Windows 10 1803 Start Screen is not persisting pinned shortcuts

$

On EM v. 2018.3.

I am using the built in personalization templates to capture/apply the Start Screen for Win10 1803. For some reason, the only items that get persisted are the UWP/AppX/Modern apps. If I pin a shortcut to a "legacy" (Win32) installed application, like Chrome or Word 2016 (installed to C:\Program Files\XYZ), these shortcuts are not applied.

I've verified that there is data in the captured elements and I've tried adding a few of each type of application and consistently, the legacy apps are not there, yet the UWP apps are.

I've also made sure that there are no external policies being applied to interfere.

I've tried to follow some of the "fixes" that export the tile layout at logoff, then inject it at logon with a GPO, then unlock. It appears that those were for older versions of Win10 and do not work.

I imagine that the Start screen in Win 10 is a moving target with MS constantly changing the way it stores these settings.

Is there something I'm missing here or has anyone gotten this to work properly?

How to build a saved search for Incidents created by my team

$

I'm struggling to find a way to build a saved search where the criteria for Created By equals all the employees on my team. Currently I have 14 people and can get the results by using 14 OR statements for created by. Is there a way to use their common team to handle this expression. There is no CreatedByTeam field natively in Incidnet, but can i use some expression to pull the same data?

I know how to write this in SQL, but not sure how or if possible in their native Saved Search tool.

Set Owner field as the Manager of the Owner Team?

We're running ISM 2018.1.1 - I'm trying to automate a Change record that is triggered from a Service Request workflow. Everything is working fine, except we still have to manually enter the Owner of the Change.

I'm using a Create Object block in the RO workflow to create the Change record, and it sets the Owner Team. I want to then set the Owner (Change Manager) as the manager of that team; can a QA read the Owner Team field, then find the manager of that team and put that name in the Owner field?

Help..

I have a list of Budget codes (100+) that I want to create a drop down pick list for.  I want to be able to import this once and then have our Self Service forms be able to select them.

I am stuck at how to actually do this.  I know in the SR I can do this manually, but I just want a simple one and done list.

Options on how to expose ISM to 3rd parties?

$

Has anyone explored the different options on how to expose On-Premise ISM to 3rd parties externally?

We have current and new business requirements whereby we need to " expose " our On-Premise ISM to 3rd parties externally to both push and pull data. This is becoming more and more of a reality with the growing need to accommodate for better integration between On-Premise based solutions and Cloud / Other platforms for external parties.

As far as I know, there may be 3 x options

1. Leverage a Cloud based instance which sits between the On-Premise solution and the 3rd party / external

users. This will be specifically designed and configured to allow for 3rd parties to consume and push data of

which will  then get synchronized between the Cloud and On-Premise instance.

2.Explore the option to expose the ISM On-Premise application via the Azure AD application Proxy. This

particular approach may most likely be the most “ cost “ effective and least effort required as opposed to the

option 1 to create a complete new Cloud Instance and require less system maintenance and admin. We've

briefly explored this option internally with a different application though, in this case being Confluence and

Jira from the Atlassian Stack which largely worked quite well.

3. Explore the option of " exposing " specifically the Self Service / Mobile Role of ISM to 3rd parties, which

may reduce the challenge of the licensing costs, this could either be also via the Cloud or Azure proxy

potentially.  If there is not much complexity with regards to the pushing and consuming of data via the 3rd

parties then this would be a great option too.

If anyone perhaps may have already or is currently exploring either of the above or some similar intiatives

then please let me know as this would be great to share ideas and learnings where possible.

Windows 10 1809: Site Determination funktioniert nicht

$

Hallo zusammen

12:58.11.338  2 cmsext.dll    Interface 'Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-LM' with MAC '309C2339C2D3' and IP address '0.0.0.0'

12:58.11.338  2 cmsext.dll  Adding 0.0.0.0 to the list of IP addresses

Reboot bringt nichts...

erst wenn der Rechner online ist und ich den DSM Dienst neu starte erkennt er die IP Adresse und ordnet er sich der richtigen Site zu

Sind die Probleme bekannt oder gab es die schon in der Vergangenheit...

Lösungsansätze...?

Danke

Timo

EPM 2018.1 - LDAP Group membership issue

$
0
0

Hi, we're on-prem customer and I've noticed some odd behaviour, it's either on the core/DB or agent, I can't quite work out which one.

The inventory on machines is not recording the LDAP group membership properly. For example, my laptop is in 4 different AD groups, EPM is only showing two, but appears to have mix and matched the records. This only appears to be affecting the machines LDAP group info, user group info is fine.

ldapwhomai reports the group membership properly, I ran an outputted inventory scan and found the below, which seems to suggest it's the agent mixing and matching the memberships:

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:P) - Name =CN=PG-SW-Pilot Group,OU=Software,OU=Standard Permission Groups,OU=Standard Groups,OU=Groups,OU=User and Group Assets,DC=insurance,DC=lan

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:P) - Description =Pilot Group for Software Deployments

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:P) - Name =CN=PG-SW-Google Chrome,OU=Software,OU=Standard Permission Groups,OU=Standard Groups,OU=Groups,OU=User and Group Assets,DC=insurance,DC=lan

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:P) - Description =Add machines for google chrome deployment

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:D) - Name =CN=Domain Computers,CN=Users,DC=insurance,DC=lan

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:D) - Description =All workstations and servers joined to the domain

LDAP Groups - Machine - (Display Name:P) - Name =OU=Portable,OU=Swansea,OU=Clients,OU=Hardware Assets,DC=insurance,DC=lan

If I read this right (and I could well be wrong) it's trying to list the groups using the same display names, i.e. all with the display name of "P" - one for "Name =CN=PG-SW-Pilot Group" and one for "Name =OU=Portable,OU=Swansea,OU" and finally "ame =CN=PG-SW-Google Chrome"

I've tried uninstalling the agent/deleting from the console and reinstalling to no avail.

Tried following this: How to set up and configure policies to use LDAP Groups or LDAP Containers  but I don't seem to get any different results.

I've just changed the inventory history to 1 day (we've only just migrated so don't much history to keep) in case it's something in the history causing the issue. But I don't understand how when I get the above output on a manual scan on my computer. I would assume if it was the history or database I should only see that issue on the console, not output on the agent.

Can anyone recommend other settings/logs I can check for what might be causing this issue?

Windows 10 Setup Update Verzeichnis

$

Hallo,

Chat.js Ajax.Request failing for comments

$

Hi all,

Another hiccup on the road to getting Chat working.

I've been able to work out a lot of the bugs with help from this community, but now I'm having trouble with an Ajax request in returning the comments in a chat to display on the window after responding/opening a chat request.

So the code below is meant to generate a URL to gather the comments belonging to the currently open chat session:

// get new comments
function GetComments() {  var url = '../wd/Query/List.rails?class_name=' + CommentClassName + '&attributes=Id%2C' + CommentTextAttribute + '%2C_CreateDate%2C_CreateUser%2c' + CommentToParentRelationship + '.Status.Name%2C' + CommentToParentRelationship + '.RaiseUser.Title%2C' + CommentToParentRelationship + '.CurrentAssignment.User.Title&cns=' + CommentToParentRelationship + '-e-0-_a_Id-gte-1-';;  url += '&c0=' + SessionGuid + '&c1=' + LastCommentID;  new Ajax.Request(url, {  onSuccess: function(response) { GetComments_Response(response) },  onFailure: function(response) { Ajax_Failed(ErrorGettingComments, response) }  });
}

The URL, when entering in valid data for chat session GUID and comment ID (0 by default) and returns all the comments for that particular chat session, which is Great!

However the above code is failing at the new Ajax.Request stage as it only returns a failure status and not a succeed to call on the GetComments_Reponse function

function GetComments_Response(response) {  ResetError();  var NewComments = new Array();  var NewCommentsText = '';  var SessionEnded = false;  var json = eval('(' + response.responseText + ')');  console.log(json);  if (json.objects.length > 0) {  json.objects.each(function(item) {  if (item.attributes['Id'] > LastCommentID) NewComments.push(item);  });  NewComments.sort(function(a, b) { return a.attributes['Id'] - b.attributes['Id'] });  for (var i = 0; i < NewComments.length; i++) {  NewCommentsText += '<br /><b>' + NewComments[i].attributes['_CreateUser'] + ' - ' + NewComments[i].attributes['_CreateDate'];  NewCommentsText += '</b><br />' + NewComments[i].attributes[CommentTextAttribute];  LastCommentID = NewComments[i].attributes['Id'];  if (NewComments[i].attributes[CommentToParentRelationship + '.Status.Name'] == WaitingResponseStatus) $('StatusSpan').innerHTML = ChatPendingText;  else if (NewComments[i].attributes[CommentToParentRelationship + '.Status.Name'] == InProgressStatus) {  if (IsAnalystSession)  {  $('StatusSpan').innerHTML = ActiveAnalystSessionText.replace('{user}', NewComments[i].attributes[CommentToParentRelationship + '.CreationUser.Title']);  }  else {  $('StatusSpan').innerHTML = ActiveUserSessionText.replace('{analyst}', NewComments[i].attributes[CommentToParentRelationship + '.CurrentAssignment.User.Title']);  }  }  else {  $('StatusSpan').innerHTML = SessionEndedText;  SessionEnded = true;  }  }  if (NewCommentsText != '') {  $('ChatHistory').innerHTML += NewCommentsText;  //alert('about to scroll');  $('ChatHistory').scrollTop = $('ChatHistory').scrollHeight + 200;  //alert('scrolled');  }  if (SessionEnded == true) SessionEndedDisplay();  }
}

My colleagues who have looked this over think that the URL, or the data is gathers is not being changed to a JSON object for the GetComments_Response to use.

Velocity WEB: Screen wakeup event / Keyboard always shown

Hi,

is there any way how to keep the keyboard always visible in Web host session?

So far I was able to toggle keyboard visible everytime the random page loads, but when I put device to sleep and wake up, keyboard is hidden. I was looking for some kind of "onScreenWakeUp" event, but I had no luck. I also tried to use Page Visibility API, but the event is only fired when I switch between applications, not when device wakes up.

Thank you for any ideas.

show draft service request, created from incoming email, in "pending requests" in service catalog

$

0

Hello,

our idea: when HR department confims in their system a "new employee" their system sends

1) a structured mail to Ivanti --> we create a service request in status draft (customer = the head of the department where the new employee will start), link an existing request offering template "New employee" and create the service request parameters. This all works fine.

2) a mail to the head of the department with a link to the service catalog in Ivanti.

Our aim was that the head of department would see the draft service request as a "pending request" in his/her service catalog. However this is not the case.

We checked the service request object for other fields <> status that could hide it from the pending requests but we did not find anything.

Does anybody know what else could be the reason why this service request does not appear under "pending requests"? Is there any documentation when a request shows up as pending request and when not?

Kind regards, Jan Hordies

Remove unknown dispatcher

Hello,

Somebody has managed to install a dispatcher on a user's laptop and I'm not able to remove the dispatcher from the Ivanti Automation Console.

I can remove it from the dispatchers list, delete it, but after a while it will appear again.

Not sure, but I suspect the computer(Dispatcher) appears every time the user is starting his laptop at home.

How can I remove an offline dispatcher for good?

Thanks

Basically I have a multi-select window and I want to hide/show another attribute based on the selection in this multi-select box, ideas?

This is the calculation I created, it did not work...it hides the attribute but does not display it back when the correct option is selected, and yes, I did make the multi-select box calculate on change
