Ability to "merge" tickets in Ivanti Service Desk

Hey Community,

Has anyone been able to do a ticket merger in Service Desk?  I have seen another tool that will allow you take a ticket that is a duplicate and trigger an action called "Duplicate Ticket" and when you do it asks what the duplicate is.  Once you supply the duplicate, it then gives you the option to Merge the data and if you select that it will take the Notes, Attachments, etc.. from the "duplicate" and add that to the ticket you generated the action from.

 

Has anyone been able to do something similar?

Create Note through XSLT

Hi everyone,

Have anyone managed to create a Note form an incoming email through XSLT? I'm half way. It manages to set some values, but not all of them like 'Category' and 'NotesBody'. The plan is to trigger an outgoing email for all incoming emails with certain parameters. And I want to track the progress based on the notes created.

Powershell Script wird zu schnell ausgeführt

Hallo,

wir haben bei uns DSM 2018.1 installiert und haben ein Problem mit Powershell Scripten, die länger brauchen.

 

Habe ein Powershell Script, dass die vorinstallierten WIndows 10 Apps entfernen soll:

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.BingWeather | Remove-AppxPackage

 

Der Befehl ist massenweise drin. Wenn man das Script von Hand ausführt, funktioniert es auch und deinstalliert alle Windows 10 Apps.

 

Wenn ich es jetzt aber in DSM paketiere und ausführen lasse, wird es sofort nach 2sek compliant und ist fertig. Dabei ist aber auf dem System leider nichts passiert

Von Hand braucht das Script immer ca. 2min.

 

Ich habe schon folgendes ausprobiert:

Hat jemand noch eine Idee? Wie führt ihr Powershell Scripts aus?

Windows Photo Viewer in Server2016

I'm trying to get Windows Photo Viewer working in Server 2016 + Workspace Control. I've enabled Photo Viewer trough the known registry change, and it's working, but not with Workspace Control. The application i've created has the following settings:

  • Program: C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe
  • Working directory: C:\Windows\System32\
  • Parameters: "C:\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\PhotoViewer.dll", ImageView_Fullscreen

 

I've added .jpg as the standard file association, but nothing comes up when opening a .jpg. What am i doing wrong? I'm using version 10.3.0.0.

Deploy SCCM image withEndpoint

Hello,

We are currently settings up our endpoint manager and have been going with professional services. We have been able to capture one machine and push it to another. We had a SCCM and were using an image from that prior to Ivanti. We are in a bind now, since we took the SCCM PXE down so that Ivanti can work and need some machines re-imaged in the mean time. Can someone explain if it is possible to use Ivanti to push the SCCM image out?

2017 Provisioning GUI will not load

I have two devices that work with our 2016 core but one does not work with the new 2017 core. With the computer shown to the right, it states that  X:\ldprovision\ldprovision_x64.exe is not compatible with the Windows you're running.

 

Any thoughts?

Chat Zone and Social Board queries

Hi - I have configured the Social Board and Chat in our Staging environment, however have a couple of issues with it:

 

1.  Sometimes personal chats sent to an individual do not arrive.  Does anyone know if there is any other configuration I could look at for this?

2.  Equally we also sometimes find that chats sent to everyone do arrive but only after refreshing the browser.  Again, is there a setting somewhere for this that I should be aware of?

 

Any help appreciated!

  1. Log case through email, case was logged and a notification was sent but when I logged the SSP –My items , I couldn’t find the attachment and got the below in description.User-added image

while checking the administrator account also , no attachments found for this ticket number

 

Note that Log case through SSP Interface , case was logged and a notification was sent. Attachment was shown

 

How to set default value as the first value in drop down list of request offering

Hi,

 

I add 2 drop down list in design request form and get values from pick lists with validation constraints. However, I want to show the first value of the second drop down list as default value if I choose relevant value from the first drop down list. Please suggest how can I do in expression?

Is there a way to rollback the database from 2018.3 to 2018.1?

Seeing a big issue with the way Inbound mail process an HTML Description field that wasn't there in 2018.1.  Is there a way to rollback the database schema?  We've upgraded to 2018.3 and done some development so those changes would need to remain.

How do I set permission of Incidents to be viewable by currently assigned analyst?

My goal is to make a "landing page" for a specific kind of incident that will have sensitive information in it.

From that "landing page" the analyst will have to assign the incident to themselves in order to view that information.

     I am thinking that this will be a round about way to keep a log of analysts who have viewed the information in the history column.

But I need to have it set that when each user looks at that ticket and doesn't have it assigned to themselves that they are unable to view any of the information.

 

Basically this, but in Service Desk.

 

Any ideas???

Help..

I have a list of Budget codes (100+) that I want to create a drop down pick list for.  I want to be able to import this once and then have our Self Service forms be able to select them.


I am stuck at how to actually do this.  I know in the SR I can do this manually, but I just want a simple one and done list.

Bug report: Whitespace showing up in HTML fields on save

Since the beginning of the 2018.3 update process (pre-UI changes) our tenant has been doing some really ugly stuff with HTML fields. We began noticing it on inbound email, when the listener copies the HTML from the message to the Description field of an Incident, it inserts TONS of   all over the place, generating huge amounts of whitespace by adding characters between tags that would otherwise not generate newlines. It also happens in the journal (especially bad when a conversation gets long, as the existing email is copied in and then gets expanded even further, so by the time you're several journals in the whole thing is a scrolling adventure) and in the Knowledge base if I copy in HTML (even clean handwritten HTML, not MS Word garbage) so it appears to be something on the backend that affects all HTML fields.

 

Anyone else seeing this?

i have a new batch of servers coming online where appsense EM actions are failing due to requiring elevation.

 

The same policy is on the same OS Server 2016  images in other machine groups running just fine.

 

The action in question has been running flawlessly in every OS and machine group it's applied.

 

The new image is generated by by Citrix ELM as a MCS image where previously they have all been generated by ELM as PVS images.

That's the only difference. No other application difference and no other permissions (at least ones set by me) difference.

I do not know where is it different for specifically.

 

 

In the case of the universal client version, does the API which can not be used exist?

Deploying EPM Agent via existing Software Distribution

Hello fellows,

 

First I will describe our Background:

we are starting to integrate the EPM 2018.1 for our company.

90% our Devices are Macintosh and this will be our crucial Clients.
Core Server + Console are fully set up and the first Client is in it via manually deploying our costum Agent.
We got the .pkg from the storage location \Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\ldlogon\mac.

With this .pkg we are going to create a Software Package and we are about to deploy the Agent via ivanti LANrev (our current Device Management Software) to our second test Device.

 

Now the Problem:
The ivanti EPM Agent is installed fully, but it will not take connection to the Console.

The Testdevice is still on "Unmanaged Devices".

 

Is there anywhere a mistake I´ve made?

Hi Leute,

 

ich habe hier 2 Systeme die die oben genannte Meldung für sämtliche Pakete werfen. Die Sitezuordnung passt, der Client ist dem Master Depot zugewiesen, von dort installieren auch die meisten anderen Clients ohne Probleme. Ich habe bei einem von dem beiden Systemen nun schon den Cache erneuern lassen und auch schon den Agent mit niclean entfernt und neuinstalliert. Das Problem bleibt bestehen.

 

 

Hat einer eine Idee wie ich das troubleshooten kann? Ich möchte ungern die Systeme neuinstallieren müssen.
