API guide and found two interesting functions:
Action.launchforResult()
Device.sendKeys()
And it seems possible that a script is triggered if it encounters a certain field
So my question is it at all possible?
Ich wollte mal fragen ob bei euch das installieren von Updates auch so unheimlich langsam ist? Das Scannen funktioniert super schnell, das installieren von Updates dauert aber ewig. In meinem Beispiel mal eine Win10 1703 Installation. APM hat hier ca 30 Patches zu installieren und hat dafür fast 4Std gebraucht. Die OS Installation und die Apps waren in 30min fertig. Hier mal ein Screenshot:
Um 18:37 waren alle eScript Pakete abgeschlossen und die Patches kamen. Dafür hat er dann bis 22Uhr gebraucht. Was mir dabei auffällt sind vorallem die kleinen Pakete. Zum Beispiel braucht der Patch für Notepad++ 50s für die Installation. Wieso? Mein selbst paketiertes eScript braucht auf der selben Maschine 3s für die Installation:
Das zieht sich durch sämtliche Freeware. Auch die Visual C Updates brauchen um einiges länger als meine eScript Pakete. Ein AV Schutz ist hier nicht aktiv, auch kein Windows Defender...
Könnt ihr das nachvollziehen? Ist das bei euch auch so?

GM Web launches without any issue. However, when performing a refined search, I receive the message "Server Error. An error has occurred on the server. Please contact your system administrator." After clicking Ok to the error message, everything is fine and I can perform the search. This does not occur when searching on the primary fields. And it also occurs no matter who is logged into Web - master rights and non-master rights.
I found a Google result that referenced GM Connect 2015 and it had to do with custom fields for Opportunities and suggests deleting the custom labels. I looked on this system's Opp Mgr and there are no custom labels. I could not find anything related to this error in this community's content.
Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Good Afternoon ISM Users,
Just wanted to post this question out here. In our UAT and Production environments of ISM our default [OtherObject] editing rule does not work in the FRS_Approval, FRS_ApprovalVoteTracking and FRS_MyItem business objects. As a result validation fields are not being populated with their corresponding RecId, so basic functionality is broken with regards to linking approval owners.
We have a workaround in place which enforces the relationship between FRS_ApprovalVoteTracking and the Employee BO however and links the employee RecId with the Approval Vote Tracking Owner_Valid field. However we anticipate issues with the basic default OtherObject functionality not working as intended.
Just curious if any one is aware of fixes that can be attempted beyond, rolling back as this option is not available to us.

I can't seem to get any of my endpoints to patch the O365 updates. Have followed the instructions and downloaded the appropriate patches (into the default /patch location, not custom)
One or two machines patched fine but now all of them are failing.

I'm a little bit confused so i'm going to quickly explain my problem and ask for advices.
I configured the definitions download to only donwload MS critical patches into the "Scan (global)" folder.
I then created a rollout project which works this way:
- Patches/definitions are downloaded daily and added to the rollout project.
- First step of the project is to scan and fix all the workstations of the IT staff (about 10 workstations). When exit criteria is reached, we go to step 2.
-Step two: we scan and apply the patches to a larger group (40-50 workstations). After let's say one or two days if everything is ok i'd like to tag my patches with autofix so that all the others workstations of the network will be patched is necessary.
My problem (and question) is that all the definitions stay in the same folder : "Scan (Global) which means that this folder will becomes bigger and bigger and that workstation will always be scan for definitions from the previous days or weeks.
Should i first keep the definitions i download into a personalized folder as unassigned and then, later, move them into the "scan (global)" folder so every day or weeks the rollout project will only use "fresh definitions" ?
I mean will it be a problem if i just keep the definitions into the "Scan (global)" ?
Does it means that the rollout project wil alway use all the definitions from this folder are only the newly downloaded?

There is no provision to install a package as the current user for MacOS packages. Does anyone know of a workaround? Packages like Microsoft Office 365 Teams can't be installed as root or else their internal auto-update feature stops working.

Currently I'm doing testing on the Mobility features, I've setup my device to Device Owner Mode and have successfully enroll the device. I did manage to change the Mobile Security and Connectivity Setting to the pilot mobile device.
But for the Mobile Compliance setting, I've scheduled a change settings and stated successful. When i check the pilot mobile inventory (Screenshot below), there's no Mobile Compliance setting added in.
Any idea what when wrong or I've miss something in the configuration?
Does anyone know how to manager permissions to allow a role to view all object records, but only be able to update records with a specific status?
I do not want users to be able to edit changes that have been submitted, but I do want them to view Changes in any state.
When I configure as above, IT Staff can only see records with the Status of "Logged." This is not what we want.

Wondering what the best practice is, if there is one, for how to treat device inventory records when a device is decommissioned. Under what circumstance would I archive a device, and when should I just delete it?
I spoke with a rep a month ago, that claimed 2018.3 would be available in October. Can anyone confirm this, or is it available already and I overlooked it? I've been looking all over, and can't seem to find anything in writing to confirm this. This release is supposed to contain Apple P&C functionality that we desperately need.

We receive new Dell optiplex 7060, but we have problem to image them with Landesk 2017.
I have no problem with others models of Dell (laptop and workstation)
I have install the good network driver and he start my template without problem.
the problem is after installig the new OS. The PC restarts, but he don't find the disk and start again on the network
He makes many tries on 2 PCs : Disk on AHCI, on Raid, start on UEFI only, start on Legacy, nothing happends correctly.
On my PC, the Windows Manager Boot disappears f I was on UEFI mode...
I don't see where the problem is.
Has someone the same probleme ? How to solve it ?

Hello professionals! We have a little problem with the replication. We have over 100 locations and each location has a server. The replication runs overnight and seems to be clean, all green and at 100%, but appearances are deceptive. Some software packages report "105 Download Fail". I compared the packages and found no difference. Number of files, time, HASH values match. Time differs sometimes, but that's only because the replication ran later. When I delete the software folder and replicate it, everything works fine. In addition, there is a problem that some software packages have not been changed for months and out of the blue download no longer works. The procedure is the same with the problem only I still reset the HASH values. With 100 servers, it's very costly. Did you have a problem like that? MfG

Hallo Profis! Wir haben ein kleines Problem bei der Replikation. Wir haben über 100 Standorte und jeder Standort hat einen Server. Die Replikation läuft über Nacht und scheint sauber zu sein, alles grün und bei 100%, aber der Schein trügt. Manche Software Pakete melden „105 Download Fail“. Ich habe die Pakete verglichen und habe kein Unterschied gefunden. Anzahl der Dateien, Zeit, HASH Werte stimmen überein. Die Zeit weicht manchmal ab, aber das ist nur, weil die Replikation später gelaufen ist. Wenn ich die Software Ordner lösche und neu Repliziere, dann funktioniert alles wunderbar. Zusätzlich dazu kommt ein Problem, dass manche Software Pakete wurden seit Monaten nicht geändert und aus heiteren Himmel funktioniert Download nicht mehr. Vorgehensweise ist bei dem Problem das gleiche nur setze ich noch die HASH Werte zurück. Bei 100 Servern ist es sehr aufwendig. Hattet Ihr so ein Problem? MfG
