Is anyone else seeing this patch fail a lot on Windows 10? I can't even get the reason for the failure in EMSS. When I click on the update to try and get a reason for the failure I get no information. Just wondering if others are seeing this, and what the reason could be.

Incident and linked Knowledge
I had been working under the impression that in Incident when an analyst clicks "Link" or "Link and Resolve" on a Related items knowledge article that it did the following:
Link - send the customer a link to the knowledge item in an email, asking them whether it's helpful or not
Link and resolve - as above, but presumes it is the answer and also resolves the incident.
I was a bit disappointed when I found out that ootb, Link just creates a link from one to the other with no action to the customer and the latter just copies the raw text from the linked knowledge into an email (no attachments, ability to rate etc).
So I'm working to try and make it work like I had been led to believe it did.
So far I have 2 approaches:
1) Triggered Business Rule on Incident on link to knowledge send an email with a URL link to the knowledge
Trigger is an on link IncidentAssocFRS_Knowledge:FRS_Knowledge#QandA event, which then does an email.
After much trial and error i found the correct syntax to address the Knowledge in the email is: $([FRS_Knowledge#QandA.]RecId) which lets me link directly to the knowledge:
<a href="https://TENANTURL/Modules/SelfService/#knowledgeBase/view/$([FRS_Knowledge#QandA.]RecId)" target="_blank">link</a>
This works ok if the user already has a session open, but if they don't it kicks them out to our external auth provider and doesn't direct them back to the linked page after login.
Is there a way around this? i.e. is the behaviour to default back to the homescreen after external auth rather than the link provided configurable?
2) Our customers use the ResponsiveUI, so I've followed the guide to add a related bo to the incident selfservice form, and have a clickable link/box which displays the linked knowledge in a form or a link to the knowledge center - it's a bit clunky just now, but it works and I can share the method of anyone is interested.

Moving Images in Knowledge Articles
Is there any way to move images in the HTML editor when creating a knowledge article without using source code edit.
Our Knowledge Manager should just be able to move images as she needs to create articles, but we are unable to align the images.
We are trying to get the format to look as below, but the images can only be moved up and down.
We have tried to drag the image to the right but no luck.
Below is what the content looks like when we paste it into the knowledge article editor. In this case we are using knowledge.document.

Could not login into GoldMine Incorrect Password!
GoldMine PE 8.5.2.8
Hi, I have a working remote site installations on two PC's both running Win 10. However the installation on my server (Win Server 2008 R2) has for no apparent reason stopped allowing logins. This means the remote sync is failing to connect. There's a silent login startup script on the server that is presumably failing because if I try to log in manually I get a dialog saying "Could not login into GoldMine Incorrect Password!".
SQL Server Management Studio can connect to the database so that's not the problem. I've tried copying the GM directory to a backup directory, then uninstalling GM and re-installing from the setup.exe but even then I get the same dialog, regardless of whether I use MASTER and the default pwd or whether I use my own username and password.
I have an up to date copy of the database on one of the remote machines that is working fine. What's the best way to get the server install back up and running and synced so it has the same data that is currently on the remote?

Manually creating software inventory + licenses
Evening,
After a discussion management decided not to use software discovery, but instead would like us to manually track purchased software licences, and assign them to computers under CI.
So far, I'm not seeing anything OOTB to make that happen.
What I'm wondering (before I start creating objects) is this :
Do we just create a new form under CI named Software to link with computers?
Or is there something OOTB we are missing?

Windows 10 1803 Start Screen is not persisting pinned shortcuts
On EM v. 2018.3.
I am using the built in personalization templates to capture/apply the Start Screen for Win10 1803. For some reason, the only items that get persisted are the UWP/AppX/Modern apps. If I pin a shortcut to a "legacy" (Win32) installed application, like Chrome or Word 2016 (installed to C:\Program Files\XYZ), these shortcuts are not applied.
I've verified that there is data in the captured elements and I've tried adding a few of each type of application and consistently, the legacy apps are not there, yet the UWP apps are.
I've also made sure that there are no external policies being applied to interfere.
I've tried to follow some of the "fixes" that export the tile layout at logoff, then inject it at logon with a GPO, then unlock. It appears that those were for older versions of Win10 and do not work.
I imagine that the Start screen in Win 10 is a moving target with MS constantly changing the way it stores these settings.
Is there something I'm missing here or has anyone gotten this to work properly?

Using an Internal CA SSL Cert
So rather than pay a bunch of money to buy a specific SSL Cert for our CSA, our Security Team suggested using an SSL Cert signed by our Internal CA. Has anyone done this before and gotten it to work?
I created the CSR from the CSA then sent that to our Server Team and they generated a certificate signed by our own internal CA. I had them send me the cert with the full Certificate Chain (if I open it in Notepad++ it has 3 sections with separate Begins and Ends).
It applied successfully to the CSA and it looks similar to other screenshots I've seen of CSAs with certificates, but if we HTTPS: into it from a Domain joined PC it still comes up as untrusted - which it shouldn't do as our domain joined PCs already have the certificates from our Internal CA?
Oh and we are running CSA version 4.4.1-505.20180829.1244

DSM APM and Java updates next year
Does iVanti know how they are going to handle java updates of Java JRE running on Desktops\Servers come January of 2019? Oracle is saying we must purchase a license per user for each desktop that has Oracle Java, as well as servers. Publicly available updates will no longer offered for free.
Here is info on this, and my quick interpretation of the information.
All Java that is 8 and above will stop receiving publicly available updates after the first of the year in January, the exact date I'm not sure. You can continue to use Java without a license, but you will not receive any updates to it.. good luck if your doing vulnerability scans.. :-) The license to use Java JRE on each desktop is user based, so your supposed to have a license for each user that has the ability to login to a workstation.
For servers were still figuring out whats required, but its core based and if your virtualized it doesn't look good.

Ability to "merge" tickets in Ivanti Service Desk
Hey Community,
Has anyone been able to do a ticket merger in Service Desk? I have seen another tool that will allow you take a ticket that is a duplicate and trigger an action called "Duplicate Ticket" and when you do it asks what the duplicate is. Once you supply the duplicate, it then gives you the option to Merge the data and if you select that it will take the Notes, Attachments, etc.. from the "duplicate" and add that to the ticket you generated the action from.
Has anyone been able to do something similar?

MC not following scheduled deployment
Hello all,
I hope someone can help me with this.
I have set up my deployment groups to perform agent installs in our maintenance period which is 2am to 6am in the morning, with the ability to postpone for students in our 24hr labs.
However machines are starting to download and install during the business hours and rebooting with a 2 minute warning which is far from ideal.
Am I missing something or misunderstanding the purpose of this?

Failed installing identity server when upgrading to Ivanti 2017.01
Hi all,
I am upgrading my LANDesk core server from LANDesk 2016 to Ivanti 2017.01 and it has failed at Installing Identity Server. Rather than do the upgrade on our production environment I decided to be safe and do it on a Development environment first. The environments weren't setup by myself and I haven't used our development environment before, I am fairly new to the business. I did all the necessary pre-checks and made sure pre-requisites were met beforehand using the forums and product documentation. Upon doing the upgrade the wizard stopped at the step "Installing Identity Server". I checked the logs and found the following error message in:

Upon doing some research on the internet, any documentation I could find and the forums here as well as comparing the development environment core server with our production environment core servers I found that in IIS>Server Certificates we are missing the certificate called 'LANDESK Secure Token Server' which might have something to do with this however my experience in LANDesk is somewhere between basic and intermediate and therefore I am not sure what to do next and how to resolve this. I have contacted Ivanti support however despite this server being out of action and this being a SEV 2 they seem to be extremely slow at responding and not much help and so if there is anyone in the community that has had similar issues with the upgrade process and failing on Installing Identity Server and has any ideas of how to fix this it would be much appreciated. I believe this has something to do with ISS, Server Certificates and STS but I don't know how it should be configured or know enough about it to troubleshoot further.

Xtraction How I can include on dashboard a SQL query ?
I would like to include my SQL query ( exported from Ivanti management console ) on a dynamic graohic of Xtraction ( or Dashboard ).
But my problem is : I can include my sql query on report designer ( and it's work ) but I can't do a Dashboard with this query. And I can't include a new componant,
